Hi Ange, I hope you and James are both OK xx ❣️❣️❣️⚘️⚘️ Thankyou so much for sharing this video podcast and Day 11 of your Cast Ons. I love the colours that you've put together for your Pillow Cover. I spin mostly singles yarn and have had the same snapping problem, with some if my Handspun Yarns, I wondered if I'd left them too long before I wound them, so maybe we just have solved each ithers problem with the Yarns 🎉🎉 I hope you have a Wonderful Weekend 😊🌝 Happy Spinning and Knitting Special Fibre Friend 🎡🐑🥰🥰🌈🌈 Take care, stay safe and warm 🌞😊🔥 Lots of love and Big Hugs to you both and Cuddles for Newt Jen xxxx ❤️❤️❤️❤️🫂🫂🫂🫂🐈⬛🫂
All is well here thank you. We’ve had a pretty uneventful week, which is good as I’ve managed to get in some good knitting and spinning time. I hope all is well with you 🤞🧡🤗
Hi Ange, you're nearly there🎉 I've just been working on my granny stripe blanket for our new grandchild, loving using all the fabulous stylcraft special dk. It's looking so colourful🌈 Stay safe Xx
Really interested in your singles knitting Ange! It looks really great and a wonderful colour. As a relatively new spinner I haven’t really tried knitting up any of my efforts yet! But I think I might- soon! That medieval village looked really interesting to visit. Thanks for another great video and you are nearly there with the cast ons👏🥰
Update from here in rainy Lancashire - finished the Hansel Hap (Cast On in last year’s party), and finished two of this year’s cast on, a cowl in handspun (including some beehive yarn)and a pair of dk socks.
We’ve had lots of rain here in South Wales too. I’ve had quite a few soggy early morning walks this week 🤣 Yay for finishing your Hansel, I’d love to knit one of those some day
Hi Ange! I’ve found it quite difficult to not touch all of my twelve cast ons! Well, there is one that has not seen any love. I hurt my wrist a few weeks ago shoveling heavy snow, so I’ve been knitting on my cozy memories blanket ( not one of my 12) just to do some easy knitting. Your hanspun looks fabulous! Looking forward to seeing that complete. Happy knitting!
I have started a second and third crochet baby blanket. One and two are now completed. I’ve also cast on the simple summer tweed top down v neck sweater. And a batch of memory squares for infant loss. Charity knitting seems to be the theme of my cast ones this year.
I do need to get all of my cast ons their proper due by putting them up on Ravelry, maybe tomorrow morning I'll get there. I believe I have more than 12 cast ons. blessings.
Hi Ange. I am working on my 12, I am rotating so that I work on each for one week. I am still waiting for you to start with 🎲 😅 It was such a fun way to choose project to work on. Hugs for you 🧡
Fabulous cushion! Thanks for sharing the footage of the medieval village 🤩 There was a willow ‘thing’ on the table next to the basket of wool, was there any info on what that was please? I’ve never seen anything like it, is it even a fibre tool?! 🤣 I’ve seen that before in museums 😉
I have never made a singles yarn. Or even knit with one I think 🤔 But I really should get some of my older handspun used. I just never know what to make, especially smaller quantities. I need to finish a few projects before I cast on even more things. 😜
Ooh yes it’s so interesting working with older handspun I think. I can definitely see a difference when I work with my older skeins, hopefully that means I’m improving 🤞🤣😃🧡
I love the two yarns you've chosen for your cushion cover! The pink one is knitting up beautifully. Looking forward to seeing the finished object!
Thank you! 😊
Sweater looks fabulous, what a wonderful surprise gift 🎁
It really is, it’s so cosy and I will absolutely treasure it 🥰😃🧡
And used a hap stretcher for blocking for the first time - genius design and so effective.
Beautiful cushion - is looking amazing so far! Your spinning is so lovely, it's going to be amazing.
Thank you! 😊
Lovely company :) definitely an enabler. I just want to knit today!!❤😂
Aww thank you for watching. I’m glad we got to spend some time knitting together this week 🧡🧡
That cushion looks so good already x
Thank you Jane 🥰😃🧡
The pink is knitting up so pretty. I am working on one of my 12castons now. The cow made me laugh.
Hehe I just had to share as it’s not every day a cow tries to eat you 🤣🤣🧡

You picked some beautiful colours for your blanket so I can imagine how beautiful it’s looking 😍😍
Hey. Happy to see you get closer to the finish line. I just emptied my spindle while watching. Have a great day
Thank you 🤩 I’m spinning this evening too

Ooh yes you should definitely cast on with your handspun soon Heather, there is nothing quite like working with your own handspun yarn 🥰🧡🧡😃

Aww I hope your wrist heals soon, that’s no fun at all 🧡🤗🤗

That’s wonderful Tonia. I’m sure your charity makes will be welcomed and treasured by whoever receives them 🧡👏👏
Any chance of a recap of all 12 projects from this year’s Cast Ons?
I do need to get all of my cast ons their proper due by putting them up on Ravelry, maybe tomorrow morning I'll get there. I believe I have more than 12 cast ons. blessings.
You are not alone Celeste several folks this year have not been able to stop at 12 😃🧡 Thank you so much for joining in with such enthusiasm

Sending lots of woolly hugs back to you too 🤗🤗🧡🧡🧶🧶

There wasn’t any info but I’m guessing it might be a distaff to use while spinning
