Carson Cloud I just woder ppl opinion/s about using sscm. Why to use it? For me as exp IT, its hardcore and confusing. I dont know, but i like Lazyboy tools.
Carson Cloud is this tool easier for U than wsus or pdq as an orchestration platform for windows hosts? I have like 3k win hosts and about 300 win servers! Im going nuts when like smtg like this hapends, CVE-2020-16898, with sccm!
hello Sir, supposed we deploy patches around on 10 machine and out of 10 only 7 machines has deployed the patches successfully but remaining 3 machine got stuck in to the rebooting page so in this scenario which process you follow and how to troubleshoot.

I have a bit of issue, I am able to download/deploy updates, for example, for Windows 1909, however, the updates do not show in the Software Center in the Windows machine 1909. Having said, I attempted to install an app, Chrome, and i am able to see in the software center with no issue. Any inputs?
Hi, I configure following settings for software update 1. install wsus 2. install sccm software update 3. created client policy in sccm and set software update settings and then deploy to all clients After doing all this my clients are still downlaod updates from microsoft, Do I need to configure gpo to point all my machine to wsus server or should client policy be created local wsus policy.
How I can cancel or delete the deployment when the deployment process is running?? For example if I ran into any issue or impact due to the deployment process. Could anyone please help by providing the answer here? Thanks in advance

@@CarsonCloud I am asking about MS monthly patch deployment. As per my understanding if we want to cancel the deployment, we can go to monitoring > right click on the deployment job> click on disable. Is this the step to disable the job? Can you please answer. Thanks in advance
@@CarsonCloud thanks for the response. actually we are pushing Microsoft patches from sccm to particular servers. After pushing also patches was not updated in some of the servers. For that servers we are opening and installing the patches manually. I want to push patches from sccm console without opening the server. Is it possible to do that?
you set the required timeline, the patches should get install automatically. unless there is a Maintenance window on the collection or issue with sccm agent.

It was nice but for which version of SCCM.
CB 1806. it should be very similar to version 2012 and above
So, why it needs to schedule for 7 days as microsoft patches are schedule on monthly bases.
Im using sccm but the wsus or pdq is much more easier. Also the sccm agent so heavy on client pcs.

@@IvarsRuza - I have been using SCCM since the birth of SCCM(formerly known SMS). SCCM is very powerful too for manage desktops.

@@IvarsRuza WSUS is the back bone of SUP for SCCM. If you take the time to learn/hands-on you'll get it. I have managed from 300 to 60k endpoints.
at the time of deploying software patches ,in the progress mode if all the patches are not deployed successfully then what we will do?

check if you have Maintenance windows for those devices. look in wauhandler.log it should tell you a lot of information.

no you don't need GPO. SCCM client will automatically pointing to SCCM WSUS

you can disable the deployment by right click then disable.

are you referring to Software updates deployment or application deployment? there is no disable for application deployment.
