Why PLTR Looks Like it Has Gone Too Far, Too Fast

  • Palantir's (PLTR) big rally puts the stock at risk if the company cannot continue its massive growth, according to Joseph Bonner from Argus Research. How will the company show that there is a consistent market that justifies the stock's over 200% rally in 2024, and can it grow its commercial segment to protect against a downturn in government spending? Joseph explains why these issues led him to downgrade the stock.

I don't think analysts know what to make of Palantir. They don't even seem to have a good handle on exactly what the company does.

Very Very depressing listening to this person offering absolutely no value to the valuation conversation.

This analyst is clueless about Palantir. There is no stopping Palantir. I easily see $70.00 by the end of the year. Palantir has absolutely no competition. They will continue to secure lucrative contracts with western governments and companies. Palantir is just getting warmed up. I buy PLTR monthly and will be holding long and strong.

There are many reasons why PLTR's future will bear fruit. First, they are the ones who are helping the GOV understand the need for investment in the industrial complex. With Mike Gallagher (ex US rep who sat on defense committees) and their history with GOV contracts, they are the player in GOV. They have rightly convinced that software IS the driver of future warfare, in conjunction with hardware. TITAN and MAVEN are proof, and still early stages of this move. Next, PLTR understood the value of engineers sitting with military personnel in the field in terms of developing apps. So, they took the same model into commercial with the bootcamps, and figuring out the cost model later. By going into the customer's environment, it affords better deployment of solutions. Next, Karp said on the conference call that PLTR is learning from both fronts, and applying their learnings across GOV and commercial. Next, PLTR uses their own software within PLTR's business. This helps the developers understand what works, and how, and why. Self-feedback loop. Next, the LLMs are commodities, so AIP just takes advantage of this by offering the use of these various LLMs (or company-specific LLMs). Next, Karp said in the conference call that they want to ensure that the software is best in class and they do this by not (yet) overextending into 10,000 customers. They are focused on 'winning' with the customers they have, and then the scale will take care of itself down the road. Folks that use AIP and Foundry with the ontology, will eventually move to other customers and demand AIP be examined at a new company. And that will help PLTR's products will eventually find their way into Europe. Last, their products are capable of working in ANY industry, healthcare, energy, logistics,...etc. I don't see any reason why any medium to large sized company would not investigate PLTR right now. Karp and PLTR said you are either an AI 'have' OR an AE 'have not'. And I believe they are right. Think about every company having many disparate databases, with no real way of connecting them, including company processes, and Foundry with ontology and then AIP with the LLM of your choice, and then, deploying 'agents' that actually perform tasks... PLTR is sooooo well positioned, that the financial analysts get hung up on the typical 'valuation' models, but are missing the entire point. It has been technology that has been the thing for GDP over the last 30 years, and AI is just the next revolution. We are in the second inning of a nine inning game.

This guy is like most of the analysts out there, they don't know much about Palantir, which they should. Palantir is not the normal company, companies like this don't come around much. Times are different now, can't just look at the numbers, have to look beyond that. Yeah, they are overpriced now, but they are growing and no other company can do what they can do, not yet. I think there is a huge market out there. Karp want's to take all. Good luck to all. 😎✌
