Great footage 👍 Probably the main issue affecting reliability of the 50s was (and still is) that they were prone to generator flashovers, often caused by applying power or shutting off power too quickly
I thought the generator flash overs were caused by poor engine bay husbandry and oil leaks that was a cause of a few fires 50013 Agincourt was a prime example, lack of funds too few for the jobs, time saving etc Very sad for such a beast of a loco. All best R

Yeah, something changed with the 50s when they were transferred to that line - they were beasts on the routes out of Paddington.
