Totally agree! And the timing of this video dropping is amazing! Klay has had nothing by great games since then, helping the Warriors get a 5-game win streak even when Stephen had a bad game. Klay’s whole December has been stellar.
@@davidoccena-wz4lq that’s fine , experience is better than someone young n still learning they shot . We just need him to be a key role player he ain’t gon score the same as before but 20 a night will do n make them big shots fella
I've always had respect for Klay since he tore his ACL in the 2019 finals in the middle of one of his 3rd quarter Klay moments and got up and hit two free throws after he went up there with Kobe and them after that
I want again the man to produce consistency that he is my favorite warrior that is consistent than even Steph before is having a night off performance but Klay always provide. KEEP GOING BROTHER.
He'll never be this guy again so why are warriors fans expecting this? Its a miracle he's back playing at all after almost 3 years out. You have to build around the core 3 with the correct pieces Klay can still be an offensive weapon that gives you decent defence but you need legs around him and some size would help with spacing and defence
Not just fans, haters still want to hold him to this standard and shit on him when he can't perform to that level. Most people would retire after back to back injuries like those he had in their late 20's/early 30s.
Te aka nei bless the klayyy in the hoop area 🙏 🙌🏿 😅 ❤️ ka.pai bless the Thompson family's in life and Rocco and relationships in life OK ▶️ 👍🏾 ka.pai 🎉
I know people talk about bandwagons and stuff but I think it's different when it's like this cuz I live nowhere near Chicago but you don't think I was missing a bulls game in the 90s come on this little 15-18 run was just fun to watch no matter who or where you are so respect to these guys hasn't been fun to watch since.. love the guys in Denver but in my opinion they just spurs 2.0 which is no dig but not fun for me.
Klay got cheated sooo many times. Dude never played a full 4 quarters when he was on fire. Could have had 80 against the Pacers and 20 three pointers vs the Bulls
Miss u klay that Achilles messed my boy up .. he don’t get that lift on his middy or 3 and his movement ain’t as fast on offense or defense .. def top 75 idc
scoring on like that on Kobe FUCKING Bryant is what dreams are made of... The disrespect Klay gets today only because he's injured even after proving himself after those injuries only shows the recency bias of "fans".
Taking two to three dribbles and shooting or shooting left handed doesn’t suffice as having a left. Show the clips of him going the length of the court left handed. How many bad shots and turnovers did he have going left or when they took his right hand away
Back tô back years whith the worst injury a basketball player can have, canʼt have blame him, as a warriors fan i love him forever, but its time to move on, Whether it's trading or benching him
Maybe if he tightened up the fro and shaved the beard, then people might mistake him for “him”. Other than that, Jackie Moon Thompson is lookin washed up.
@@dvdv8197 But he’s not consistent at all. The occasional good game doesn’t make up for the 2-10 and 3-14 games which happen much more often. Plus he usually plays decent when in LA so it’s not like he’s back to the old Klay.
@@jasonvegan5761 yeah we'll have to see indeed 🙂 And basically we CANNOT expect him to be anywhere near 'Old Klay' ever again. Not after his injuries. 😔
Kerr is an idiot for not letting him play in the fourth quarter.. We get that there’s a chance of injury, but that was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.. He would’ve made 80.. Kerr ruined it..
how good is klay thompson? the past season and the current season show that he is not really that good. yes, people say he has injuries, yes, but how much it affects him as an offensive player score primarily from shooting jumpshots?(and he doesnt even need that much lift anyway to shoot his shot) he is a off ball catch and shoot player, speed is not the most important as an off ball guy need to utilize screens and covers and relocation and confusing the defense, rather than pure speed to break through defense and gaps. but his shot selections really confused me, he takes really tough shots and dont make them, like the kind of tough shots kobe take. i think his past success has a lot to do with being in a team with curry and KD and he was a great shooter as a second or third option in a super team at a young age...when there is curry only and no KD, he just cant give the same output and even have very questionable shot selections. i think that is why he was not included in the top 75, yes, he is an elite catch and shoot player, one of the best ever. but he lacks other skills offensively...and the success has a lot to do with team strategy, team members and the era, with total freedom to open fire. im not trying to disrespect him, he is 100% a top 100 players ever, but he is really just good at that one thing and that one thing wont work unless he has the perfect condition: the team, the teammates (we talking about prime curry prime KD kind of teammates), and i think its a real shame he got injuried.
Disagree on the impact of injuries. Those are the worst injuries you can have as a basketball player, they take away quickness, mobility and speed, which means moving around the court is different now. Couple that with aging, younger defenders have much easier time keeping up with him. Plus he's in his head on multiple levels: first of all he can't accept he's not the same player anymore and second he clearly feels he has to prove the world he still is the same player, so he forces a lot more. His shot selection has been much better historically compared with the last couple of years, even before the Warriors got Durant.
yes, but my point is, klay is the kind of player that is least affected by a serious injury. he is not a driver, he doesnt play above the rim, he is not a "traditional" jumpshooter like ray allen, or kobe or jordan which gets a lot of life everytime they shoot the ball. yes, moving without the ball still requires a lot of mobility and speed, but its part of the equation. moving around off ball is an art, and is also a team effort to set screens and provide good passings. and forcing shots is the worst thing he can do right now, didn't we just talk about his injury? and he is trying to pull kobe kind of in your face jumpshot, no wonder the % goes down quick...@@Luca-yb4sh
He’s a legend! With two severe injuries, ones cannot expect him to be the same. But he’s still an amazing NBA player.

It’s crazy that the ACL injury changed Klay’s whole career. He was one of the best Shooting guards in the League at one point.
Thank you for this video. I'm sure Klay secretly watches this every now and then! :)
I didn't know he had this many heat check moments I appreciate his greatness even more
What about Rockets and Thunder last year when he drilled 12 threes each game?
We need him back in this form 🔥
I Definitely Agree With You Dawg

Exactly.
You know ball.

I’m gonna miss Klay, hope he does well on the mavs.
The 2nd best shooter of all time. (In my opinion)
Most 3s in a game and most in a quarter, just crazy, hope he can reach this level back soon
Klay is my favorite player ❤
Klay went nuts against the pacers, but 11 dribbles is cap, I started counting a minute in and got to 20. Which is still crazy
They are talking about dribbles that lead to a score.
@@TonyTheTender it’s still not 11.
Yes it is they are talking about dribbling leading to a score not just dribbling the ball
@ that’s not what they said. They said he scored only dribbling the ball 11 times.
Idgaf what any causal fan says Klay Thompson is still top 3 best shooters in my book.
Steph and Klay are 1 and 2.

The fact that this man has 3hrs of heat checks. Sheesh

Could you do Kobe 2008 playoff run?
It’s a shame that his legs aren’t there anymore. His jumper is much flatter now.
22:35 10 points per dribble, amazing. 😅😂❤❤
The first game Klay got about 20 open lay-ups. I thought one play was on repeat! 👀😂🤣
would have been 2019 finals mvp if he didnt get hurt

Klay really lost his quickness after those 2 leg injuries.
