Thanks for this simple and straightforward instruction. The manuals are just so confusing

You touch on Alkalinity, on a fresh start up on city water with the onzen system should I raise alkalinity if it's low?

Feels like every time I put chemicals into my spa the PH and CL goes all over the place and was all green before.

What product do you use if you want ph to increase?

    What if PH is low?

If the pH is low, I would recommend using a test strip to check the Alkalinity first to make sure that has not dipped, if so, that would need to be adjusted to recommended levels first using "Perfect Balance" which will in turn also bring up the pH with the Alkalinity adjustment.
Once this has been done, you will want to refrain from adjusting the pH levels for a minimum of 48-72 hours to allow the Alkalinity to reach an equilibrium.
After this timeframe, check and adjust the pH, 1 capful at a time to refrain from hitting the Alkalinity too hard.
Typically after 72 hours, the Alkalinity won't get hit too hard from pH adjustments, however too large of adjustments will effect the alkalinity range even after this period.
If the Alkalinity has not dipped, then simply adjust with "Adjust Up", or if it is only one dot below "OK" range on the SpaBoy app, that is fine and will come back up as the cell produces chlorine.
