Facile examples, I would have thought. Turnover, our best performers are leaving and our poor performers are staying. let's not focus on why our best are leaving; let's focus on why our worst are staying. A surefire recipe for success!

Ai is some bizarre ideas none which are in any way scientific or logical. Arbitrary ideas and when evidence is asked for they just waft off into testimonials, vague generalizations and platitudes just like politicians. AI is more fitting as a cult.

Thank you Prof John for a very clear explanation about AI. I learned a lot from what you have explained.

    Some questions, John:
Who is A.I. designed to benefit within a business or organization?
Why are the advocates for A.I. almost exclusively business executives, management teams and CEOs?
How do justice, ethics and fair play fit into A.I.?
If change is bad, wrong or destructive should we fight against it?

What if management use this as a tool to sweep their own transgressions under the carpet?--such as ruthless treatment of employees. It strikes me as tactic to implement change without protest from employees or else they'll be branded as "emphasizing the negative". What a way to suppress resistance.
What I'd like to know is--where do the concepts of justice and fair play fit into Appreciative Inquiry?
