By the way, Super, if you end up reading this comment, you can D2 Black Manta out of all of his float cancels. Your first opponent was getting very repetitive with B22~Float, you can D2 after his B22.

I feel Black Manta's eye lasers do too much chip; I counted about 70 on several occasions, that melted Super's health on the last game of the set.
That's Manta's playstyle. He's a chip character with long ranged normals. Like Aquaman. He doesn't have any other crazy methods of opening up his opponent.
|Renegade| but he has good mix ups, does he not? I don't own the DLCs, so I don't know the combo names, but he has a low kick into over head, doesn't he?
He does have one Low Overhead string, B22. But a mixup is supposed to make your opponent guess if something else is coming. Black Manta has no way of changing this Low Overhead, meaning it'll be the same Low Overhead every time, which is not a mixup. He does have a float cancel mixup, but this mixup doesn't really give him a lot of uses either. If you just block Overhead against Black Manta, and watch out for his B2, you'll be just fine. The main way he's going to damage you is through his Eye Lasers, and outspacing you in the neutral.

lCardool23FGC He still does the same shit, He just has an extended b3 and a trait charge. Not much more to explore with it besides maybe a half screen anti air with his B3
Trill and his trait activation has like 15 less recovery frames, which means you can now get combos off of a d2 into trait and activate trait after a MB Trap and still get a b3, meaning that he does much more damage. Besides that, there are setups that can and will be found involving his trait recharge, cause rn, all FS players are doing is a MB Trap into recharge for just a bit of the trait reloaded. And with his extended b3, it means that now range-specific combos are much easier or possible now, since the extension doesn't slow down the b3

Ever since he got buffed he’s been my main
I'm a firestorm main and I can honestly say that Firestorm really didn't get buff like I would have thought his molten trap MB is actually worse now that enemies can break free faster and I really don't use the charge trait super move that much and I know his trait take a shorter time to become lvl 3 but also the time in lvl 3 is shorter. What I would have like if they made is MB molten trap -9 or -10 on block and not this -15 or even give him a little more push block on his Fusion Charge this is just my opinion. I still love 🔥BBQ🔥 ppl with him.

I'm sorry, but you want his Molten Trap to be safer? Every character in the game with full screen checks like Firestorm all have very large amounts of negative blockstun (Atrocitus, Aquaman, Poison Ivy, Wonder Woman). Making his Molten Trap safer would make the character even more stupid, because it's hard enough to close the gap against Firestorm as it is. And making the pushback on his Fusion Charge greater would not only limit the amount of characters that can punish his wakeup, but it would give him a safe meterless wakeup in some matchups. Considering you can charge trait at the end of your combos, you can hit level 3 within one round. Level three trait gives him access to a vortex that can wipe your opponents health off of one wrong guess, and it allows him access to launching 50/50s. He becomes more dangerous than an MKX character when level 3 is active. I think they made a grave mistake buffing this character.
|Renegade| I was talking about his Meterburned molten trap like what you mentioned with about Wonder Woman as her Meterburned shield toss is alot less punishable than the regular shield toss also Poison Ivy Meterburned Vine drill is alot safer than than the meterless version and you can't compare it to Aquaman or Flame breath because both require you to hit your opponent to do the MB version. You also said that Firestorm can charge his trait out of his combos and the only way I can someone doing this is if you caught them in the MB molten trap anywhere else will leave you open to being punish like with his armor super move and he always had the vortex which now is shorter because his active lvl3 trait is shorter. I was talking about his Fusion charge to be more like joker new wake up or SwampThings where is still punishable but only with the right moves
I didn't realise you meant the MB version. That makes more sense. And if you do one of his Hard Knockdowns, you can charge trait for free. So in theory if you landed MB Molten trap, charge trait, do a hard knockdown string and charge trait again, you're looking at almost all of your trait at the sacrifice of one combo. I still disagree about Fusion Charge. With all the strengths that Firestorm has, having a wakeup that's more difficult to punish just seems like it's too much.

I find it hilarious that Black Manta's gameplan is very similar to Aquaman's in the sense that he gets a lot of good chip damage and has to abuse his long ranged normals. And nobody complains about Black Manta. Is it just because he looks cool? I really don't understand.

That's the ranking system in Injustice 2 for ya. Looks like Super gets pretty even matches when he plays ranked. And I think Super could get really good if he stuck to just one character and leveled up with him, honestly.
