Jotaro getting heavily injured seems like a bummer at first, but seeing him not only stand with all those injuries, but have enough power to do an attack rush is one of the most hype moments in Diamond is Unbreakable for me.

I think it kind of shows how different a villain Kira is from from guys like Dio, since his goals and Stand powers center around avoiding attention, cleaning up evidence of his actions and dealing with potential threats at a distance. So in the right circumstances he's nearly able to take out Jotaro without even seeing him, but as soon as he's within Star Platinum's range he's completely unprepared for a direct confrontation and gets completely wrecked even when Jotaro is at death's door.
@@tacoman422 im sorry, but even without being within his range, kira would never be able to beat jotaro. jotaro is like top 3 most powerful characters in jjba, and the only reason jotaro got bombed was because of koichi's dumbass. theres a reason why kira started hiding in fear and would tremble everytime the name "jotaro was mentioned" and dont forget, kira admitted creating Bites The Dust bc of jotaro.

I love how in part 4 they foreshadow some “important” characters in those scenes with alot of people
it amazes me how many things i miss, the fact that you can see kira, and so many future characters in the background so often is so cool.

In this episode you can see that Jotaro matures from a teenager who would go raging as soon an enemy appears, to an adult who is more observant and attentive, not trying to assume that the enemy is beatable easily, so that he would know what the enemy is actually capable of, not just based from assumption
To be fair, he was already very observant in part 3. He didn't really "go raging" when an enemy appeared. I remember these guys kept mentioning how Jotaro would wait and be patient during part 3.

Kira's description of Star Platinum makes me think that it actually low-key stops time between its punch rushes which is why it appears to be very fast.
Well he did heard Koichi about him stopping time before he ran out from the shop. But I don't think Jotaro is able to spam time stop like DIO does
@@abe-kun Jotaro can use Star Platinum to stop time at will. But what I'm saying is while to Jotaro and everyone else's perspective, Star Platinum just punches really fast. But in reality, it "low-key" stops time for fractions of seconds during its punches. Jotaro himself might not be even aware of it.

Ah, never forget that even if the joestar has so many holes in him you can the the other side through him, even if his heart stop beating, or has been stabbed 12 times, a joestar will not go down without a good fight! It's one of the best meta things in jojos. No matter what opponent is put against a jojo, you know that the jojo is gonna give them a run for their money, even if their power was to stop time. Yoshikage Kira's Stands secondary bomb 'Sheer Heart Attack' is named after the song from the British rock band Queen.
In the Sheer Heart Attack (story arc), Josuke is seen reading a book with the name Gianfranco Ferré on the cover.
The fact that the stand Echoes has three acts is a reference to how the song Echoes has three acts.
In Episode 24 of the TV Anime, in the final shot where Kira escapes, an advertisement for Austin Powers 2 can be seen on the cinema marquee.
The story outline of Diamond is Unbreakable takes inspiration from the David Lynch television series Twin Peaks. Both series are supernatural thrillers that are set around the search for a psychopath that has caused the death of a teenage girl in a small town with odd characters. The characters of Jotaro, Reimi Sugimoto and Yoshikage Kira play similar roles to that of Dale Cooper, Laura Palmer and Killer Bob (With both Bob and Kira hiding in the guise of another person).

Now that we got Echoes act 3, now I can says what each of the Acts for Koichis Echoes symbolises!
Act 1 is the sound of your words
Act 2 is the meaning of your words
Act 3 is the weight behind your words
Also sometimes people forget but Koichi can swap between his 3 acts anytime he wants still, so it's not like his stand upgrades and he loses the power to use sound effects or vibrations/Echoes on things whenever his stand upgrades ^_^
Btw just like episode one of Diamond is Unbreakable, when Kira escapes into the crowd you can actually see some more people who have unique designs... and I hint that you may see in the future of this part.
Also you can see Kira escaping into the crowd, though he looks different then before so it's practically impossible to spot him unless you know what he already looks like. The best way I can describe where he is in the scene, is that when the camera is panning left through the crowd members, he is under the Sports Shop sign, directly with the white suit ^_^. Only saying this cuz im pretty sure you guys are already on the next batch of episodes :).

The panic these episodes put me through when I first watched them was insane lol. This fight has so many great character moments from Koichi getting his power up to Jotaro managing to beat the shit out of Kira while heavily wounded. One thing I love is that the logical thing for Kira to do would've been to kill Koichi as soon as he got there but this man is a serial killer nothing about the way he thinks is going to be entirely logical and normal. So he proceeds to beat Koichi to release some of his anger and before dealing the finishing blow he fixes his inside out sock because it annoyed him. This same guy came up with the genius plan to go to Aya and get her to help him assume a new identity so he can escape and go back to his quiet life. I love the way Kira is written. Also my god you guys are so perceptive y'all are really out here noticing stuff it took me multiple rewatches to find wow.
19:50 we actually did see Okuyasu in a tank top before. In episode 10 when Tonio heals Okuyasus shoulder, he takes off his uniform and we see him in the tank top.

I never realized THOSE guys are in the crowd. In the first episode they also showed some future characters in the crowd, at least their silhouettes were visible.
I know you're way further ahead so you might know this by now, but killer queen can only have 1 first bomb, if it touches something and makes it a bomb then it can't make anymore until that one exploded or disarmed

Also 27:10 is my favorite Jotaro beatdown because I watched Part 3 first then backtracked to 1 and 2. After so long, this was the most hype beatdown for me. And also the fact that ten years later, Jotaro was angered enough that he had that Part 3 attitude that i missed from him this part
I, Jotaro Kujo, am labeled a punk. I tend to overdo it with my opponents in fights, so much that some are still in the hospital. There was one idiot teacher who was all talk, so I taught him a lesson and he hasn't came back to school. At restaurants that served me lousy food, I leave without paying the bill all the time. But... even I know nauseating evil when I see it. Evil is when you use the weak for your own gain, and crush them under your foot. Especially a woman! That is exactly what you've done, huh? Your Stand isn't visible to the victim or the law. Therefore, I shall judge you!

Episode 24 is a really good example of what shows Jotaro's potential vulnerabilities; In the anime, Koichi got slammed through the chest, Kira began to talk about how time was running out, AND had the gall to say "Muda" (or Useless in most TLs) while Jotaro was down.
A lot of people speculate that Jotaro himself suffers from PTSD, or Survivors Guilt from the events of Stardust Crusaders, and it shows here. Most also believe that he doesn't use The World because it reminds him too much of DIO (besides the fact that Star Platinum: The World is already hard enough to use due to what it does with the heart).
Jotaro is my favorite Joestar because of the subtle character development he goes throughout the parts; he's a lot more mature, rational and calmer in Part 4, and it shows his development off in these two episodes as a whole.

@@yolkthosenuts Star Platinum: The World, stops the heart temporarily and causes some damage to it - DIO was able to circumvent this because he’s a vampire, but Jotaro can’t due to the much because he’s a human, and he can’t recover as fast.
Also apparently the blood stops too, but apparently it’s all in the manga and not mentioned in the anime.

It would make more sense if he said something like “I’ll get you some help” or “I’ll help you”
If somebody walked up to you when you had a bunch of broken bones and said "oh don't worry I'll heal ya right up buddy" you wouldn't believe them and you wouldn't beg them to "hurry" to stop the pain
Once again I knpw you probably wayyy further ahead now, but that scene with the people you mentioned might possibly be similar to that scene that showed keicho, rohan and some other villains in episode 1

I don't know if you caught that, so I'm gonna explain. Sheer Heart Attack is a part of Killer Queen, more specifically it's hidden in its left hand, thus why Kira had that dent while 3-Freeze was active

Okuyasu actually showed some brain using The Hand to protect them of Aya's explosion
Stands which have personalities independent of their user embody their subconscious thought. Act 3 can talk and must be ordered by Koichi because he sees himself as too weak to possess such a power.
This is also why they tend to be more foul-mouthed, as they say things which the user is too nice/polite to say.
If koichi was "observant"and calm he could've approached the killer and weighed him down more (like his stand says) while risking himself in the process

Funfact:
Star Platinum being weaker in part 4 makes sense. Why? Jotaro got his Scan from the Family connection with Dio in Jonathan's body. Since Dio died this would explain why star Platinum can't stop time this long anymore.

I'd like to share some details about the reveal of Echoes Act 3. Very sorry for being absent for so long. I have not been well, and it takes a lot out of me comment these.
But regardless, Echoes Act 3.
There are three acts in the song: Echoes, by Pink Floyd. Allow me to tell you the timestamp where you should start listening to read along with the lyrics.
Start listening at around 17:55 minutes into the song on youtube.

For a little while you will hear the buildup to this final act of the song. Understanding the possibilities of inspiration Araki took from this song. Its powerful, and strong enough to get the point across that this is Koichi's last evolution. His character arc ends here, effectively.

These lyrics can easily be understood in comparison to Koichi's final stand.
He's rising against the greatest threat to his life, and his hometown.

Koichi ends this confrontation furious, and for good reason. The killer got away, and as you can hear the instrumental after this lyric is pressing onward for a while until the song fades away.
Koichi is not done yet, and he is definitely not done with Kira.
Reading the manga as I went over this song to observe the musical inspiration for Koichi's character arc, I felt chills.
Koichi's character development isn't complicated or outlandish, but it is solid and effective in showcasing the growth of someone with ample courage.

In the manga, Aya Tsuji was introduced after the episode "Kira Yoshikage wants a quiet life" (for example, she wasn't in the stand users meeting after Shigechi died) however in the anime they introduced her one episode before "Kira Yoshigake wants a quiet life Part 1 and 2". They probably did this because she dies really early after being introduced, so they decided to introduce her a bit early to create a bit more impact in her death
