I tried this strategy with the indicator for 10 days between June 1 and 10, 2022. I have an r/r of 1/1.5 and I was able to take 46 trades on ETHUSDTP on binance. during these 10 days. I started with $1000 and I am now at $958, a loss of 4.2%, the strategy is currently losing. I will continue to use it until the end of the month and will do an update but I do not see a pnl of 200% possible

I noticed when you are setting your SL you said place it at the recent swing low, but when I'm watching you back test I can see that you are setting that stop lose much lower (or higher if its a short) then the recent swing low, giving the trade much more breathing room... what's the dealio haha?
To go along with this, I'd love to see some videos just on money management, how to determine when the market is ranging and when its on a run. Those require very different mgmt approaches, which should be embedded in the process.

You can improve on this by trading only during higher volatility/trending markets. You can gauge that using different methods. Doing so would allow you to avoid losses during consolidation periods.

@@Latelysw If there is sufficient volatility, then it may not matter. The answer might depend on your trading style and preferences etc.. For me, I find that trading indices during the same, 1-hour window is the best way. I trade only during the time of the most volatility. I do not trade outside of this time block. So, for me, indicators are very reliable during that period. Using this approach along with using higher time-frames to gauge market direction is very effective. You should be able to easily recognize if/when the market is trending. If not, you can use various indicators to determine whether or not the market is trending and/or if the volatility is good etc..

It's is not money management strategy if you also change strategy entry rules and tweak indicators.
Should be done on same setups.
And even then it would tell you little because market volatility is not constant.
Best advice from this video is use higher R:R if you are catching reversals than continuations...
Yep, I'm kind of disappointed also. Didn't learn anything. I've found that supersmoothing W%R and using changes in Rateofchange is a great way to exit trades. In a lot of cases this exit can dramatically change improve the robustness of the strategy.

how did you get 100 trade in 21 days in second try compared to 28 days in first try while the entering conditions are the same?
1.5 ratio ends faster than 1:2 obviously, and that creates more entry points. entry points pops up even though you didn't hit your first trade yet. I'm not good at explaining but you can see it if you backtest it yourself
Please make a strategy with "Optimized Trend Tracker Oscillator (OTTO) by KivancOzbilgic" and backtest it on the Crypto 15-minute timeframe. This indicator looks really promising and profitable. Its false signals can easily be filtered with any volatility-based indicator. Looking forward to seeing the results.

I’m a dividend investor, my husband and I have invested in the s&p500, both through my TSP with the government and through fidelity in his 401-k. Cashed out 370k from the S&P and invested with a full service broker.. Until about 3years ago we were 100% in the s&p after over 30 years. I’m retiring at the end of the month at 54, while my husband will retire next year at 59. We currently have 3.7 million in out tex deferred savings.

What strategy would you recommend for day trading options? So the entry signals would have to avoid consolidating periods to avoid time decay on the premiums. Something is wrong with the second back test and first back test..... I don't know if you back tested on different market pairs. but if was on Same pair why was results found in different time range. One was 1 mont while the other was 3 weeks
This is because if the TP is lower. Then the Low TP trade has the potential to close faster than a High TP trade. Therefore more of the chart would be opened up for making even more trades.
