Regardless of the party I was and still support, I would be most disappointed if indeed there was an attempt by senior government officials to influence the announcement of the presidential election in favor of a given candidate. That would be totally against my principles. However, should it turn out that the allegations are false, the alleging party should be held to account for attempting to drag the senior government officials into a political dual that they are otherwise expected to show neutrality.
Rafael Tuju was supposed to work with the commission since he knew the commissioners well. Unfortunately he was not granted access to them and therefore the chief of staff called the chairman that he has to meet with Tuju and the senior officers and the former attorney general. In his wisdom he asked for all commissioners to be present.
Thereafter the hell broke loose. Four commissioners are shipped to a hotel and there is chaos in Bomas. Imagine how threaten the chairperson of the commission felt at that point and yet he had the whole country waiting on him
