Cool video thank you I wear klim gear and owe my life to the klim Latitude jacket. Got hit by 182 lbs 10 pointer ended up with 12 broken ribs got air lifted er doctor's told I would not made it without it. Yes klim replaced my jacket free.all the gear all the time. Cheers to ya.
Great system and review! I invested in quality budget friendly gear when I first started riding 4 years ago, and has been great, but think it's time now for some upgrades. Thanks for the advice and considerations. Cheers and keep well!
Awesome vod, thanks. The next time you do a vavle adjustment could I request a in depth how you do it? Also maybe a talk about your recommended intervals. I read the manual and have read reviews and other howto's but I like your take and your experiences. I know there is not a ton to it and I am positive I could figure it out but there is just something about watching and learning from people that have done it a time or two and find small or sometimes large tips tricks found along the way. Thanks again Mason. Riding season full force here in Oklahoma haha.
Ah, great informative video again, Mason. Thank you. Like you (were), I’m still in the buildup phase of my gear system. It works for now but have hopeful plans of upgrading as I move along. Next on my list and that’s missing is a ‘base layer’. For now, it’s been shorts and a T shirt. I’ve moved to a wicking T but as you said, going to a long legging AND long sleeve would be best. Like a sleeping bed liner, I think it would help keep your main gear (jackets/pants or sleeping bag) that much cleaner. Great stuff as always Mason ! 👍🏽
This is great information. I changed up my base layer strategy last year for a big trip and it made a world of difference. I used to get so much chafing before I switched to workout shorts and a t-shirt. Great idea on using the gortext outer shell for the mesh jacket. Cheers from PEI.
Every once in awhile you make mention of your zx12. You’re going to have to give us a glimpse or post a pic of it ! Along with my KLR, I have a ‘13 N1K. Great line of bikes !
Man thank you for this video!! I live in Barrie Ontario and I'm leaving on one crazy adventure in a few weeks. This video changed my mind from thinking I needed a full seperate rain layer to maybe just a jacket. Also your pack-out video of the Reckless 80 confirmed my decision to spring for that luggage system. Big thanks for all the knowledge!! Cheers, Andy
Thank's Masons......I was wondering how you wear this heavy clothes for long time.....every time I wear all my riding gear I feel I am wearing suit's diving under water 💧 😀.....thanks again for your valuable advice 👍 .
Great video helped me out so much on deciding what I need for riding gear as I just purchased a 2022 klr 650 this past weekend looking forward to watching more of your video 👍
You seemed to infer that you changed from stock Pants Armor to an alternative, but you didn't realy explain about that item. Can you go into more detail there?
How hot do you think the mesh an under armor combo is comfortable to. Seems like it would be a bit much in 95°f but might be deceptively good keeping the sun off your arms
It’s the little stuff that makes the difference , but laying is the game changer for sure !!! Thanks Mason
Happy Father's Day. Great system and information. I kinda do the same with Fly Racing Gear and Frog Toggs rain wear.
Cool video thank you

Great video Mason, always love to see what gear you're using.

Any cleaning and washing tips on your riding wear. I'm always a bit concerned about the best way to wash my gear.
On your rain jacket, how do you work the hood with the helmet? Keeping rain from going down your neck and back. Thanks.

Simple and easy gear nothing over the top
