You know even though this sounds like bs... I have panic attacks and me being chill about being sick and in pain really is the best way to deal with it for me. I will never fault someone for reacting strongly to pain, but there really is something to be said about mind over matter.
I have tattoos on my ribs, I have different piercings, but personally for me my nipples were the worst pain I've ever experienced in my whole life, I cannot even describe the scorching heat, the pain, the shakes that I experience, it felt like a stabbing wound literally, I've never experienced anything similar to that severity in my life. I was shaking and sweating trying to psych myself to do the second one.
Yeah I have a rib tattoo and also piercings all over but I had to take them out for JROTC class but I had my tongue pierced, industrial, and double helix done. They all closed up sadly but I got to keep my bellybutton and nose bc I got those piercings a lot time ago before I join it.
This was my experience. I went outside and threw up after. I thought it would be best to not wear a bra for some dumb reason and my seat belt caught one when I got into the car and I threw up again. They hurt for 6 months straight. 6 years later, I still have them in and I need a breast reduction but I haven't gotten one because I'm scared the holes will close while I'm in surgery lol.

What we're after some time I realized that one of the nipples was pierced not in the straight line so I repierced it. Was not fun, hurt as much, but the piercer was very gentle. I know a girl who repierced her after pregnancy. Maybe yours will be fine for a month and only the outer layers would have the time to close, while the canal needs more time. Get that surgery!
I only got one done, but had I planned to do both I would have backed out after the first one. The pain was insane. I cussed my piercer out, and then I went straight home and fell asleep on the couch. I couldn't even look at it for hours because I was so traumatized lmao. Totally worth it though

This just made me think of a story I saw from a piercer where they said they had one client come in to get their tatas pierced and was anxious. After the first one she said she wanted to take a break so she can make herself anxious again to have the adrenaline going for the second one. This woman walked out and made herself anxious to walk back in and say "Ok go"
From my experience: My first time getting my nips pierced was not that bad in the moment, it was the aftermath that hurt the worst. But the second time getting them pierced… yeah I for sure felt that. That scar tissue wanted revenge.

@@mac.chalamet well that’s a good question, for some it is a way to keep your nipples in a more erect position so that they look more mature. Some woman have a issue with that. Especially if you have smaller breasts. Or even larger than normal breasts. Builds confidence. Or if you have breast fed children it can permanently deform them, so rounded nipple piercings can help them look less “droopy”.

If you look up what a actual nipple piercing itself looks like they are a larger and longer than a normal piercing. When you go and get the nipple piercing they use a needle that is hallowed. The bar of the piercing will push that outer skin out and create a more erect position. So it is absolutely not just earrings you put on your nipples.

Thiis woman has implants. After having implants, you can actually lose sensitivity in your breasts and/or nipples. So may be a factor of why there wasn't any or much pain. Also, if you do lack sensitivity, nipple piercings can increase sensitivity.
I asked friends about nipple piercing pain and they all said it was completely fine. So I went in semi confident but ready for some pain still. My SOUL left my body for the 1st one, I was in shock for 10 min because the pain was insane. Second one hurt too but wow I've never imagined pain to be so overwhelming (and I have chronic pain and fall asleep during tattoos)

My nipples and the conch were the WORST for me! Had to take my rings out after a year and I never plan to do them again! Luckily the conch healed up good and it doesn’t hurt at all 🙌🏼

why would you have gotten an infection? id assume she cleaned the needle. using a needle is actually the proper way to pierce, maybe you would’ve gotten an infection if it was a gun.
It's so weird how we all react to pain differently, I have tattoos that people warned were going to hurt a lot and I felt almost nothing, the piercing that hurt you was completely painless for me yet I just KNOW that I'm too sensitive for the belly button for example. It already ridiculously hurts if I scratch it the wrong way

Technically you kinda did… an entrance “wound” and an exit “wound” for each piercing is basically two piercings, even if you only put one bar through it. You still got 4 holes in your nipnops! 🤣

The nipple piercing itself isn’t as painful as the actual healing!! A nightmare, and they take nearly a year. Tip from me to you: be careful when you wrap yourself around a towel… you don’t want any loose fibers getting stuck to your ring 😭😭
Be careful! You ideally want to space out your piercings because your body has a harder time healing more wounds at one time❤️❤️ they look gorgeous tho and I hope you have a smooth healing process
Also depends on location. Some piercings are in sweatier or dirtier parts of the body. Like any nose, belly button, southern private area, piercings are in dirtier areas than like eyebrow, and lip.
The pain I felt only happened the next day. And lasted about 9 months! Felt like someone punched me in my boobs every morning!! Couldn’t sleep on my chest for like a year for fear they’d get infected. But years later, no regrets 💪🏽
It’s literally LIFE CHANGING! Piercing your clitoral hood is really helpful in achieving orgasms. When I first got it, I used to have to be really careful because if it rubbed in the wrong (right?) way I’d orgasm. You can develop some desensitization though as time goes on. Best piercing EVER!
Funny story. Four years ago I decided I wanted lots of earings but my mum wouldn't let me get them done. So I got a safety pin and poked at least twenty holes in my ears and shoved earings in them. Definitely one of the worst pain I've ever experienced. But I still have every hole, nothing got infected and you would never guess that twelve years old me pierced all of them myself. At least now my mum let's me get any piercing I want. Hehe score.
My nipples were also pretty painless! Also got my boobs tattooed, and that was barely anything as well. My cartilage was my worst piercing pain wise personally😂

I have 10 piercings and 9 tattoos including a large back piece, my chest, my hips, hands and wrists and my foot. I thought the tat on my foot was the worst pain in the world. Then i got a tooth infection that caused an abscess in my gum and believed that was the worst pain imaginable. But then i got my tatas done. Absolute worst thing ive ever experienced and it genuinely was something i will never forget. I felt like i got stabbed soooo slowly with a rough blunt metal sanding stick right through my nips, my boobs and into my nerves in my spine. It was truthfully the worst thing ive ever felt and ive broke bones too. I cant explain the pain but honestly it was the absolute worst thing i can imagine. It was horrific. It was so bad i immediately went to break down in tears and my eyes wouldn't even cry. It was absolutely unbelievable. I have not had a piercing since and i always wanted more. I cannot believe the pain. I even had an infection in my tongue when i pierced that which made my tongue so thick and sore i couldnt eat solids for 3 weeks or have anything fridge-cold or warmed up, only room temperature and it couldn't touch my tongue. I had to til ny head back and to the side and use the small small to put watery mash, thich gravy, or curry sauce into my cheek without touching my tongue and then suck it back. It lasted over 3 weeks, but it was 3 before i could eat 'solids' like fish cake, normal consistncy mash, mushy peas etc. I had the staff in the piercing shop saying they had never seen anything like it. The bar i had was so longnit dented the roof of my mouth AND the bottom gum under my tongue and stick dented my tongue both sides as it was too tight. Id rather pierce my tongue 4 times over and break my arm again and get an infection in every tooth and get tattos from head to toe than pierce my nips again. Absolutely diabolical
for me there’s certain times in my cycle where my nipples are the most sensitive and then the least sensitive. usually after or on my period, or after ovulation my nipples just have not sensation to them sometimes.
A lot of the time for nip piercings, the adrenaline kinda makes the pain not there. It’s odd, but the reason that the second one usually hurts more is bc there’s less adrenaline, meaning the pain is more there than it was the first time

Something I noticed is the pain is different on a different day of the month. So maybe there is some hormone correlation. For anyone wanting piercing on that particular place maybe check the month before and choose your less painful day.
i was surprised how painless the piercing is, but it's what came after i wasnt prepared for, for a few days i was convinced it was infected, it was always itchy, hot and sore, and flakes of skin were popping up. I thought i was dying, but its alright, probably would pierce my nose, mouth if i experience an existential crises, but definitely more ear piercings cause they look really nice.
I have 3 piercings on my left ear (used to be 5 until one got swollen and my cartilage was severely messed up) and 5 on my right ear, and my belly button. One tattoo on my ankle, one on both biceps, 3 tattoos on my forearms (one near my wrist) (technically 4 because one is a cover up). My most PAINFUL piecing/tattoo has definitely gotta be my cartilage and the one near my wrist but only because my tattoo artist was a dick and wouldn’t let me have a break and I was bleeding also.. definitely all depends on your pain tolerance, sensitivity, and how heavy handed your tattoo artist is. To anybody wanting a tattoo but too scared, I recommend starting off with a part of your body that has a lot of meat (bicep, ankle, forearm), for piercings I recommend lobe and working your way up

I have some seriously small boobs.. my nipples look best hard.. therefore nipple rings give me confidence and reduce how self conscious I feel around bigger breasted women.. they also make it so wearing a bra is less of a requirement to keep the nips in check..
The more you get, the worse they’ll start to hurt btw. You lose adrenaline after every one because your body is realizing its ok basically. That’s why theoretically when you get your tata’s pierced, the “second one hurts worse” and that IS true for most people :) that could be why your ear hurt the worst because you have a super high pain tolerance!!❤️
You're actually wrong about adrenaline release becoming less and less. The chemicals released in the brain are mainly endorphins and adrenaline while being pierced but you will always experience the release of those chemicals as it's a response to pain or stress. The body doesn't realize it's okay the body feels pain and sends immediate reactive signals, all part of the CNS.

i have 15 piercings! from what i remember i’ll rank them from highest pain to lowest: upper ear lobe: 1/10 lower earlobe: 1/10 highest earlobe: 2/10 belly button: 3/10 tongue: 4/10 snake bites 5/10 septum: 6/10 cartilage: 7/10 bridge: 8/10
I have my belly done and my tongue. My tongue didn’t hurt (I have a high pain tolerance) but the after wards when your tongue swells, it hurts really feckin bad. Any flex you movement hurts horribly. It’s good after about a week.
Things like this really depends case by case. One person could have high tolerance on certain body parts while others don’t. It could be the piercer’s or tatt artist’s technique and skills. It could be by random chance they didn’t struck a nerve while piercing. So don’t really put too much thought on whether how bad it’ll hurt bc it affects everyone differently 😅
High pain tolerance be like And when people ask “how much did this piercing/mod hurt” & the only thing you can say is “everyones’ tolerance is bound to be different😐” But for some reason, getting pierced by other people always leads to me having to close my piercings due to some sort of issue or infections getting out of hand? So as a result, I’ve been doing my own since before I was a teen. Wouldn’t advocate for it though, I just knew what I was doing. But no fr I even be piercing myself just for the heck of it now. Probably did my labret 5x within 2 weeks back in college. Kept taking it out bc it didn’t fit my “style for the day”😅. I just wanna thank my family for having good genes(fast regeneration & no scarring). Just got my tongue split a month ago. Lots of blood & appetite loss during the first couple hours of healing but that had to be one of the easiest things I’ve ever gone through😂

here’s the thing. i can almost guarantee that where i was in my cycle and how INSANELY COLD it was in my piercers space ? made them hurt as bad as they did. my tata’s were extra tender and we know what cold does to the girls hehe. but i would still do it a million times over cause i LOOOVE mine and trust my piercer with my actual life. BUT !! that doesn’t mean that someone else could have a completely different experience !! i 10000% believe that my circumstances caused the majority of the pain. some advice i can give is that if you want them ? make sure you do your research and PLEASE go to someone you trust fully. and enjoy the new piercings ;)
Gingers have higher pain tolerances than others! We also have a higher tolerance for pain medication. The science behind it is still catching up but it's a common enough phenomenon that it is being studied! Maybe it's our lack of soul 🤷♀️ (beat y'all to the joke lol)
just high pain tolerance. i have it aswell, didn’t realise till i got my first piercing, which was my septum. i hadn’t even realised it had been pierced, the clamp holding my nose was more painful than the needle. my sister got hers done aswell right after me (she had like 20 other piercings), she started sobbing right after and said it was the worst she had ever gotten.
Got ears pierced when I was small(female tradition in family), felt nothing. We did both at same time. I was so surprised because I was about to burst into tears, I really expected to be screaming, but I felt nothing. The raging infection that lasted the next year? Not my favorite, but not as bad(but close) to the braces I got around same time(and even then, worst part was getting fit for a retainer)
My nipple piercings pain were a 4/10, not as bad as I expected but definitely felt it! It kinda felt like a thick needle forcing its way through a thick piece of leather
guys some people also just don’t have feeling / sensations in their nipples. i went with my friend to get hers done and she felt no pain as well. the guy doing her peircing was shocked and asked her if she even had sensations there. she thought about it and said that she never remembered feeling them 🤷🏾♀️
I honestly think it depends on how sensitive your nipples are. Mine personally are VERY sensitive, so when I got them done THE SECOND nipple?! PAIN. The first was mostly a shock so I don't remember the feeling. But the second one felt like it was taking 10mins to go through. And yes it does make it more sensitive to touch.
im someone who can tolerate a lot of pain, especially since my first tattoo i’ve ever got was on my neck and the pain was 1/10 so i believe i can handle anything. but the thought of getting nipple piercings… i just know that pain will be so excruciating 😭
I’m a trans guy/ non-binary person and I got top surgery almost two years ago and a couple months ago I finally got the nipple piercings I wanted and since my nipples are still numb from surgery I didn’t feel a thing and it just felt weird in general but I feel so confident and sexy now haha
i feel like "tolerance" is not the right word to use lol some people just have more nerves in certain parts of their body. the nipple area can be extremely sensitive to some and truly numb to others. so if you are a sensitive girly, brace yourself for some pain regardless of how high your pain tolerance is.
Okay tell me, my friend got her second piercing a year ago and she won't take it out since it feels like she's getting her ears pierced. Its worth it girl, your not gonna wear the same earring for the rest of your life.
Part of the second one hurting more is because their adrenaline is high anticipating the pain of the first one, when it's not as bad (cause of the adrenaline) their not as panicked for the second one so their adrenaline isn't as high making it hurt more

Thiis woman has implants. After having implants, you can actually lose sensitivity in your breasts and/or nipples. So may be a factor of why there wasn't any or much pain. Also, if you do lack sensitivity, nipple piercings can increase sensitivity.
I asked friends about nipple piercing pain and they all said it was completely fine. So I went in semi confident but ready for some pain still. My SOUL left my body for the 1st one, I was in shock for 10 min because the pain was insane. Second one hurt too but wow I've never imagined pain to be so overwhelming (and I have chronic pain and fall asleep during tattoos)

My nipples and the conch were the WORST for me! Had to take my rings out after a year and I never plan to do them again! Luckily the conch healed up good and it doesn’t hurt at all 🙌🏼

It's so weird how we all react to pain differently, I have tattoos that people warned were going to hurt a lot and I felt almost nothing, the piercing that hurt you was completely painless for me yet I just KNOW that I'm too sensitive for the belly button for example. It already ridiculously hurts if I scratch it the wrong way

The nipple piercing itself isn’t as painful as the actual healing!! A nightmare, and they take nearly a year. Tip from me to you: be careful when you wrap yourself around a towel… you don’t want any loose fibers getting stuck to your ring 😭😭

It’s literally LIFE CHANGING! Piercing your clitoral hood is really helpful in achieving orgasms. When I first got it, I used to have to be really careful because if it rubbed in the wrong (right?) way I’d orgasm. You can develop some desensitization though as time goes on. Best piercing EVER!
Funny story. Four years ago I decided I wanted lots of earings but my mum wouldn't let me get them done. So I got a safety pin and poked at least twenty holes in my ears and shoved earings in them. Definitely one of the worst pain I've ever experienced. But I still have every hole, nothing got infected and you would never guess that twelve years old me pierced all of them myself. At least now my mum let's me get any piercing I want. Hehe score.

I have 10 piercings and 9 tattoos including a large back piece, my chest, my hips, hands and wrists and my foot.
I thought the tat on my foot was the worst pain in the world. Then i got a tooth infection that caused an abscess in my gum and believed that was the worst pain imaginable. But then i got my tatas done. Absolute worst thing ive ever experienced and it genuinely was something i will never forget. I felt like i got stabbed soooo slowly with a rough blunt metal sanding stick right through my nips, my boobs and into my nerves in my spine. It was truthfully the worst thing ive ever felt and ive broke bones too. I cant explain the pain but honestly it was the absolute worst thing i can imagine. It was horrific. It was so bad i immediately went to break down in tears and my eyes wouldn't even cry. It was absolutely unbelievable. I have not had a piercing since and i always wanted more. I cannot believe the pain. I even had an infection in my tongue when i pierced that which made my tongue so thick and sore i couldnt eat solids for 3 weeks or have anything fridge-cold or warmed up, only room temperature and it couldn't touch my tongue. I had to til ny head back and to the side and use the small small to put watery mash, thich gravy, or curry sauce into my cheek without touching my tongue and then suck it back. It lasted over 3 weeks, but it was 3 before i could eat 'solids' like fish cake, normal consistncy mash, mushy peas etc. I had the staff in the piercing shop saying they had never seen anything like it. The bar i had was so longnit dented the roof of my mouth AND the bottom gum under my tongue and stick dented my tongue both sides as it was too tight. Id rather pierce my tongue 4 times over and break my arm again and get an infection in every tooth and get tattos from head to toe than pierce my nips again. Absolutely diabolical
Once the 🍒 piercings set in, it felt like flames lol. I ended up taking them out after a year. I miss them :(

for me there’s certain times in my cycle where my nipples are the most sensitive and then the least sensitive. usually after or on my period, or after ovulation my nipples just have not sensation to them sometimes.
A lot of the time for nip piercings, the adrenaline kinda makes the pain not there. It’s odd, but the reason that the second one usually hurts more is bc there’s less adrenaline, meaning the pain is more there than it was the first time

Something I noticed is the pain is different on a different day of the month. So maybe there is some hormone correlation. For anyone wanting piercing on that particular place maybe check the month before and choose your less painful day.
i was surprised how painless the piercing is, but it's what came after i wasnt prepared for, for a few days i was convinced it was infected, it was always itchy, hot and sore, and flakes of skin were popping up. I thought i was dying, but its alright, probably would pierce my nose, mouth if i experience an existential crises, but definitely more ear piercings cause they look really nice.
I have 3 piercings on my left ear (used to be 5 until one got swollen and my cartilage was severely messed up) and 5 on my right ear, and my belly button. One tattoo on my ankle, one on both biceps, 3 tattoos on my forearms (one near my wrist) (technically 4 because one is a cover up). My most PAINFUL piecing/tattoo has definitely gotta be my cartilage and the one near my wrist but only because my tattoo artist was a dick and wouldn’t let me have a break and I was bleeding also.. definitely all depends on your pain tolerance, sensitivity, and how heavy handed your tattoo artist is.
To anybody wanting a tattoo but too scared, I recommend starting off with a part of your body that has a lot of meat (bicep, ankle, forearm), for piercings I recommend lobe and working your way up

The more you get, the worse they’ll start to hurt btw. You lose adrenaline after every one because your body is realizing its ok basically. That’s why theoretically when you get your tata’s pierced, the “second one hurts worse” and that IS true for most people :) that could be why your ear hurt the worst because you have a super high pain tolerance!!❤️
You're actually wrong about adrenaline release becoming less and less. The chemicals released in the brain are mainly endorphins and adrenaline while being pierced but you will always experience the release of those chemicals as it's a response to pain or stress. The body doesn't realize it's okay the body feels pain and sends immediate reactive signals, all part of the CNS.

I have my belly done and my tongue. My tongue didn’t hurt (I have a high pain tolerance) but the after wards when your tongue swells, it hurts really feckin bad. Any flex you movement hurts horribly. It’s good after about a week.

Things like this really depends case by case. One person could have high tolerance on certain body parts while others don’t. It could be the piercer’s or tatt artist’s technique and skills. It could be by random chance they didn’t struck a nerve while piercing. So don’t really put too much thought on whether how bad it’ll hurt bc it affects everyone differently 😅

But for some reason, getting pierced by other people always leads to me having to close my piercings due to some sort of issue or infections getting out of hand? So as a result, I’ve been doing my own since before I was a teen. Wouldn’t advocate for it though, I just knew what I was doing.
But no fr I even be piercing myself just for the heck of it now. Probably did my labret 5x within 2 weeks back in college. Kept taking it out bc it didn’t fit my “style for the day”😅. I just wanna thank my family for having good genes(fast regeneration & no scarring). Just got my tongue split a month ago. Lots of blood & appetite loss during the first couple hours of healing but that had to be one of the easiest things I’ve ever gone through😂

here’s the thing. i can almost guarantee that where i was in my cycle and how INSANELY COLD it was in my piercers space ? made them hurt as bad as they did. my tata’s were extra tender and we know what cold does to the girls hehe. but i would still do it a million times over cause i LOOOVE mine and trust my piercer with my actual life. BUT !! that doesn’t mean that someone else could have a completely different experience !! i 10000% believe that my circumstances caused the majority of the pain. some advice i can give is that if you want them ? make sure you do your research and PLEASE go to someone you trust fully. and enjoy the new piercings ;)
Gingers have higher pain tolerances than others! We also have a higher tolerance for pain medication. The science behind it is still catching up but it's a common enough phenomenon that it is being studied! Maybe it's our lack of soul 🤷♀️ (beat y'all to the joke lol)

Got ears pierced when I was small(female tradition in family), felt nothing. We did both at same time. I was so surprised because I was about to burst into tears, I really expected to be screaming, but I felt nothing. The raging infection that lasted the next year? Not my favorite, but not as bad(but close) to the braces I got around same time(and even then, worst part was getting fit for a retainer)
My nipple piercings pain were a 4/10, not as bad as I expected but definitely felt it! It kinda felt like a thick needle forcing its way through a thick piece of leather
guys some people also just don’t have feeling / sensations in their nipples. i went with my friend to get hers done and she felt no pain as well. the guy doing her peircing was shocked and asked her if she even had sensations there. she thought about it and said that she never remembered feeling them 🤷🏾♀️

I honestly think it depends on how sensitive your nipples are. Mine personally are VERY sensitive, so when I got them done THE SECOND nipple?! PAIN. The first was mostly a shock so I don't remember the feeling. But the second one felt like it was taking 10mins to go through. And yes it does make it more sensitive to touch.

I’m a trans guy/ non-binary person and I got top surgery almost two years ago and a couple months ago I finally got the nipple piercings I wanted and since my nipples are still numb from surgery I didn’t feel a thing and it just felt weird in general but I feel so confident and sexy now haha
i feel like "tolerance" is not the right word to use lol some people just have more nerves in certain parts of their body. the nipple area can be extremely sensitive to some and truly numb to others. so if you are a sensitive girly, brace yourself for some pain regardless of how high your pain tolerance is.

Part of the second one hurting more is because their adrenaline is high anticipating the pain of the first one, when it's not as bad (cause of the adrenaline) their not as panicked for the second one so their adrenaline isn't as high making it hurt more
