Korda make some good gear although I rarely buy it as I consider it overpriced for what it is. £60 for a pair of distance sticks completely backs up what I believe. There will be some mug who buys them but I don't know anyone that stupid. I use some aluminium banksticks that were the inserts on some extending banksticks that were crap. They cost £4 a pair. I can put them as upright as I need and, as luck would have it, my rod is twelve foot long ie exactly the right length to lay alongside the sticks to space them out. Would spending fifteen times that amount give me something better? Nope, it will just do exactly the same job. Will it catch me any more Carp? Nope. Doesn't do anything different to what my £4 set do. Will it make me look good? Nope, I will still be ugly only now people would take the mickey out of my stupidity. Does it do anything to promote Korda's image? Absolutely nope!
Same here, a bankstick with an insert, remove insert will make 2 sticks, a couple of shoe laces tied together precisely 2m long with loops tied in the end... you can guess the rest, cost £0.00, had the banksticks for years and found the shoe laces in a kitchen draw...happy days
If you pay £60 for these you need your head looking at. You're better off spending the money on a packet of sharp hooks and a decent bait. That WILL catch you more carp
If someone has the cash to spend on these I don't see the problem. Lots of haters making negative comments on here. If you don't have the cash or don't like them don't buy them. If you have used any JAG products you will know why people are prepared to pay a premium for beautifully designed and produced tackle. Think I may get a set ;-)
Why would you need to make sure your distance sticks are 100% vertical? The bubble is a pointless addition and looking at the isotope cap it will be the 1st thing to get lost as its just a push fit. The ridges will cause line not to flow of the sticks like smooth sticks and you have to screw them in the ground due to the tips being excavator ends they cant simply be pushed in. Don't get me wrong Korda they are a beautiful piece of design and engineering however completely over engineered for the fishing market, designed to get the money from the pocket. A product that has no real world benefit to the angler.
what are isotopes going to light up? fuck all! you might be able to see the tiny light but still can't see the end of you rod or line to wrap round your £60 sticks!! how about you jam them up your swiss korda

I rarely moan about new products, if they are innovative. Sorry but this is just an over engineered money spinner trying to solve problems that don't exist to appeal to tackle tarts. Ive used Distance sticks for years and I've never had any problems with line peeling off, or getting them in the ground with a mallet! And what the hell is the spirit level all about? LOL! Come on guys, you can buy distance sticks for less than £15 from other companies. The £60 price tag on these is absolutely absurd! This being said, I'm a proper tackle tart so I will be buying these as soon as they hit the shops! When are they out? :-D
