We all have a special "how I found Pilates" story to tell - including pro's like Blossom Leilani Crawford, who's story is rather unique. Blossom was first introduced to Pilates as a dance student at NYU by Kathleen Stanford Grant, who learned to teach Pilates from Joe Pilates himself. Kathy became her first teacher and mentor with Kathy's support, completed training with Romana Kryzanowska. Why is she hardly spoken of??? I wonder, when she was a Pioneer and was actually certified by Joseph Pilates?
We Pilates Instructors who share the same heritage as she, certainly would feel more connected knowing how well rooted we are in this work by our ancestor, Kathy Grant. ❤
