Emmylou is not the only legend who First Aid Kit have brought to tears. Check out their performance covering Patti Smith's "Walking Barefoot" with Patti in the audience.
They made Paul Simon choke up with their version of America and they had tears rollling down Patti Smith's face when they did Dancing Barefoot. I put a comment on that saying "Will you two stop making geniuses cry? Come on!"
What a beautiful song. They are so young, and such beautiful voices. No wonder Emmylou was moved to tears. Wow. Thank you, Saeed. Much love to you and your family❤️🫂
Boy are you lucky! Your viewers are requesting all of the Best of the Best! That is way too cool for words. Enjoy the music as it comes. An Emmy song : Making Believe. Quarter Moon In A Ten-Cent Town. Wayfaring Stranger.
Wow!!! I really love First Aid Kit! I guess i haven't gone back far enough to hear your first reaction. I'll find it. 🙂 I always go to see them when they come to Montreal.
They are great! I think i am at 1600 reactions right now or maybe even more 😅. But i did have some hardware issues in the past during recording so beware if you go back😅. And i might have used the pause button even more 😄
I'd never seen this, so thanks, Saeed. I saw Emmylou open for John Prine a couple times at Red Rocks, and you really need to check her out. She wrote a beautiful song about Gram Parsons after his death called Boulder To Birmingham.
This was not the first time they performed for her cause earlier that evening they a song of hers at the official gala, also worthwhile watching. Oh and at another edition of this gala (not sure an earlier or later edition) they did a Paul Simon song in front of Paul Simon.
After listening to this song, you may want to listen to Emmylou's song for Gram Parsons called Boulder to Birmingham. She also has a touching tribute song her dad called Bang the Drum Slowly.
Moin, have you found Rene Caron perhaps with Rimbaud's "The Drunken Boat - (Le bateau ivre) " after the Waits and Hildegard Knef covers ? Regards from SH Germany ... Jörg
The King of Sweden was sitting beside Emmylou for this.
He's almost seen everywhere there talented swedes perform and I see why :)

Absolutely beautiful. Can't imagine the pressure you would be under performing this in front of the person you wrote it about
Me neither! They did amazing!

Graham Parsons converted Emmylou from being a folk singer to becoming a Queen of Country music. And left the world a blessing. R.I.P. GP.

Emmylou is a national treasure. A rabbit hole well with investigating. A voice as beautiful as she is.
Definitely want to explore her music as well.
@@SaeedReacts. Emmylou, Dolly Parton and Linda Ronstadt recorded some outstanding songs as The Trio, you might want to check them out also.
Enjoyed this tremendously! And in front of the original artist! Tx Saeed. Greetings from South Africa
Amazing to see and hear! Thanks for watching. Greetings from Belgium.
Very touching. Was drawn to an Emmylou song this morning "Ballad of a Runaway Horse" by Leonard Cohen. I think would like it.

Saeed you can sing. Bob Dylan showed everyone that everyone can sing. Dylan allowed Jimi Hendrix the courage to sing and we know where that led to.
That is actually a great observation!
I always wanted to do some lessons just to be able to carry a tune.
Thanks, brother!
