12 years later who would have thought we will all be here missing this type of stuff. Just flipping through channels discovering something new to watch instead of the doomer scrolling we do now on Social Media or Streaming Services. I feel like we lost a lot of character with watching TV with the blandness of streaming today.
You sum up how I feel pretty well, there was just something so charming about television back then

It's a old Hugh's system...
These were used from around 1999 until about late 2003.

+Unusualrule Yes, however locals in many areas no longer work anymore.
My grandparents had a similar one, except the area where the channel logos are was narrower. Also, when you'd go to the guide, it wouldn't display the current channel or it's audio. Plus some logos were different, such as the Nickelodeon one, which was yellow.
@@Techraingeek Interesting tidbit. Judging from the movie titles on the Pay-Per-View channels, this was recorded sometime in 2010-2011.

+Mirko Mazzoni Weatherscan isn't available on directv because they're a national provider so it would be too hard to get Weatherscan on there because they would need a bunch of IntelliStars.
+Mirko Mazzoni and they get 1/100 because of local channels and stuff, and I don't even know if it goes up to 999 except for 9999 which is the active channel on interactive boxes, I only know a few numbers in their lineup.
