1:25 you see deGrom shaking his head in what appears to be minor frustration, right after a strikeout on a 100 MPH fastball and right as Gary Cohen says "1-2-3 go the Red Sox in the second." The fact that he still isn't satisfied after an inning like that is part of what makes him the best pitcher in baseball.

I love how he isn't afraid of challenging hitters in the zone. The guy threw 5 straight fastballs at Acuna, doesn't flinch and sends him off to grab some pine. Dude is built different.
98 mph slider and 91 mph changeup. This guy is nuts haha. Imagining his off speed pitches being as fast as most other pitcher's fastballs is crazy.

Unlike Bauer he didn't get to beat up a bunch of trash central teams who weren't even trying to field winning rosters. He deserved the 3rd straight Cy Young. Could you imagine how much better his stats would have been if he got to face the Tigers, Pirates and Royals a bunch of times instead of the Rays, Yankees, and Braves?
