At this point, the DMCA claims are so ridiculous that I am now convinced that streamers don't edit their vods for the money. But instead edit them for the sole purpose of not giving these scammers money.
DMCA does need to get fixed but the problem with this video too my knowledge was not with DMCA. It was because the video got age gated essentially killing the video for recommendations in the algorithm. Its similar to what happened with his mouse trap vod.

Most DMCA flags are automated. Obviously falsely made manual claims happen, but whether we like it or not, DMCA it is the law. That means that both Ray and TH-cam need to adhere to it. But I don’t think it should be controversial to say that people who rightfully own content should be compensated for it. Even if it’s a song that plays in the background. The bigger issue is that TH-cam’s implementation of it is garbage. Instead of splitting royalties, they give everything to the other party. There is no reason why they shouldn’t be able to calculate an appropriate % of royalties to give based on how heavily featured the DMCA’d content is featured.
As someone who was around for your AH days but didn't really watch Minecraft, this stream gave me that nostalgia high that I'm sure your return to MC did for so many others. This was such a hilarious session, I couldn't possibly pick a favorite moment! But i can say it's definitely funnier than the original. Who knew that this silly game would just get better with time?
