Hi! I have a question. I‘m dating a girl who has HSV1 genitally. I recently did a blood test and found out that I have a high amount of HSV1 antibodies, so I got the virus as well. Since I never had any symptoms I don’t know where I have it, but I‘m assuming that it’s a bit more likely that I have oral herpes. In that case, am I safe or would I be able to get the same virus in my genital area as well? Do we know anything about that?

If you have the virus, but no outbreaks, your body is doing what it's supposed to be doing with the virus - suppressing it. It's unlikely you will get it in two places, although I wouldn't want to assume where you actually have it. Just let it be. Many people would be jealous you're not getting outbreaks :)
Thanks for the reply. So I either have it already in my genital area or if not, it’s extremely unlikely to get at two places. Ofc we won’t have sex with visible outbreaks anyway
