Something really bugs me about seeing someone who's so mean and entitled get what they want. Accusations about her being a bully on Glee? Oh alright then, here's the lead role on the musical you've always wanted to be cast in. She is the child having a tantrum in the supermarket screaming and making a mess because their mom said "no" to getting them candy, that in the end got the candy anyway

Sometimes I wonder if “karma” truly exists. You have bad people in the world still thriving and living their lives. I mean, sure they may end up struggling with their own personal demons due to what they’ve done, but more often than not, they still operate well in the day to day. Example: My rap!st is doing fine, and has a child now, while going on vacations. I guess karma is selective.

Even as a perfectionist, I wouldn't make micro aggressions, make someone feel unwelcome, or even lock myself in a room, stalling a work day. Everything about that woman is unlikeable.

See the conundrum of being a perfectionist is as follows: You have to also be a control freak which could inadvertently make the lesser ones feel overtly lesser....lol. For example have you ever in your perfectionist days of ever working alongside someone uttered these words: "Its okay, I'll do it."
???... just asking and by all means, stay a 'perfectionist'. I'm an Autonomous Control Freak which basically means: Don't touch me or try to handle my affairs for me...I can do it myself!, so I'm not looking down on you, I'm simply questioning the truthfulness of your claiming to be some benevolent 'perfectionist'.

@@malo6073 Sure, she is talented, but that doesn't change the fact that her personality towards people and her surroundings, especially during work is awful. I think if they had someone else as her character, Glee would've been fine.

@@jessicaa.8471 you are talking about incidents that happened over 10 years ago. Move on. Maybe you should go play god with someone with more recent sins.
And Glee was built around Lea Michele and her character. The others were extras. Even if there was another character cast, it wouldn’t have lasted as long as it did. Give Lea Michele her fair dues. Bet she’s worked 1000x harder in her life than you have.

When I was a Gleek, I REALLY tried my hardest to like her. I wanted to so bad but there was always something off about her. Talented yes, but she had sort of a mean girl vibe to her. Then the whole thing came in 2020 when she was called out for her past actions and while it didn’t shock me, it still sucked how much of a mean girl she was. the producers and directors should have handled the lea problem, this is what happens when bosses/hr/tv networks don't address toxic work environments, and those that are creating the toxic environments. Them not addressing Lea allowed her to see that she could do/act/say however she wanted and there would be no consequences. if you are a boss you should have big enough balls to not feel attacked when others are bringing red flags to your attention and address the issues. Naya definitely put them in their place and that director/producer should feel ashamed he went off on her when he wasn't ballsy enough to address who the real problem was; lea. and I hope Lea does not treat others that way again, whether it stems from her need to be the star in every situation or she is insecure others are more talented then her, nothing warrants being an asshole at work.

I never really enjoyed Glee, the writing was shitty and done in a way to match the latest songs and happenings in the music industry (like that lame love story they made happen to fit Whitney Houston's songs into it like a "tribute", aka "let's cash in on the latest celebrity death").
Regardless, I never liked Lea nor her character. I agree that they were one. And the biggest proof of that, and her lack of acting skills, is that at the ending, they tried to portray her as a repenting, now caring, kind person, and it felt EXTREMELY fake. It almost made me puke, it was SO FAKE.
Good actors actually can convince you they are good/bad people when they act so. Rachel Berry felt incredibly false towards the end of the show, but extremely legit when she was being mean. Came natural to her and felt natural to the character because it was natural.
And I felt like this before I even knew about the bullying rumors. The rumors only confirmed what I felt.

  • @marissashuler7199

What's interesting is I always found her character on Glee really fucking annoying. I know that was maybe a little bit intentional with the writing, but even in moments where I felt like I was supposed to like her, there was just something generally unlikeable about her. Not that I knew she was like *this* but I honestly feel like her actual personality had probably shown through a bit on the cameras. The way she treated other women on set is horrible and really fucking disappointing. To think that she nearly made people leave Hollywood I think really says a lot about the extent of all of it.
It's not even close to the same, but there were some girls in drama in highschool that made trying out of the musical or whatever really difficult for a lot of people. They would mock, laugh at, and just blatantly bully people who were trying their best. And yeah, it made me and a lot of other people just totally give up on all that because the environment was just so toxic. I can't imagine having that experience but on SET at a real JOB. It's horrible that people like that run rampant in nearly every industry and make people feel like they just can't handle the career they're passionate about.
Also I agree 100% that her "apology" (if you can even call it that) was really PR and was most likely something she was meant to do before the start of this Funny Girl shit... idk. Seems like very interesting timing for "self reflection" especially since there was really no depth to what she said.

Unrelated but Naya should’ve been here. So incredibly sad that she never got to see her son grow up.

If only she would have put on that life jacket in the boat. Or not jumped in at all as her parents advised her not to when they spoke to her when she was in the boat. It’s so unfortunate but bad decisions have bad consequences. She was a talented woman.

Lea Michele is very talented... But it's a shame she used that talent and influence in negative ways, especially against one who would soon pass away. Be nice folks. We're not here forever 🙏🏾🙏🏽🙏🏼💕

Glee was such an important show to me. I am so happy to hear that things are going well for Lea and she's making strides to be a better person overall. (But the Gleek in me is freaking out that Rachel Berry IRL is doing Funny Girl IRL!! 😂🥺❤)
I wish Naya was still here! I wish good things for all of the cast and crew of Glee.

Even how she would behave in Glee, like during the part where Telephone was sung in the bathroom, she always had a snarky and somewhat stuck up attitude. Crazy how it bled through the screen, not sure if that was meant to portray her character.

I'm sorry but she's past the point of redemption - at least anytime this decade (or the next). Good on Naya and everyone else who stood their ground against the beast. I have a hard time believing she's this different person in any real capacity after a few months of so-called reflection. Everyone screws up but... come on! Actions speak louder than words, Leah
