Stones are awesome! I don't have this super deluxe edition of Sticky Fingers but I hope to some day. It looks great. I do have the two disc CD version.
I have the deluxe edition of Goats Head Soup and Tattoo You. Both are very nice. I don't know if you have those. If not you might want to add them to your collection. The only thing I really dislike about the Goats Head Soup deluxe is that the included book is attached to the box. I don't know what idiot thought that was a good idea lol. Also have the CD/Blu-Ray boxset for Hackney Diamonds. That one's pretty good as well. I don't yet have the Some Girls deluxe edition nor the Exile On Main Street deluxe edition. I'm slowly working on getting all The Rolling Stones deluxe editions. Only problem is my want list is bigger than my wallet lol.
@@Mcfly85A I do have them, there’s even unboxing videos on my channel. Well, not of the Exile box, I bought that 12 years ago or so. The «only» box set of the 70’s albums I don’t have is the Some Girls one. Yeah, the Goats Head Soup box was in many ways great but that construction, it ain’t so great. Not a fan of forcing the fans to buy both the CD box and Vinyl one if you really wanted ALL the content. I wish they would look to the Exile box if the give us a Black and Blue box.
@@MortenAastad Oh that's awesome. I'll watch those videos right now. This Sticky Fingers video was the first video of yours I have watched. It just showed up on my recommendations. And yes, I'd love a Black And Blue deluxe edition. I'd really love an Undercover deluxe edition as that's my personal favorite album ever. Really glad TH-cam suggested your video.
@@Mcfly85A Black and Blue and Some Girls were my very first Rolling Stones records (that were mine). My older sister and brother each gave a Stones album for what I think was my birthday, or maybe Christmas. Still have the vinyls, specially cool to have that original pre lawsuit Some Girls cover 😊
Hey Morten Happy new year to you. You certainly do some interesting unboxings...I do really like Sticky Fingers but buying boxsets is a rabbit hole I try not to go down too often due to cost. I've never heard Mick Jagger speak like Charles Aznevour..😂 that was hilarious!..looks a really nice set though and some great photos in the book. I think they should have included all the band figures in the box, but glad you got Bill!. All the best. Rob.😊
Reading this as my mobile captured wind of being close enough to the Swedish coastline. Biting cold, dread getting off the ferry and making my way to the trainstation to get the train to Norway. Happy New Year as well, thank you for your kind comment 😊
@@MortenAastad Cheers Morten, hope you didn't get frostbite!..I recall being in Arboga, Sweden back in the 90s around December time and it was Nuts freezing temperatures. 🥶
Glad you got it. Nice looking boxset of course. Typical with The Stones, musically the box is more "sizzle than steak" compared to the other major bands deluxe box sets. But the Leeds live CD is awesome. Glad you got the Wyman figure since he's your favorite. It's totally random so lucky you.
Thank you Alan for stopping by. That was a really nice piece of luck for me with good old Bill. And finally getting this, 3 times a charm and all of that 😊
When you say that have the Leeds stuff in another records, do you mean by that to a bootleg release of that concert? If it is like that, it wouldn't be the same, because all the bootleg releases omitted the first two songs from that gig, and mostly are in mono (unlike this CD exclusively released for this Super Deluxe edition of Sticky Fingers, which is in crisp stereo). Get Yer Leeds Lungs Out, it's definitely my favourite live album from The R. Stones.
@@dandinofat No, I don’t really own any bootlegs, I probably meants the ‘From the Vault’ 2015 release of the 1982 Roundhay Park in Leeds release, containing both a vinyl and a DVD. This was the tour my brother got us tickets to see in Gothenburg Sweden but my mother forbade me to go, arguing I was too young.
But the CD that you showed in this video, which is an exclusive release from the 2015's Super Deluxe box edition of Sticky Fingers, is a live album originally recorded at the University of Leeds, in the same year in which Sticky Fingers was released: 1971 (and that's precisely why it was included in this box set). In fact, this album in the CD has the title of: Get Yer Leeds Lungs Out Live At The University of Leeds, 1971. My point is that as far as I know, there isn't any other way to get that exclusive live album (at least in its official CD release) than through buying this limited edition box set.
@@dandinofat Sorry, my mind was entirely thrown off course here, I got a heck of a backpain, «walking» around shaped like the letter L. You are of course correct, I guess I must have mispoken and my mind was clearly not in the correct gaff on that topic. I was probably in the moment confused by the title. Lucky I wasn’t claiming it was the same as the Who Live at Leeds. Sorry about that. And no, I sertainly have not heard of anywhere else to get that in a proper manner. It’s an odd box, compared to lets say the Exile box, but apart from being a CD only deluxe (7’’ not withstanding) it os damned well done.
Thank you Rob! I love my hat also and I am fond of Canadas only (current) MLB team. Hey, one of my favorite Rockies players (have an autographed photo) Dante Bichette’s sons plays for the Blue Jays, so… you know, that’s something (bet you didn’t think a Scandinavian would know this). Seen the Jays, and Blue Leafs, alas, not in Canada. Bucket list. Happy New Year!
@@MortenAastad Bo Bichette was about our only reliable bat last season. Hope he continues in 2024. Im a life long Jays fan. I even have a seat from the stadium.

This is blasphemous but I’m not a Stones fan. Like them but that’s as far as it goes. However, this box set is a beaut. Lol - your reaction to the cut-out.
I don’t mind David. Why, sometimes I’m annoyed when people love stuff I feel is «my» thing. Please have a lovely New Years Eve with your husband and perhaps others and I wish you a splendid 2024! Tak for det gamle as my dad used to say. Hug from Morten.
Same the cut outs didn't come as a full band, I got mick Taylor in my box, I would have liked keith or charlie
Kind if cool having Mick Taylor though, I’d be chuffed by that as well, he was (is) a virtuoso 😊
