Yup that sure is a SnowTrac, It was made (as you saw on the plate in the video) in Sweden by Aktiv industries. When I was a kid they were really common in all alpine areas here in Sweden. They mainly used them for maintaining the cross country ski tracks and to ferry tourists up into the mountains. They could hold a few people inside, with their skies and other stuff on the outside luggage racks. But the bulk of the people used to be pulled behind the machine on their downhill or cross country skies in two lines by long ropes with hoopes in them. They could transport thirty people at a time up the mountain like that...
