About Sybarite5:
"Their rock star status is well deserved, theie classically honed technique mixed with grit and all out passionate attack transfixes the audience...” That is how The Sarasota Herald Tribune described SYBARITE5, the first string quintet ever selected as a winner of the Concert Artists Guild International Competition. Comprised of Sami Merdinian and Sarah Whitney, violins; Angela Pickett, viola; Laura Metcalf, cello; and Louis Levitt, bass, Sybarite5 has taken audiences by storm all across the US, forever changing the perception of chamber music performance. From the moment their bows hit the strings, this quintet of talented, diverse musicians takes the audience on an exciting ride that engages the senses and redefines the rules.

Radiohead's compositions are brilliant and they transition excellently to orchestral/classical music.
They absolutely do. Many artists' songs sound "nice" when orchestrated; but there's something about Radiohead's songs that sound as if they were almost made for it.
It’s all Jonny Greenwood!
Jonny is huge on orchestral music. He's scored a few movies. He did the master and there will be blood, both incredible movies with incredible scores.
@@nolanr7679 don't forget Phantom Thread
This version actually drove me to tears, and I have no explanation beyond how deep it touched me.
Big hugs to you Rodney ❤️
That Ed backing vocals is gorgeous
This is fantastic and deserves more likes. 4 people got eaten by the worms
Thanks JS ❤️❤️❤️
This is by far the best classical-instrumentation arrangement of Weird Fishes. Often the arpeggiated line is far too loud while the percussive line maintains a drum kit (which can feel out of place and overbearing). Here the most important elements are actually translated and brought out. Huge props to the bassist! The pizz section of the bridge was also particularly beautiful. Congratulations!!
Thanks Gabriel!! ❤❤❤
eeeeeeed
😂
Please, do more Radiohead's versions! Your versions are wonderful!
we did 10 :)

The adaptation is amazing, but there's no need to blaspheme.

Please do a cover of airbag by radiohead that would be so awesome
We have one... Never recorded it!
Сумасшедшая аранжировка, круто!
Is there anyway to get the sheet music for this arrangement?
Feel weird the time signature
It's 4/4 so it really shouldn't feel weird to you, unless perhaps you just wanted to seem cool by "picking up on it"
Its in 4/4 but lots ties over the bar lines for sure! Very sneaky @radiohead!
Does anyone know where I could find sheet music of this song arranged for a string trio or string quartet?
Holy👏shit
No recontrapinches mames! Hermoso ensamble 💓
Gracias!
$%^&ing brilliant.
Play at Custom speed 0.8 enjoy
rip the drummer
haha
we ❤️ drummers
My doctor apparently knows the guy who plays the double bass
So this is what people look like when they have all their shit together.
If only lol!
Now if only rock bands could cover Beethoven’s string quartets…. Then we’d be on to something
To me they are rushing heaps but still great performance.
They are playing about 15 bpm faster than the RH version. I think that's a stylistic choice and intentional. I enjoy the frenetic/on-edge feel it gives to this string ensemble imagining of the piece, but I'm sure it's not for everyone.
@@DoveWrestler I acknowledge its being played faster than the original, but they still seem to speed up dramatically throughout the performance. It's a minor critique, but I find it very noticeable.
Hey man whats your drum patch?
It's a violinist, named Sami Merdinian lol
@@sybarite5videos oh my god I replied to the wrong video lmao! Love y'all stuff though, been obsessively listening lately haha
you put Vitamin String Quartet to fucking shame
