Warning for anyone who plays Back 4 Blood on solo mode you will not have any player progression. That means no cosmetics, no unlocking the other characters and no achievements/trophies unlocking if you play solo mode.
I'll never understand why we can never get a zombie game where we actually experience the initial breakout and watch the world collapse around us over the course of the campaign until we can turn things around. I always feel like we miss a good chunk of the action and horror.
Doom 3 kind of went to shit like that, but it's not really a zombie game. Dead rising has progressively more zombies as the game goes on. Resident evil 3 is pretty good with the first stage of a zombie outbreak (both of em) Outbreak games too. Dead space 2 and 3 have intros with outbreaks starting but that's only for the intros. Yeah there aren't that many.

The time skip really removes that tension buildup of constantly failing to contain the spread, figuring out what caused the outbreak (possibly even finding "patient zero"), etc. I was getting more at games in the co-op shooter/survival horror genre like Last of Us, World War Z, and Back 4 Blood.

Yeah L4D2 was extremely boring to me as well. After playing the beta of B4B and just how satisfying it was to kill riddens, and the card system had me hooked immidiatly
This campaign trailer gives off a whole different vibe than the beta did from gameplay throwing frags and immediately pulling at your knife without taking fall damage almost like they're trying to sell a different game that has a deeper story than running from point A to B using a card system
The beta was old and missing stuff but people didn't believe them and the same thing is gonna happen with the cards the devs said it countless times they are not selling any cards everyone can get cards that are coming for free.
Well, the versus mode campaign is a popular suggestion so I think they will add it. But I think you will able to play split screen with ya friends, I hope they will add that.

@@barfvoice6043 I've seen it, looks cool. But I just want versus to be fun. The current versus mode they have in Back 4 Blood is pretty subpar, I want that old style campaign versus to return. Survival versus is cool and all but it shouldn't be the main pvp mode, IMO.
They have already confirmed there isnt a campaign PVP mode at launch. If they did make one, it'd take like another 4 months of development or even longer

For the ones who are thinking about purchasing this game. If you plan on playing this offline I’m sorry to say you cannot. There’s no way to play offline mode, I got the game and I’ve been asked to buy a PS Plus subscription. I’m not sure how it is for Xbox. If you have very bad internet connection I highly suggest not getting this game. The monthly patches for it are just too big. Hope this helps.

I really hope the game is actually ready by then... The last beta really needed some work... Please push back the game if it's not something the team is proud of.. Don't let shareholders decide what a "good game" is... It hasn't worked well for you in the past so I'd be more than happy if it got delayed again just to make sure the release is a success because people are getting sick of buying trash and your image will only suffer if it's bad and I so badly want it to be good. I remain hopeful and have already bought into it but I'm still concerned it's going to flop like evolve...
