I really don't understand how you did the thread on the screw but this was a neat video. If you're not doing narration, at least some simple text narration describing what you are doing and why would be handy. It seems like you defined a shape to cut the thread but I couldn't follow how you did it.
I'm stuck at 2:13 with making a pocket. (v 0.18) Error : the active Body does not contain a base shape, so ther is no material to be removed; the selected sketch does not belong to the aactive Body.
Just add speech and explain what and whey you do it.
Need commentary describing what you are doing. Music is pointless and adds nothing to your video.
This is wonderful. Thank you very much! What is the easiest way to draw a plate? Yes, a ceramic plate. I used to draw on Alibre, draw the shape and just turn it around an axis, I also draw mugs, bowls, etc.It is difficult to start from zero with a software I don't know
great thread demo... i have been attempting to make some 1/4"_18 threads tapered NPT male pipe threads for sealing 5000 psi... at the very peak point crest it has a tiny 2 to 4 thou flat spot and the taper gives some twisting crest distortion ? this may not be a problem, however for learning purposes it would be nice to find the reason for this error? i think the profile, helix and pitch values are very close, but may need a very small adjustment? thanks a lot...:)
Hi there, very useful lesson. The question is how did you define the mesurins at 5:58 and 6:28?
5:58 is the lock constraint. Immobilizes the point relative to the coordinate system, that is, you define the distance from the x and y axes. 6:28 is the vertical distance constraint. It can be used in several ways: definition of line length (along the y axis), definition of distance between two points (along the y axis), definition of distance from the x axis for a single point. Doesnt work for me as shown; probably same issue as Lucian reported. Maybe it is because of a different FC version ? I use the current one, 0.18.

I get stuck at 1:23 with an error that says I need an active body object in the document, any ideas?
Its okay I figured it out with some google searching; once you open the part design page you have to create a body and then you are able to create a sketch

Kicsit egyszerűbben is lehet! Az addon managger ben bejelőlni a makrok közül a screw_ macro_1_2 FcMacrot. Telepíteni, újra indítani a Freecad-ot és már is mindenféle csavar a rendelkezésünkre áll.
még egyszerűbb megoldás a "fasteners" workbench addon

I was wrong: the current version I use is the 0.17
Video was recorded for version 0.16. It is difficult to diagnose the problem. Maybe somehow the files will help in the description.

Yah, around 4:40 it's pointless to try and follow this. PLEASE don't make tutorial videos with only music background! If you can't add voice or even text commentary describing each step of the process, it's impossible to follow your constant mouse clicks and movements. Even pausing and re-playing this wasn't enough to get me through it! You appear to have expertise... please try again!

Right around 4:40 this tutorial becomes absolutely useless from lack of commentary.
