I’m curious to know if they’ll ever react to Something New-Killer’s timeline. How Sans broke and was tortured until he became Killer, and how he was conditioned and trained by his Human. How he defeated his human, and what he was planning to do to himself before Nightmare stopped him & kidnapped him. (I wonder if they could react to one of Killer’s canon comics, the one where he leaves Nightmare with his friend Color.)

The reason why it's so complicated for him to not be toxic is because, again in my au, he doesn't know how real relationship works, he's just scared that Killer leaves since, like you said, Color clearly wanna help Killer being independant. And Nightmare understand after a long time that Killer has his own life too, he's working on himself right now :)
