@@90sbaby1 Hi There, read your comment. Unfortunately it’s not “awesome”, it makes a noise. I’ve stopped playing in a band..arthritis… but I used a 500 Watt Fender Rumble…..that was awesome. The tone on the Glarry is rubbish, but for bedroom playing, it makes a noise. As Gamer 6550 said, try the Rockjam. For £26, the Glarry does a job, but it’s not great.
Thanks for the review! The Amp came over a little muddy on this side of the screen....on my Device at least. I don’t know if you’re aware but, the mp3 volume isn’t controlled by the amplifier volume because it’s a dedicated Guitar Amp. This is part of the problem with Modelling Amps. They have Woofers & Tweeters which Guitar Amps don’t need. I’m looking for a cheap practice Amp that doesn’t have any Bells & Whistles as my Marshall is too big & loud & I am done with modelling. I think Solid State are the next best thing to Tube Amps, based on sound first & then price. Once again thanks! 👍

I’ve just bought the basic 20 watt bass amp. Cost me £26. Have to say, it’s very, very tinny. It’s basic, but it does a job for the house. I could have spent a lot more cash and bought a decent one. I should say, I sold my Fender Rumble 500, but I don’t gig anymore.
When i plug it into my guitar, no sound comes out of the speaker? I can hear my guitar perfectly fine but there’s no difference in sound. It’s turned on and plugged in and i’ve tried everything at max. I got it yesterday and have been wanting to learn for a while so i’m just testing things out, but not entirely sure how to work it
I have to ask you some questions. Did the light go on when you turned on the amp. Is your guitar plugged into the right input. Did you turn up all the volume and tone knobs. If you did all these things then chances are pretty good that you got a bad amp. If you bought it from Glarry Music contact them, they have good product support. Does yours have a 2 prong wire to plug into the outlet? I got the same one from amazon it came with my guitar and it has 2 prongs, which I've been hearing are unsafe. How can you stay safe while playing with 2 prongs without getting shocked?
I sold mine cause it was a piece of crap and yes it only had 2 prongs.. I've never heard of anyone getting shocked by a Glarry amp so I wouldn't loose any sleep over it. Why do some electronics have only two prongs? Some devices have built-in surge protection without a ground prong. It’s a necessary safety feature when using a two-prong or ungrounded outlet. Instead of a ground wire, these devices use an internal voltage adapter or insulation that protects the device from a short circuit..... So rest easy my friend and Rock On... Thanks for watching
Yes, and I will tell you why. The Glarry only has 5 settings, Volume, Gain, Bass, Trebble & Drive. The Rockjam has 6 settings, Gain, Boost, Volume, Treble, Middle & Bass. The headphone output on the Glarry did not work. The headphone on the RJ works great and it's a nice clean deep sound. The RJ on Amazon always goes on sale, right now it's $42.99 + free shipping (I got mine for $35). The Glarry is always around $49 + $9.99 shipping from Amazon, but at least you can return it. Not so easy if you buy from Glarry Music but it's free shipping. The RJ puts out more volume then the Glarry and it's a warmer deeper sound. Some Glarry buyers complained that it's only a 10 watt amp listed as 20. The carrying handle on the RJ is better, on the Glarry I could barely get my fingers under it. I did a video review of a Reverb pedal I bought just for the RJ and it really makes a budget amp sound great. I'll post the link too the review and for the pedal on Amazon.. Great demo - Thanks, John B! Unfortunately, the claimed 20Watts is far from what is actually heard here... As an Amp developer myself, I know it's common for manufacturers to use a speaker rated at "X Watts" in an amp and then claim that the amp is this loud. For example, I'm currently making a pallet-wood amplifier using a "60 Watt" speaker. This is the power at which that speaker might disintegrate... MY amplifier outputs about 1 watt... and, with that speaker, makes a LOT of noise!.. by NOT 60Watts! In fact, the speaker rating is only what the speaker manufacturer says is the MAX wattage that speaker can handle (without blowing apart)... whether the amp outputs that wattage is a completely different matter (that's down to the circuit, the input voltage/signal and the speaker rating). From hearing this over TH-cam, I have to say that any amp worth its salt would produce a LOT more volume and, essentially, CLEAN volume at that rating (20 Watts!). I'm gonna buy one of these myself and do a video comparison with my own amps because, to be honest, I have no doubt that mine will surpass the claimed "20 Watts" of the Glarry (and many others of its ilk!). To see my amps (in case you're interested, although I don't yet ship to the States, Search TH-cam for "Crazy Jack Amp". Have a nice day!
