My favorite commander is purphoros, god of the Forge. The reason being is because its extremely hard to get rid of and in a token strategy it does soooooo much work to close out games fast. The only downside is that because it's only 1 color its limited on interaction. Because of that, I lean into purphoros's ability by adding support like fiery emancipation, torbran and creatures who add more tokens when they etb, like siege gang commander.
My favorite commander is sliver overlord because I love how much fun it is to play and how much chaos it is to play when other people play slivers as well since the of slivers affect all slivers which is crazy and it is really hard to keep track of all the affects going on. Also love your videos and keep up the good work!!!
My favorite commander is Rakdos, the Showstopper. When I first started playing magic it was because a friend of mine in high school gave me Rakdos as a gift and helped me assemble a deck. It was a demon tribal deck and it was garbage but a ton of fun playing with the people at my lgs afterschool.
Great video as always! Thanks for checking these out - I always pause and think about packages like these....I don't purchase most of the time because its hard for me to take a shot at something good or buy something good that I need for my decks. My favorite Commander is tied between Animar, Soul of Elements (cheat out stupid big creatures and go nuts with the board presence) and Nekusar the Mindrazer (accelerates the game and you can pull off some nasty combos to claim victory out of nowhere mid to late game). Those are my go-to Commanders for a fun game.
Karona, False god is by far my favorite commander!! I causes total political chaos when i cast it and then enchant it with a vow so it can't hit me as i sit back and ramp until I can kill someone with Door To Nothingness.
My favorite commander is Kozilek, the Great Distortion, the reason is because I can use his ability to gain political leverage about letting things resolve and deterring attackers because of his power
He is one of the first mythics i pulled from a pack years ago and just built a commander deck around him this past summer. I love all my big eldrazi bois
My favorite commander is Chainer, Nightmare Adept! Just recently built this EDH deck! Always have loved graveyard decks since my start in commander around 2015! Being able to not be heartbroken when your friends blow up your creatures is what I love about running Chainer, nightmare adept! Love listening to your content at work! Skadoosh!
What's up my ninja, this is jeff. Love watching your videos, I have since you started the channel. I was a subscriber once, but had to cancel. My favorite commander would be kaalia of the vast then run kaalia, zenith seeker as well in deck. Have a great, later.
Emmara, Soul of the Accord is my favorite commander. I remember when I first started magic I walked into my LGS and apparently it was the Guilds of Ravnica open house event, so the store owner gave my friends and I a free starter pack and a Promo Emmara. Before that day my friends and I had talked about trying commander but didn't really know where to start, but right as I saw that card I knew I had to build around her. While she may not be as powerful as my other decks now, she will always be my pet deck and likely see a few games every game night.
My favorite commander is Animar, Soul of Elements, I like being able to cheat out big creatures for little to no mana and its eays to build a good board state early on!
My favorite commander is Hapatra, vizier of poisons. When i started playing magic, a friend of mine got me a pw deck for my birthday. It was the amonkhet liliana one, it was a -1-1 counter deck and it was realy bad. A few weeks later i discovered hapatra, i bought her and build the deck with the pw deck cards and some cards from new phyrexia my father had lying around. I have been upgrading the deck ever since and its pretty powerfull now.
Dude, Hapatra was my first EDH deck and also got the Liliana's PW deck. Still trying to improve it but it was really easy to play with her... Oh, and I exchanged a can of beer for that card lol
My favorite current Commander is Tibor and Lumia, always gets overlooked, majority of the deck is 1 drop cantrips that will either wipe the board by giving Tibor deathtouch, or steal everything you own via willbreaker. so fun.
I started playing commander back in 2014 because of seeing these commander decks for sale in Walmart. Bought myself the green one and my son the white deck you opened in this video. To this day we still play these decks as they came out of the box. Would love to be able to have the blue deck to add to our arsenal.
My favorite is Teysa Karlov I started playing when guilds of ravnica released and when ravnica allegiance came out i pulled her and loved the art and the abilities, it was later in my life where i discovered commander and the game just made me love it more
My favorite commander will always be Sevinne, the Chronoclasm. I haven’t had the opportunity to play with the deck yet (2019 precon) but it was the first commander product my wife bought me when I got back into magic earlier this year. Keep up all the good videos Joey. You make my drive to work interesting everyday. Thanks for all you cover.
I am new to Commander/EDH, just started playing in this format a few months ago. Started with the 2020 Ikoria pre-cons and have been building from there. The one commander I purposely went out to buy was Edgar Markov, as I like playing vampires, and have built a deck around him.
My favorite commander is Karona, false god: I like her as my commander because you get to trick people into thinking that it's a group hugs deck on the surface so that you can conspire underneath and unleash your cool combos when they least expect it. Mystery unpacking was awesome. Keep it up.
My favorite commander is Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. I really like the Ninjutsu mechanic, and there was even a time during my high school days where I play against a friend who plays Ninjas. Really brings back good times. That's why I bought the deck she is in as soon as she was spoiled.
I recently got into Magic around the time Ikoria came out. My first Commander deck the homies helped me make was Nethroi, Apex of Death so it’ll always hold a special place in my heart lmao. Even now I’m still trying to find ways to upgrade it.
Just told my brother to watch the video because I’m not allowed to have social media and I already subbed, liked the video, and range the bell! My favorite format is commander and my favorite commander is squee, the immortal because his cost always stays the same and I love playing janky goblins because it was my first ever magic deck. Hope I can get that teferi deck for an early Christmas present!
I'm gonna share this shortly but my favorite commander is ironically that Teferi haha he was one of the first commander precons I got and I ended up selling most of my decks when I got married to try and help make a better savings for getting started in life. I loved playing all those bad person blue combos and the idea of planeswalker commanders because of that cycle of precons. I may have to check this company out when I'm not in college thank you!
My favorite tends to be the one i'm building at the time, which is currently Anowon, the Ruin Thief. My first shot at a tribal deck and it's been fun. Simple, but fun.
Pir and toothy. One of my first decks, It runs well on a low budget not just the power cards some people use. Fun little duo. And to answer the maze of ith question it was out of the dark, first set I started with so fondly remember cracking it in a pack
My favorite commander is Animar, Soul of Elements; because it lets you ramp very fast and cast huge creatures very early in the game as well as some crazy bounce and re cast triggers making him even bigger and either win by commander damage or big creatures or combo, is very versatile. Love your videos men!
My favorite commander right now has got to be Golos, Tireless Pilgrim. I just love ramping off a cliff and landing in the top three cards of my library to lay down some nasty high CMC sorceries.
Kinnan Bonder Prodigy is my favorite right now. Fun, fast, and can be changed by a handful of cards to be either competitive or just do big fun things.
My favorite commander has to be Sliver Overlord. I started playing mtg with a deck that my dad made me. Little did I know that that would be the moment of my journey into mtg. So, gotta be my favorite as it holds a lot of memories. Always love the content you provide Joey!!
My favorite commander is obuun. He's very sneaky and can grow pretty quickly. Being able to utilize your lands alongside moraug is very fun. Won a ton of games with them.
my favorite commander is Roon of the Hidden Realm as it was in the first Commander deck I got from a friend who made it for me. He is not here anymore but I still remember him when I play with this deck.
Favorite Commander Isamaru, Hound if Kinda. What's not to love about a good dog and a lot of swords! I have been playing Commander for 6 years, still enjoy it at causal and competitive ranges.
My favorite commander is Ezuri, Claw of Progress. It was my first commander from the 2015 precon and I still have him leading a Simic deck to this day.
Hi joey!! really love your videos, been around since the opening of mystery cubes! My favourite commander is an old one: Miss Narset, Enlightened master with infinite turns/ attack steps build, because I love being able to cast spells without paying their mana cost hence having responses for everything!! eheheh Keep up the good work!!
I opened a box of Battlebond back when it was in reasonable range and I got a foil mythic Nirkana Revenant, traded it away thinkin it was pretty much a dud for like, 18 bucks. Traded the lands all away around 8 bucks apiece. I luckily did also get a doubling season and a Mycosynth which are both about the same now as they were then, either way I definitely made the money back but I kick myself for not holding onto the lands.
Favorite commander at the moment is Odric, Lunarch Marshal. I have a mono-white deck built around him, with cards that have as many keywords as possible in them, and cards that give cards keywords. I once had a huge token army that was flying, first strike, indestructible, life link, vigilance and trample. Once I got Odric out, and it went unchallenged, it was game over for all the opponents. Good times! I like him because it's not something people expect to ever see in commander, he's not very popular, but he's pretty nasty, and cheap to bring out, even if he gets sent home a few times. He's basically a finisher. Set the board state with all your keyword cards, get some tokens going, then play him and it's game over.
My favourite commander is Jeleva, nephalia scourge, it's not my best deck but is the most political heavy deck I own, I can make late game deals with everyone just by not casting the commander, it also functions both as a kess spellslinger or as marchesa combat. I like to think of it as my "Hocus Pocus" deck, because it's also wizard tribal with the three grixis legends as the three witches. It's blue heavy so I would love to win that teferi's deck to fill it up
favorite commander is alela, the provocateur . I like that I can use artifacts, for enter and make flyer as soon as they hit to swarm the board early .
My favorite commander is oloro, just because I love white/black and then splashing the blue for card advantage is so fun, and taking advantage of his ability while he's in the command zone
My favorite commander is Vorel, when I first started playing, my friend gave me that card and taught me to make my first commander deck. Also he does crazy the ngs with counters, which just got a lot of support with ikoria
My favorite commander that ive built a deck around is Torbran, Thane of Red Fell. Its a mono red deck so you think its gonna be kinda slow and clunky but once Torbran is out everything just gets dangerous. A lightning bolt now does 5 damage and you can easily win the game in one turn with some splashy red spells just from the amount of damage that starts burning everyone.
I just got into commander recently, but im really enjoying playing with my Obuun, Mul Daya Ancestor deck. Landfall has definitely become one of my absolute favorite mechanics, and I cant wait to alter the deck some more once I obtain some more cards. I unfortunately lost most of my collection about a month ago, but I love commander now that I've gotten into it and can't wait until events are back so I can play competitive. Awesome video as always, hope you're doing well man.
Lazav, the multifarious is my favorite commander, it ends up being a combo deck but I loved the toolbox possibilities of being able to make him hexproof, indestructible, whatever I need him to be at the moment.
Right now my favorite commander is Sliver Overlord. Being able to pull any other sliver from your deck for 3 makes the deck a swiss army knife being able to adapt to almost any situation.
Easily, my favorite commander is Grothama, all Devouring. A few years back, my friend tried to get me into Magic via a Wurm tribal deck, and I just could not grasp it. After C18, I got myself Windgrace's Pre-Con Deck, and later decided.. I HAVE to make a jank Wurm tribal edh deck, and man it is genuinely one of the most fun builds I've ever done.
My favorite commander is kumena, tyrant of orazea My old lgs did a edh Christmas where people pulled names and then picked a commander for that person. Kumena was the one that was given to me... was also my 1st edh deck I built myself vs starting with a precon..
Goodness, this is cool! I started playing commander since last year. And so far my favorite commander is Jirina Kudro from Ruthless Regiment for her ability to stack 1/1 Human soldier tokens for each time I've cast a commander from the command zone.
My favorite commander is Danitha Capashen, Paragon. First strike, vigilance, lifelink and Aura and Equipment spells you cast cost 1 less to cast. All for only 3 CMC.
My favorite Commander if Vaevictis Asmadi, The Dire! His ability is very unique, and he's also the first non-mono colored commander I've ever built myself. His innate "spot removal" (more like Chaos Warp, honestly) makes him very interesting to build around. I build tokens and only permanents.
Trynn and Silvar are my favorite commanders by far. The idea of an aristocrat human tribal deck, that can also take advantage of cards like Winota is just so amazingly fun. And that's just the basic thing you can do with them. I just recently rebuilt the deck as a Marduk party deck and it has been pretty amazing so far.
My favorite commander is Bruvac. He’s newer, but my favorite deck in commander was my mill deck. Everyone rags on mill, but it’s the best thing since evolving wilds. Bruvac + maddening cacophony is pure bliss.
Just starting to get into magic and found the channel a couple weeks ago. Been loving the content and informative videos a lot!! As of now, my favorite commander would have to be Symbiotic Swarm because I’ve been pulled more to the black decks since I’ve started. Something about self sacrificing to get ahead just seems sadistic and awesome.
My favorite commander is Muldrotha, the Gravetide. As a strictly Commander player, I love how she is so flexible. I could build several separate and very different decks with my bae Muldrotha at the helm.
The Locust God!! Tokens and drawing cards are my favorite things in commander. I've been subscribed to Mystery Magic for a few months. They rock! Got a Kozilek, Butcher out of a 2015.
Great vid. Cool product. My favorite commander right now is Golos. I use him to cheat out lands which help with the multiple ways to cheat out the big bad Eldrazi and smash face.
2010/2011 was first commander I believe, also my favorite commander is Kaalia of the Vast; due a triple tribe threat( and as well Kaalia is close to my eldest daughter name "Kalista- which we call her Kali"
Mt favorite commander is Aminatou. You can get some insane value with the flickers and going infinite is super fast and easy if that's the power level of the table.
my favorite Planeswalker is Elspeth Tirel, When I first got into MTG back in '09 I didnt know how the game was played. So I left and came back the following year and I got a Zendikar Box for like and I gave my kid brother the Nizza that was in there, I bought my FIRST ever Scars of Mirrodin pack in like 2010/2011 and Elspeth was my first Planeswalker and Ive loved her ever since and over the years he's become a God Killer which is dope man.
Skadoosh! My favorite commander? Probably the first commander deck i made, Intet the dreamer. I always named the deck "Intet and friends sneaking into the movies." Due to the deck being about top deck manipulation to get big spells out cheap.
Big fan of Tishana, Voice of Thunder-you can play him merfolk tribal, but going wide with creatures makes him Voltron so quick 😳 just a cool and flavorful commander!
The Scarab God is one of my favorites as it's the first deck I ever made. I just started playing an Omnath Creation deck and it may be my favorite now.
I've never played commander. I really enjoyed watching one of these commander decks opened. I would probably say my favorite legendary "commander" I would want to try would be ghalta, primal hunger. I don't know if he would be a good one but dinosaurs are my favorite. Thanks for the video!
My favorite commander is Kaalia of the Vast! Low cmc and when she attacks putting out huge angels, demons, and dragons for free! Lightning greaves in my opening hand makes for a crazy game!
My favorite commander is syr gwyn hero of ashvale. Literally the first commander deck i made and i still use it today. I put so much time into building the deck to make it as strong as it is even though it’s in the least powerful colors for commander. By far a long time favorite and will always be kept
Favorite commander.. Lot of decks I enjoy playing but for commanders I will go with Rakdos, Lord of Riots. He’s one of the first decks I built and has gone through a lot of tweaks over the years, but his purpose has always been the same. Big pain: big gain!
My favorite commander is Niv-Mizzet, Parun. When I first got into magic I made a 60 card deck around him and then I made it into a commander deck when I started playing EDH. I'm so excited to put Krark, The Thumbless into the deck for extra spice! 😁
My favorite commander I own is Sisay, Weatherlight Captain! So much fun to play and very competitive. My 2nd would be Kenrith, the returned king. So many was to abuse his abilities!!! Fun times!!!
Ghalta Primal Hunger. It’s what got me into the format while allowing me to start as a battle crusier deck that I morphed into a mono green deck with a colorless spin with vehicles and Ugin spirit dragon.
My favorite commander is Zacama Primal Calamity because it pays for itself when it’s casted and you untap all your lands. The card has 3 abilities when combined with the right cards can end the game pretty quickly.
My favorite commander is Xantcha, Sleeper Agent. It’s a fun commander to give to others and watch other players hit other players with your commander while you sit back and control the board while drawing cards from xantcha
Just made my first commander deck yesterday, Ezuri Elves! My friend helped me make it for my birthday which is today! Thanks for another great video Joey, this mystery box was pretty legit.
Yarok the Desecrated is my favorite because it's my first commander deck that I built. I pulled the bad boy from a singles pack at GameStop and decided to finally build the deck. I took apart a jung precon since I don't have the biggest collection. Can't wait to try it out!
My favourite commander would have to be Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer. My first ever commander deck and I love surprising the table with my morphs, always in for a good time
My favourite and only commander is kadena, slinking sorcerer because of its morph abilities, it’s such a unique and different ability you don’t see too much and that’s why I love it. Love the vids
Visit their store. Products range from $33-$299.

thanks Joey!!!
19:43 Requiem for a Dream just turned 20!
Definitely buying one of these boxes as a Christmas gift for a friend
My favorite commander is purphoros, god of the Forge. The reason being is because its extremely hard to get rid of and in a token strategy it does soooooo much work to close out games fast. The only downside is that because it's only 1 color its limited on interaction. Because of that, I lean into purphoros's ability by adding support like fiery emancipation, torbran and creatures who add more tokens when they etb, like siege gang commander.
Im def buying one of these as a you survived 2020 gift for myself
My favorite commander is sliver overlord because I love how much fun it is to play and how much chaos it is to play when other people play slivers as well since the of slivers affect all slivers which is crazy and it is really hard to keep track of all the affects going on. Also love your videos and keep up the good work!!!
Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker is by far my favorite commander!! I love Graveyard shenanigans and Shirei definitely has its own unique way of doing that!
The last time I was this early you could still get commander decks out of mystery cubes
Karona, False god is by far my favorite commander!! I causes total political chaos when i cast it and then enchant it with a vow so it can't hit me as i sit back and ramp until I can kill someone with Door To Nothingness.
I remember when you cracked that Walmart mystery pack it was dope
Same
I still habitually check them even though I know the time has come and gone
I love using Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder as my commander. Doesn't win much but he's my favorite and have a lot of fun using it.

You stole my comment!
@@liadyosha8433 lol sorry! But hey, it's good to know there are other players who love animar just as much as I do!
That’s awesome dude!
I'm trying to build a -1-1 counter deck, and I've considered her, but Idk if she's good. Can you give me any tips on how to play her? Thanks!
Dude, Hapatra was my first EDH deck and also got the Liliana's PW deck. Still trying to improve it but it was really easy to play with her... Oh, and I exchanged a can of beer for that card lol
My friend just built a Haparta deck and she's so tough to play against
@@loganvain3 how is she good? Ik she makes snakes, but her other ability is kinda useless because she's a 2/2 and easily blocked.
My favorite current Commander is Tibor and Lumia, always gets overlooked, majority of the deck is 1 drop cantrips that will either wipe the board by giving Tibor deathtouch, or steal everything you own via willbreaker. so fun.
This is skadooshtastic. I considered buying one of these mystery crates. Now I know I’m gonna have to.
I started playing commander back in 2014 because of seeing these commander decks for sale in Walmart. Bought myself the green one and my son the white deck you opened in this video. To this day we still play these decks as they came out of the box. Would love to be able to have the blue deck to add to our arsenal.
My favorite is Teysa Karlov
I started playing when guilds of ravnica released and when ravnica allegiance came out i pulled her and loved the art and the abilities, it was later in my life where i discovered commander and the game just made me love it more
My favorite commander is the first commander deck I got.
Kynaios and Tyro of Meletis.
I just love the way that everyone gets to do something.
This seems like a pretty legit box
Great Video as always!
My favorite Commander at the Moment is Ghalta, as it's incredibly satisfying, bringing people down to - 20 health in one hit!
My favorite commander is Yarok the Desecrated playing a lands matter theme
My favorite commander is ezuri renegade leader because I love to play a ton of creatures with a ton of mana and trample over my opponents with elves.

Loving these mystery box openings. Prefer them to the sealed product openings. So many doing the sealed product openings. Keep up the great work!!!
My favorite Commander is Kaalia of the Vast. She was the first precon I bought and fell in love with the deck and EDH in general.
My favorite commander is Karona, false god: I like her as my commander because you get to trick people into thinking that it's a group hugs deck on the surface so that you can conspire underneath and unleash your cool combos when they least expect it. Mystery unpacking was awesome. Keep it up.

My favorite commander is still my first: Derevi, Empyreal Tactician. She just provides so much value, whether you play her competitively or not.
I recently got into Magic around the time Ikoria came out. My first Commander deck the homies helped me make was Nethroi, Apex of Death so it’ll always hold a special place in my heart lmao.
Even now I’m still trying to find ways to upgrade it.

My favorite tends to be the one i'm building at the time, which is currently Anowon, the Ruin Thief.
My first shot at a tribal deck and it's been fun. Simple, but fun.

favorite commander is alela, the provocateur .
My favorite commander is
kumena, tyrant of orazea
My old lgs did a edh Christmas where people pulled names and then picked a commander for that person.
Ghave. He was my first commander to make my deck building skills to a Joey Moss certified level. Love ya man
Trynn and Silvar are my favorite commanders by far. The idea of an aristocrat human tribal deck, that can also take advantage of cards like Winota is just so amazingly fun. And that's just the basic thing you can do with them. I just recently rebuilt the deck as a Marduk party deck and it has been pretty amazing so far.
Yuriko, the Tiger’s Shadow is my favorite commander because of the way she easily avoids commander tax and can use big splashy spells effectively!
My favorite commander is Bruvac. He’s newer, but my favorite deck in commander was my mill deck. Everyone rags on mill, but it’s the best thing since evolving wilds. Bruvac + maddening cacophony is pure bliss.
My favorite commander is Atraxa since you can proliferate on the end step and just build up counters and have big creatures to swing in with.
My favourite commander is zacama, primal calamity. It always has a powerful, immediate effect on the board as soon as it resolves.
Favorite commander currently is Phelddagrif! It's one of the funnest group hug decks I have ever played!
Favorite commander is K'rrik. Everything broken about magic in one single place. Thanks for the awesome video!
My favorite commander is Muldrotha, the Gravetide. As a strictly Commander player, I love how she is so flexible. I could build several separate and very different decks with my bae Muldrotha at the helm.
Lazav, the multifarious has to be my favourite commander. Turning them into a Phyrexian Dreadnought is priceless!
My favorite commander is atraxa the praedator of voices. I just love the art on it. And the fact that her deck is a butt ton of value is a huge plus.
Just started playing commander this year! So far one of my favorite commanders is Oona, queen of the fae. Because faerie rogues are dope!
My favorite commander is Edgar Markov, the flexibility with 3 colours for vampires is so helpful plus the token gen and plus 1 counters.
I've never played commander. I really enjoyed watching one of these commander decks opened. I would probably say my favorite legendary "commander" I would want to try would be ghalta, primal hunger. I don't know if he would be a good one but dinosaurs are my favorite. Thanks for the video!
My favorite Commander is Aminatou the Fate Shifter because I love the top deck manipulation and other crazy shenanigans she does!
My favorite is Melik, Izzet Paragon. Copying spells for free and playing your deck out has always been enjoyable
That teferi would be an awesome way for me to get into paper magic. I'm a big fan of blue decks; Circu and Pir are some of my favorite commanders.
Ur-Dragon is my favorite because I can cast him and swing as early as turn 3 or 4 and I often cast a Nicol Bolas or Ugin off his activation.
My first ever commander deck and I love surprising the table with my morphs, always in for a good time
Sun Quan, Lord of Wu is super dope. Horsemanship on mono blue creatures and artifacts that come alive to smash quick unavoidable damage!!
My favourite and only commander is kadena, slinking sorcerer because of its morph abilities, it’s such a unique and different ability you don’t see too much and that’s why I love it.
Love the vids
