As someone who grew up in Asia but now lives in the UK, it would be nice if there were a book on Asian sartorial fashion. Although I understand that traditional spots like Naples, London, Paris are the reference in men's fashion, places like Hong Kong, South Korea or Japan also have extraordinary tailors/craftsmen influenced by the European style but offering a distinct Asian interpretation . A lot of textiles like silk come from there which would be interesting to see what Asian craftsmen do with these textiles.

TH-cam videos are wonderful, but to really learn from them you have to take both mental and physical notes. At least I do. . All that said, a book as a further aid in learning is a must, I feel. You have to have something in hand to hold and to work with in that way. In January I will order the first book, " The Parisian Gentleman." I just look at your suit and shirt and collar and tie from today's video. So simple, but the visual power of that arrangement is really something. I don't know if TH-cam alone will ever get me to that level....and I want to get to that level. Thank you for the books, Hugo.
I paused the video and immediately went on searching for the books. I have managed to find brand new Parisian Gentleman first edition and purchased it. Eagerly waiting for it to come :) Thank you for your passion!
Dear sir, the two first are sold out (in the original size) since years, but are available in "compact editions". The last one, Shoes, is still available (less than 100 copies). Send an email to hugo@parisiangentleman.fr if you want to receive one. Cheers, Hugo
Hello Hugo. I found and fallen in love with your channel. After binge watching many of your videos I found them so interesting and a great resource for any young man. I was lucky enough to find your first book on line purchased it
I purchased 3 of your books I found them on line. First your original book and both the Italian and the Parisian Gentleman in the smaller editions. When 2 of them arrived yesterday, the original size Parisian and the smaller version Parisian my husband said why are you buying these books now? He thought I bought them for him. He’s 60 and does not have to wear suits for work. I laughed and said these are not for you. They are for our 6 year old grandson. One day he will appreciate them. I think he was a bit disappointed but I told him he can sit with him and read them together. I’m safe keeping the Original sized Parisian which is in prestige condition and I will give it to my grandson Wolf. Yes that’s his name Wolf - on his 16th birthday in 10 years. I loved the books. I can’t wait to receive the Italian Gentleman. I’m looking for that one also in the Original size to gift him the set as a collection. What a wonderful piece of art and it’s almost a encyclopedia full of of style and beauty. I wish as much care was taken with women’s clothing. Your books will let my grandson appreciate and learn as well. Thank you Hugo.
Please advise your publisher that a second smaller edition of the "Souliers" would not be a good idea, the shoes would be too small and I really hope I will find a few pairs just my size :)
Hi Hugo, I guess I am too late to order the English edition "Shoes, The Art of Male Footwear" and I could not find this book anywhere. Are you planning to re-print it or make a compact edition in the future? Thanks. :)

Hugo, i have written this before, but we really need you to educate us about fabrics and mills. Please, we are waiting for a book talking about fabric manufacturing, fabric styles, types, mills history etc. Merry Christmas! :)
Dear Theo, the first section of The Italian Gentleman is dedicated to Italian Mills (Zegna, VBC, Drago, Piacenza...). But you're right, this subject deserves more focus (probably not a book but a full episode). Cheers, Hugo
@@SARTORIALTALKS Hi Hugo and thanks for your reply. I already have the Italian Gentleman book and this wonderful coverage on Italian mills was actually the reason that i ask you this. I know this would be an enormous amount of work, but a dedicated book about fabrics from all over Europe (Italy, England, Scotland, France), containing also some basic technical details which would be necessary for someone to grab the importance of the fabric, would easily become a best seller. Thanks again!
G'Day Hugo and Team, just wanted to wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, from down in Australia! Merry Christmas Hugo! My grandmother has been gifting me one of your books every Christmas. This year, I'm re reading Parisian Gentleman in French 😁. Souliers next year.
Greetings Hugo, can you tell me which fabric producer is best from among these: Loro Piana, Doremuil, Drago Lanificio, Angelico, Lanificio F.ll Bacci, Leomaster, Tollegno, Carlo Barbera, Lanificio Di Pray, Marzotto, Fratelli Tallia Di Delfino. Thanks in advance

Thank you Hugo and Sonya. Have a happy Christmas 💖. Thanks to your videos and the knowledge both of you have provided, I am getting my first ever suit. It is very very economical (CDN $65) because I am student right now and it was the most affordable one.But hey I started on the right path. I will get it tailored and will have a good suit for just under 100.
Hi Hugo, is there a digital version of the book I can purchase? I say this with all respect, of course. I travel a lot, and I read a lot. I usually buy physical copies first, and then buy the digital version to make it easier for me to read while on the go. Being a Technology Consultant means that bringing numerous hard cover books is difficult (not impossible, but an issue nonetheless).
Unfortunately there are no digital versions of these books for the moment. And I don't think my publishers have this in mind for the next future (they just published the compact formats and it's a great success). Cheers, Hugo
Seasons greetings to you and yours Hugo I hope that this finds you well, may I just say I lucky enough to receive your first and second books as Christmas presents, and I am so happy to have them now in our home and will definitely be purchasing your third book also, from what I have seen so far in book number one it’s a truly amazing and beautifully put together piece of work so may I thank you for that, keep up your fantastic work, kind regards your friend Ryan.

Bonjour Hugo. Le livre The Parisian Gentleman en format compact sera-t-il traduit en français ? Par avance merci. Et bravo pour vos vidéos et ces merveilleux livres que vous nous proposez.
Dear Sir there is nothing like "the best tailor" on Savile Row. There are tailors who are more classical, others more daring others more traditional, others more progressive, it depends on your taste. Among my favorite I can quote Joe Morgan at Chittleborough & Morgan (very distinctive and progressive),his former cutter Michael Browne (extremely talented), Edward Sexton (off Savile Row, a legendary tailor) and Henry Poole (for the formal suits for example). But I also appreciate Davide Taub at Gieves & Hawkes and Richard Anderson. All my best, Hugo
Dear friend, you can order the two first on Amazon (or buy them at bookstores). For the book on shoes, if you want to pre-order the limited edition of the English version, you can send a request at hugo@parisiangentleman.fr Cheers, Hugo
In response to a commenter’s urging Hugo to write a book on the “American Gentleman” : Unfortunately, the American Gentleman is an endangered species. The average adult American male would rather go through life dressed like a 12 year old. I for one am taking advantage of that fact by snapping up near pristine dress shoes and other “gentlemen’s” attire on eBay and thrift stores in addition to picking up new suits. I’m an attorney who is in court regularly. Because of the “pan-dem-ic”, even the courts have relaxed their standard of dress by allowing attorneys to come into to court in wrinkled polo shirts, jeans, and soiled tennis shoes, no joke. It’s a stain on the profession, and it that seems to be the way it’s going, at least here in California. I choose to be the rebel by being the best dressed MoFo in the courtroom. Western Civilization and refined culture are is rapidly being flushed down the toilet during these insane times we’re all living in. I only recently discovered Hugo and his channel, and I love the fact that he’s embracing a better time of old through his passion for being a Refined Gentleman via not only his dress but in his reverence for gentility, a fading trait in modern society. I love you Hugo! Keep doing what you’re doing . . . til the bitter end. ☝️🥴🪡👞👔🎩

SARTORIAL TALKS we have a beautiful country for vacations ( especially islands ) and anciant civilation but no satorial tradition or significant artisans so its stange that you will come here.Athens becomes more and more famous for tourist but will never be like Paris which is the most beautiful city in the world in my opinion. If i can help you at something when you come please let me know.
@@porfirioroumpiroza It's because one of our directors is Greek and we just want to take advantage of his presence there to shoot episodes with a beautiful background, a beautiful light and enjoy your beautiful country at the same time. Thank you for your offer. DM me on my Instagram page parisian_gentleman so that we can stay in touch. Cheers, Hugo
Mr Hugo you are doing a great job,I wish I could have my own copies of your books, but unfortunately I cannot afford anyone of them, because I don’t have enough money to buy them. However ,I am very happy for you and maybe,I say maybe one day I will be able to have them.
Of course my friend you'll be able to have them. Best wishes Ahmed! Hugo
I have your first two, can not wait for your new one
Thank you my friend ! Hugo
Hi from Japan. I love to watch your videos and always I’m inspired by you. We love fashion and gentlemen’s style so much but I feel here it’s still not known well about French tailor, shoemaker, shirts maker, and other European great artisans. So I appreciate your great work, please keep it up :)
Great content Hugo! Do you have any specific good brands to recommend for dress shirts and pants?
I know this is an unusual question but what album/composition is the intro music from? It's beautiful! Keep up the great wardrobe work!
You'll find the answer here : vimeo.com/331568990

@@SARTORIALTALKS Wonderful, and thank you. It's fantastic. Thanks for all the great videos! Cant wait to watch more and read some of your books. Good day.
Is the French version of "The Parisian Gentleman" in the compact version on its way any time soon? I think I'd like the compact version simply because it's more handy.
Merry Christmas Hugo! My grandmother has been gifting me one of your books every Christmas. This year, I'm re reading Parisian Gentleman in French 😁. Souliers next year.
Your grandmother is a great lady ! Cheers Rory, Hugo
@@SARTORIALTALKS and how can I forget Sonya. Merry Christmas Sonya.

I went to church on Christmas day morning. After getting into my car to go home after the service I noticed that I was wearing the wrong trousers. I was wearing my Alfred Brown jacket with the trousers from my dinner jacket. I suppose it was sprezzatura. M.
Haha, or maybe an urgent need for new prescription spectacles ! Hugo
SARTORIAL TALKS: It was dark in my bedroom. M.
lol
Looking forward to your new book, i am sure it will be a success. Joyeux Noel Mr Jacomet a vous et votre famile , Mercy.
Happy Holidays to you too Robert ! Cheers, Hugo & Sonya
Dear Hugo, in one of your previous you talked about socks. I remember you mentioned Bresciani, but do you have some other names? I have some from Gallo. Many thanks in advance. Michele
Congratulations Hardik ! Happy Holidays, Hugo
Thank you Ryan for your loyalty and enthusiasm, it's always a pleasure to hear from you. Hugo

Just send an email to hugo@parisiangentleman.fr and confirm you want to be on the pre-order list for the limited edition of the shoe book in English. Cheers, Hugo
Salutations, Hugo! Is there an English version? Or is it underway? If not I will buy the French version. Je suis Belge (Néerlandophone) ... alors! ;-)

so maybe you’ll have the possibility to talk about my favourite, Charvet
We are planning an episode on ties (to be recorded in February). And Charvet will be featured of course (as it is featured in my first book). Cheers! Hugo

Bonjour Hugo.
Le livre The Parisian Gentleman en format compact sera-t-il traduit en français ?
Par avance merci.
Et bravo pour vos vidéos et ces merveilleux livres que vous nous proposez.
Just ordered "The Italian Gentleman" on Amazon.
Merry Christmas my friend
Merry Christmas ! Hugo
I enjoy reading in my Ipad more than having an actual book. But your books are not available in kindle or apple books format. Please help me.
I'm afraid I can't help you for the moment. Cheers! Hugo
@@SARTORIALTALKS I understand, however I hope that in the future you can help me.
Those lapels are Lapo Elkann-esque :-)
Just bought your book on shoes ...
Thank you sir! Merry Christmas. Hugo
Hello sir, who according to you is the best bespoke tailor in Savile Row?
@@SARTORIALTALKS Thanks very much sir.
What would you call your hairstyle?
Could you please tell me how to get these books?
Dear friend, you can order the two first on Amazon (or buy them at bookstores). For the book on shoes, if you want to pre-order the limited edition of the English version, you can send a request at hugo@parisiangentleman.fr
Cheers, Hugo
SARTORIAL TALKS thank you very much
My good sir
I'm not gonna lie
I couldn't hear you talk over those majestic lapels and that suit in general. Nonetheless, great content
Is the American Gentlemen underway, or is that pushing it? 😆
First! Marry Christmas, Hugo!
First indeed! Merry Christmas my friend, Hugo
Joyeux Noël!

the size of your lapels can sew a whole suit for a new born. Anyway, where is the link to buy the book?
Which one my friend ? And yes i admit I went a little bit far with these lapels :) Hugo
SARTORIAL TALKS all the books. I want all In my living room.
SARTORIAL TALKS I love the lapels. It’s also says “my suit is bespoke” there is nothing like this on a rack in any store.
@@Ahoto_papa_bi Send me an email at hugo@parisiangentleman.fr with this request (and also your country of residence). Cheers, Hugo
In response to a commenter’s urging Hugo to write a book on the “American Gentleman” :
Unfortunately, the American Gentleman is an endangered species. ☝️🥴🪡👞👔🎩
