Back then, Arctic Monkeys had a similar level of success as Oasis with their first two albums. But unlike Oasis, they were not "instant" rock stars. They came across as raw and naive and unprepared for rock star life. Alex didn't have that much star quality or charisma or sexiness... but look at him now!
