- Join me as we tour the Viking Sea from Viking Cruises. The Viking sea is an ocean cruise ship which holds 930 passengers. I was lucky to be invited by Viking to cruise on her in pursuit of the 'midnight sun'. The cruise took us to the top of Norway where we visited Tromso, Molde, Geiranger and Bergen.
This was my first Viking cruise and I was blown away by the ship, the service and the food! The attention to detail onboard was unlike anything I've ever seen on a ship before.

Wonderful initial tour of what appears to be a very modern and very bright ship. I particularly liked the blankets, which brought a certain amount of homeliness to everything.

This is such a nice cruise, reminds me of a very nice and new Hilton hotel, you can almost smell the vídeo. Never been on a cruise but this looks perfect. Love your work!

I always cruise on smaller ships. You feel more like a guest than just a number. This ship seems very clinical to me rather than homely. Interesting video as always. well done

@@happytraveller2122 We were a little dissappointed as the industry was just starting out and we had really splurged but I believe that they really tried just never was any follow-up through Viking. The cruise and what we saw was worth it but next time we will stay in a regular room.

Ooo that sounds cool! I just got back from a baltic cruise on Marella, it was absolutely amazing but very different to Viking! 😂👍🏼 Where was your favorite place on the baltic cruise??
We really liked Bergen (allbeit expensive), Norway and really enjoyed Tallin, Estonia.

We were lucky. Beautiful, sunny warm days (we got i a day ealry, and then stayed 2 there with ship) It was 26C, very ubusual for Bergen.

i cruised three times between australia and england in the 70's but ships were not so posh in those days.we are hoping to go on a cruise next year x

Hi Emma...weve booked a cruise through viking. Can i ask...is the piano music in the atrium loud? It kind of sounds a bit intrusive ...? My partner is hearing impaired and background music which is too loud can render conversation impossible . Be interested to hear your thoughts. Thank you
Starting Iceland cruise on the Jupiter August 2021. First ocean with Viking after doing 6 rivers with them. We have never done a large cruise ship and NEVER will. 5000 / 6000 drunks and kids make me sick to think about.
We'll be doing the 30 day cruise 'Mumbai through the Mediterranean passage in April 2020' on the Viking Sun. Looking forward to it. Does this ship have a heated swimming pool? How about live music?
The spa pool is the only one that stays heated during the entire trip. However I think they can change the temperature of all of the outdoor pools depending on your destination. One video I watched the guy went to Northern Norway and he jumped in the outdoor infinity edge pool, and looked like he wasn't even freezing. Almost every single night they have the Viking singers sing in the main theater that Emma showed. It's usually like Abba, Grease, or Broadway style songs. The singers are also the same people that get you prepared to leave the ship for your shore excursions. In Torshavn they have a band/live music every single night after the show in the theater. Also depending on the destination of your cruise, they might bring on a local band or singers from one of the ports that you stop in. The ship pianist or violinist will also play in the atrium on floor 1, and sometimes they will have them play in the Explorer's Lounge in the front of the ship.

Hey Viv! Think it's almost impossible to compare them, the cruise experience is completely different. I loved Britannia and loved Viking, I think I prefer the design of Viking but preferred the entertainment on Britannia. They're completely different products really, can't compare. Sorry! Haha.

I really like that cruise ship. I’ve never been on one the one... many of them seem to be too colorful too crowded and just it looks like they’re made for children. Don’t they have cruises for people who like to dress nice relax...

Yesss!! It was absolutely crazy. Its getting darker now and people are complaining about it in the UK, all I can think about is those people in Norway because it'll literally be dark for two months. Have you ever visited Norway? Amazing place.
