Stop over reacting guys, it was doing so from stress. If the creature was being choked, there would be much more of a struggle/noise/expression.
You can pick up practically any lizard, bird, or rodent that is wild, and it will do this exact response. It's so that it would be able to quickly snap and bite if you get into range.

I've got nothing against them being hunted as long as its done humanely and quickly. Having owned an iguana of similar size to this as a pet for years I know that they aren't that bad once caught, they settle down once handled unless stressed or being hurt.

I saw one in st Thomas a few weeks back and it was huge. It also had a double tail growing out of it..thing was very weird looking.
Had an Iguana growing up named “Oogie”….he was trained and would hang out on top of the couch while me and my buddies got stoned…he got massive and a lady who ran a reptile rehabilitation center took him and he lived out his life as King Dingaling in a huge enclosure
