- Yet another episode filled with beautiful orchid flowers while we discuss orchid care. My What’s In Bloom is my favorite of all episodes because I get to share all my lovely blooms in the greenhouses. July has opened up some amazing flowers and Incant wait to bring them to your home. Although I show mainly Dendrobiums on this episode, there is always plenty of other orchids I like to share. Also check out a thrips-eating wasp I discovered on my orchids. #orchid #orchidculture #orchidcare #floweringplant #greenhousetour #blooms #plants #garden #bloomorchids

Nelson, your plants are so healthy and happy because of your tender loving care. Just beautiful. I loved the sound of the rain. So fitting for your grow space
Thank you Christine. That’s very sweet of you to say. Mother Nature always adds some beautiful soundtracks to my videos. 🍃
With all the uncertainty going on in the world today, it is soooo calming to get away and watch Nature Nel. Thank you for sharing your beautiful orchid babies ❤️.
You are so welcome. I’m glad my channel brings light and warmth to your home. You are so kind. 💚🙏🏼🤗
Loving all the songs of Nature! Absolutely amazing blooms as always Nelson and thank you for taking us along!
Thank you Curlene. Nature has a way of always adding beautiful sound effects to my videos.
Wow, stunning blooms as always. The view in the end of your closing looked like you were standing in front of a background pic real 3D that was awesome to see.
I love that background. It looks so good on film. Thank you for noticing. Appreciate your feedbacks. 💚🙏🏼🤗
I enjoyed the show Nelson😌🙌💖That Phalaenopsis pulcherrima is a species with ongoing conservation efforts🙏💖Wowzers, your Vandas are spectacular😱💞💞💞
Glad you enjoyed it. I got that pulcherrima about 3 years ago when I started the channel. It’s a very slow grower. I do have another 2 pulcherrimas that I got about 5 years ago in the flea market. They used to be very popular here. You don’t see them as much anymore.
Hola nelson, adoro tus videos........wuaoooo tu tienes un grandioso paraiso, abrazos.
Mil gracias. 💚🙏🏼🤗
Super video !!!! very relaxing..... and AWESOME blooms 😃
Many thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
Your Dendrobiums are amazing. I wish I had the space to grow some. ❤ thank you for another great video to enjoy with my morning coffee. 🇨🇦
They do grow tall. You would need to purchase the smaller cane Dendrobium. They even have minis.
Your videos look right out of Nat Geo! Great garden and amazing blooms as always!!!
Ha! I love that Alejandro. That’s what I’m always saying. I want it to look like a documentary on orchids like NatGeo. I appreciate that comment very much. 🙏🏼
Bello está todo Nel ❤💚💚💚💚👍
💚
Hi Nelson, your new greenhouse looks better everyday the plants look to be very happy! Beautiful blooms! You can actually see the love!
Thanks so much. I feel the same about the orchids. Ever since they moved in the new addition is like they changed over night. I can truly see them happier. Thanks for noticing the same. 🙏🏼🤗
Your setup is a dream! Thank You for sharing
Thank you! 🙏
Nelson I loved all the background noises, the chicken and the rains... It reminded me of my childhood visit to grandma's house in the country side. Loved all the beautiful blooms!
Glad you enjoyed it. I have a contract with Mother Nature. She has a great soundtrack for my videos. 🤗🍃💚
Nelson, an inspiring array, as always! You've arranged your new greenhouse as an incredible showroom. Thanks for including the mini grammatophyllum -- reminded me to order one. Got one of the last ones from Palmer in Bradenton, online. Wish it luck in NY! Be well.
So nice of you. Thank you! I love the extension. It’s helping allot with the Vandas and Cattleyas. The Grammataphyllum mini is so awesome. It blooms continuously. Love it!!!😍
Saw my first antler dend at Krull Smith last week and definitely on my list now! They had one that the colors make it look like jewels when the light hits it!
Dendrobiums can become a big obsession. I have been binging on them this year.
I’m so jealous of your tree display! Please link the video of making it
Love the sound of rain , roosters and mourning doves. And seeing the cats and of course the beautiful flowers. 4 cats in the house is not to many.....we have the same.
It’s funny cause once I added the 4th kitten I felt like it really didn’t feel like it was too much.
Hi Nelson, can’t say enough about the beauty of all ur orchids, takes ur breath away . And again bc I’ve said it before just love the addition. Have to lol when u talk about the stinky ones. Thank you💚💚💚
Thank you Linda! I have my Bulbophyllum philodendron in bloom. Now that’s stinky. 😷
You should try Motes Pixie Dust, I have 2 in my med size wardian case and they're always in bloom plus they stay small and would be an awesome addition to your Vanda Branches..mine are just hanging by a wire, roots go down about 24 inches to the bottom tray but don't seem to get much longer. I absolutely love them, one is an orange color, the other more green in color. And sorry to be late again, please tell my Dr. to let me have your video days away from his clutches. 😂😅
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 keeping it green Nelson....💚
I will look into getting one for my mini Vanda sculpture. I do love the pixie dust colors. Yellow and pink are a great combo in orchids. Thanks for the recommendation.
It was soooo enjoyable. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
You are doing a fantastic job ❤
Thank you so much!
Thankyou thankyou. I have enjoyed walking with you in your green house full of blooms.so.happy😅
Glad you enjoy the tours. 🤗
❤ bellas todas . El gato 🐈 comiendo orquídeas 🫣
Ha! Ha! Ha! Esa gatita es comiquísima.
Seeing all your beautiful orchids is a nice escape so thank you for sharing your greenhouse and yard with us ❤. I am a recent subscriber so don’t know if you have ever talked about what measures you take to protect all your “babies” when a tropical storm or hurricane is approaching south Florida. Thanks! 😊
Welcome aboard! Thank you for joining the channel. I don’t ever talk about the “H” word because I’ve had my share of destruction and chaos due to hurricanes. But when it does arise, I bring all my orchids inside my enclosed terrace that protected by a wall of Areca palms. Areca palms are great for hurricane shielding. Unfortunately we live in a state prone to crazy weather. We enjoy our outdoors as much as we can. But when tragedy strikes, we just rebuild again.
@@naturenel thanks for replying! I understand completely about destructive tropical weather. We have dealt with plenty of storms and damage here in east central FL and some hard winter freezes as well. Moving 15+ orchids indoors is easy compared to the size of your collection! 🙏 🩷
Wonderful flowers, always a pleasure. Nelson your collection has really grown. I don’t know how you keep up with them. The new greenhouse is awesome!
I ask myself that all the time. How I. The world am I keeping all this balanced. lol!
Your plants are magnificent! They sure are loving the rain too. Stay well.....
⛈️🤗💚
Wow Nelson the Camera and Audio is just amazing this episode!!! ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for the feedback. I love to hear it from you guys to see how you guys receive the imagery on your side. I did use a different function.
Fantastic !!!!!fantastic !!!!flowering orchids, I really enjoyed the tour, thank you for sharing
🎉happy 4 July🇺🇸
Thank you! You too!🙏🏼🤗💚
Absolutely stunning 😍, we're having a really unusual cool summer here in Wales this year. My Dendrobiums are doing really well this summer also. Hope you guys are all well ❤❤❤ 🇬🇧
Same here. We had a heatwave during the international orchid show and then it just kind of cooled down. Today is actually pleasant outside for July. My orchids are in heaven.
Yeah! What's in bloom....❤😊 It's pouring here too, in OKC, and we really need it. Thanks Nel.
Glad you enjoyed it on a rainy day. 💚
Too funny it's pouring outside up here (Ohio) too while I'm watching your video. I love all the color. Thank you.
Oh wow! What a coincidence.
Hi Nelson all so beautiful !thank you for sharing 😍🌱🌱🌱
💚💚💚
WOW. What a fantastic surprise to see one of your delightfully entertaining videos to watch this July 4th morning. I'm so happy about this!!! Got the coffee and I'm in my favorite chair walking through the garden with you. FYI....I have my sun orchids in large clay pots filled with lava rock or stalite. I moved them into our lanai into our shade cloth covered growing area. They haven't flowered, but I am now hopeful. They were just not looking healthy out in the heat/sun that we are experiencing here now (due to climate change). They are much healthier under the shade cloth. Thanks for sharing another great video with us.
Yup! The sun has been very intense on the orchids. My Vandas were not happy in the heat. The sun orchids were dehydrating. But now everything seems happier and greener. I’m happy to see new spikes growing in the new area.
Beautiful Blooms. Thanks for sharing. Dendrobiums and phals are my favorite orchids. Thanks and make it a great day.💕🙏
So nice of you. 🤗💚
The orchid at 6:25 looks to be a Psychilis hyrbid. Probably a hybrid with Psychilis macconnelliae in the parentage.
You may be on the right track. Thank you!
Beautiful ❤is not another word for describing well done Nelson
Thank you Yadira. This summer has been a very special summer of blooms. Aside from the heat, the orchids seem to be so happy.
Beautiful like always! Love it 😍
Thank you!! 😊
Gorgeous orchids!!!!!
How often do you fertilise them?
Thank you. I usually feed monthly.
Great blooms
💚
I added a Mimi Palmer to my collection because you always talk about its beautiful fragrance. I do love that fragrance. Thanks. I also have a Mokara Sunspot in full sun in my courtyard. It has been there for nearly 4 years but not bloomed yet. Don't know what's wrong
I’m still testing it out. So far so good. It’s a never ending learning experience with orchids.
Feliz 4 de Julio ! ❤
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Do not apologize for the rain drop sound. I grew up on a tobacco farm. It brings back pleasant summer memories. Sometimes if a short rain popped up while we were in the field, it cooled everything off and it felt so good and refreshing. I actually love a good walk in the rain 🌧️.
I do love the sound of pouring rain and thunder. 🤗⛈️
Lovely bloomz❤🇯🇲
Hi Nelson! Great video and beautiful blooms. That big phal with leaf damage looks like thripe damGe to me. That's exactly what mine look like when thripes attack the crown. Anyway, just thought I'd mention it, just in case. Thanks for the amazing video!
Thank you.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks!
Thank you so much Patricia. 🫶🏼🤗💚

How large a the growths on the Broughtonia lindenii? I have one to. And indeed not fast growing.
This one I’ve had for 3 years. It’s a good bloomer but a slow grower.
Nelsontanto tu como tus orquideas son maravillosas ❤
Gracias!🤗
Lots of Dendrobium and Vandas in bloom!
49:21 Of course the Nelson orchid needed to make an appearance.
50:22 🫢
🤗 The Bulbophyllum is almost completely open.
Please show us how you mix Epson salt 😊
It’s very easy to mix. Buy regular epson salt with no fragrance. Mix 2 tsp to a gallon of water. Use a sprayer and simply spray the entire plant from top to bottom.
@@naturenel thanks so much
Joven Nelson, me gustaría que no regalará algún vídeo en español, son tan bellos
It's Vanda Wirut x Gordon Dillon.
Thanks so much. 🙏🏼
Great collection!

6:10 I think this is a psychilis - or a cross
You are the second person to refer it as psychillis. I believe so as well. Thank you!🙏🏼
