Completely agree with you. I commented something very similar on another video where I wrote that Tessa launches herself into a lot of lifts and that takes a lot of leg and core strength to do. That, of course, doesn't take anything away from Scott as he shows his strength and balance in his ability to control her momentum as well as when he does stationary lifts and holds. To me, this differentiates them from other Ice Dancers in that theirs is an equal partnership in both their athleticism and artistry.

This performance never gets "old". Tessa and Scott are once in a lifetime pairs skaters and I doubt there will be others that surpass them anytime soon!
At the Saskatoon show, the second the first picture showed up of the intro there was a chorus of ‘Aww’s coming from the crowd. Someone also screamed ‘GET MARRIED’ like two seconds before the lights hit for Moulin Rouge
I was there in Toronto and oh my god I still can't believe I finally got to witness that amazing routine in person. I remember watching it during the Olympics and thinking "I wish I was there to watch". Hands down one of my all time favourite couple routines.

I'm 64, have watched many Olympics and many ice skaters but have never seen a pair like these two. I agree with 66joydipi - I get chills when I watch them skate - especially this routine. Does anyone but me thin Tessa looks a bit like Nicole Kidman?

Beautiful thanks for posting this. I was there and it was so exciting and wonderful to watch. I'm thinking this is Tessa's Team Gold Moulin Rouge Dress. I just love all the versions of this outfit.
I LOVE these two and they are no doubt huge crowd pleasers! They know exactly how to grab and keep hold of an audience, and they’re quite talented performers/actor/actress. What I can’t somehow help though is.....I often find my mind wandering back to my favorite pairs skaters (pairs figure skating, as opposed to ice dancing that Scott and Tessa do).....G & G. Katia Gordeeva & the late, great Sergei Grinkov. If you don’t know them, look them up here on TH-cam. I guarantee it won’t be a waste of your time. Some (most?) of you may be too young to even remember them, but even if you’re very young, if you’re a real honest to God fan of the sport, you HAVE to know of the brilliant G & G..💞. And I can’t help but wonder what they’d be like if they were still skating together today....if Sergei were still alive... Because whereas Scott & Tessa are undoubtedly beautiful, exciting, thrilling, sensual, and almost sexual in their skating style.......G & G were pure, genuine, true, romantic love in theirs..💞. Their love story was real, and it translated so very naturally and beautifully to the ice. Like I said, it’s hard for me to watch these two talented performers and not think, at least briefly, of the incomparable G & G. I love Scott & Tessa. But I still miss G & G...😢. I always will.
I can go even further back in time and remember the Protopopovs. Not to be unkind but they were not as photogenic as V/M or G/G but once they took the ice, their performances were breathtaking.

I love the routine but i thought she wasnt supposed to do any form of flips of jumps that put strain on her calves more than skating already does after she had her surgeries
As someone else on the internet has said, the acting part of Scott & Tessa's performances is Oscar worthy...but it is acting. Scott needs a lady of his personality type: stoic, reserved, frosty, dour. Tessa's warmth would be uncomfortable for Scott, so Scott has a lady named Cassandra, who is obviously of Scott's personality type. Scott has quite a temper (when he absolutely has to show emotion) and this was seen at one of their post Olympic press conferences. When asked a question that he didn't want to answer, Scott snarled "It's none of your business", before regaining his composure. In a real relationship with Tessa, Scott's temper would be cause for concern. Off the ice, Tessa deserves better: somebody nicer. She'll easily find somebody.
Before typing this non-objective comment, you should have learned a little bit more about T&S. Yes, he has a temper, but he also , as Tessa said, the most generous, selfless, caring and warm person she has ever known. So, shut up.
