A cozy festive experience...
This hotel was a fab choice during the Christmas period/New Year.
I like to visit various places abroad with family and friends and when I'm at a hotel I feel I'm liking the look of - I then enjoy making a creative video for other guests to watch and see for themselves. This is my festive version of Topkapi from what I experienced and got to see...
Soon as we arrived our bags were kept safe and ready to be delivered to our room.
The reception team were briliiant. They welcomed us and were very swift with checking us in. They explained everything, including food times etc.
Gamze Hanim and Olga Hanim were very helpful, always smiling and very welcoming. They were very understanding and helpful. All the reception staff were genuinly welcoming and lovely.
Fatima and the Guest Relations team were very supportive. They were keen to listen and help where possible. Again genuinly lovely people and a credit to the Swandor Team.
I will extend to say that the Management team expect to give the best service to their guests for sure and all staff at Swandor Topkapi were happy to help and made our stay very nice. Thank you.
We had a spacious lovely room. There were allsorts of little amenities such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, scrub pads, ear buds etc. Even the mini fridge was stocked up with water and cans of ice cold soft drinks. Everyday these were replenished. A bonus when its free.
There were robes and slipper available too along with a safe.
We liked the patiserie with icecream (including gelato and whippy), various teas and coffee and allsorts of cakes. The milkcake was our personal fave!
The hotel had a host of festive food prepared. Roast turkey along with all the trimmings including gravy to the max. There was so much variety in the 'all inclusive buffet' as you will see in the video. There was so much more that I didnt get to capture as then the video would have been too long! I can tell Swandor Topkapi and the Head Chef pride on satisfying their guests with a fantastic array of food delights. Lots of detail to their cooking and the flavours and very very tasty. Top notch! We were spoilt for choice on what to have. Too much tastilicious options!
Not to forget the lamb or chicken donner/shwarma! One of the best I've had. Nice and crispy too. Complimented with garlic yoghurt sauce and various others including a spicey sweet thai chilli type...my fave!
Fresh orange juice (with bits) is always served 24hours!! Chilled and fresh.
You are able to help yourself to the coffee machine - and most had an auto steam feature at the end.
Talking of 24hours....! The food is constant. I was shocked to know that there is a section where food is always there even if you get pekish at 2.30am in the night! Not just soup and some bread rolls with a few salad items but actual hot food being topped up regularly!
The entertainment in the evening was fab with a live act every night.
Despite it not being as warm as spring/summer months there was still an outdoor pool which was heated. Now thats a proper bonus as I've not yet been to a hotel that has an outdoor pool open during the colder months.
Indoor pool was rather busy too.
The lobby areas were nice - a space to winde down and relax. A vibrant festive scene too. The upstairs was nice and toasty to relax and chill with family and friends.
This is a fantastic resort. Despite not everything being opened during the festive season - there was still so much on offer. Infact lots still going on. So much spaces to explore and enjoy. Its a huge resort for sure...yes lots of luxury features!
The kidsclub is simply awesome for the little ones. Lots of activities and fun stuff. They even have a sleep area! Now that's different.
I have to be honest I don't think we could afford to stay here during the Spring/Summer months when its full on prime time! I can imagine it being simply awesome with so so much excitement, including the aquapark and all pools etc being open. Plus so many more spaces being opened. Guests will be thrilled.
It normally doesnt come up on our budget search. But we managed to find a good deal and appreciated what was on offer during our stay towards the end of 2024.
Theres defo so much detail in making this resort a fantastic choice.
