I have an IQ2 panel that will only turn on if the battery is unplugged, changed batteries and it does the same thing. Would that indicate that the charging circuit is bad in the panel?
Does changing this battery fix the message "Device low battery (The Temperature) indicates that the battery charge is low; the battery may be unable to recharge, is damaged, and/or needs to be replaced.?"
I apologize the video wasn't more clear and I imagine you are trying to open your IQ Panel 2 which is already mounted. If so, you should be able to just remove the one bottom screw (which is accessible as it faces the ground not the wall) and then press into the two white tabs on the bottom corners to remove the front panel from the back plate (assuming the installer didn't install the top two screws that hold the front panel to the back plate as those would be the ones you can't access while its mounted). If you can't get the front panel removed after removing the bottom screw and pressing the tabs (because those top screws were installed) hopefully your installer mounted the wall mount screws for the back plate using the screw holes that allow you to push the panel upwards and then out from the wall first before needing to access the screws to open the panel.
If you have the panel mounted to the wall, then you won't have the two top screws, you'll only have the bottom set screw. Not everyone will wall mount the panel, though. At one point, the panel came from the factory with the top two screws, as well as the bottom screw installed. For those customers who will desk mount, using the included desk mount kickstand, they would need to remove those screws in addition to the bottom screw in order to change the battery.
Unfortunately a screen replacement is not something we'd have much information on as we do not provide those types of services. If your systems screen is defective you're going to want to contact the seller to see if this qualifies for a replacement. If the screen had been damaged, you can look into hardware repair shops but more than likely you'd end up purchasing a new system to replace the damaged one you have.
Is it possible to see the battery life / or battery life cycle?

Do you have to alert your alarm companies monitoring station before powering down your the Qolsys IQ Panel 2?
That would be best to ask your monitoring company, but it shouldn't be needed for a backup replacement.
@@traviscox7336 Just curious, I didn't know if the panel would send them a tamper alarm.
@@myopinionpal8880 i want to know that too.

Where do I get the new battery at
Here is a link to purchase the battery: www.alarmgrid.com/products/qolsys-iq2-battery
How do i know if i need to replace it, my panel beeps every 30 min, would that be the alert indicating the battery needs to be replaced?
For low battery issues, it is best to consult with your installer or dealer. Issues could be related to power, the panel itself, or battery.
Hi
And the iqPanel 4 ?
Regards
Should be a very similar process.
How the heck do you remove screws that face the wall?

Flat head? Phillips? Allen???
@@willmaxwell2184 these are Phillips head screws
Replaced battery thermostat still not changing temperature.
I would try to restart the thermostat or exclude and include it back.
@@traviscox7336 It didn't work
It would be helpful if you told people which is actual battery needed, before removing everything.

Don’t forget to replace the screws!
