My mind is honestly blown watching this. I've seen Andy C a couple of times before, but to see him mix is an entirely new experience. The man is a genius. The blends, the transitions, the doubles, the triples: everything is so seemless.
Practice and more practice.. andy djs at home for hours on end ..he done said he will take one track and mix it with numerous tracks to get the right one and them repeat ..in effect the perfect set ..and he knows his keys too ie g f etcc

I heard so many negative things said about this set before i listened for myself.. Well.., what can i say apart from shame on all of you haters.. Man's a legend in the scene and a pioneer.. if your not old enough to have experienced this man in the clubs from the beginning, then sadly you missed out on truly memorable times... technology has moved on since then and this guy has moved on with it, but one step ahead as always... when it comes to dnb mixing, this guy is possessed in a truly great way.. respect is due as always mr Andy C !!!!

All true, however, I have to say that his tune selection has gone downhill in the last 10 years or so. A lot of the tunes he plays now are cheesy as hell. A suppose that might just be indicative of the D&B scene these days. His skills are unparalleled though, I just don't feel half of the tunes he plays these days.

First saw andy back in 03 in manchester which was an unbelievebale dnb scene back then still check in to see whats up and my god the man is THE god, unreal dj ability.
I wrote this comment before fhinishing the whole set. He actually finished on HC Return of forever which was the first tune that got me into DNB... legend.
In my opinion Andy is the best DJ in the world. It's not just about mixing music, it's the track selection that Andy is a master off.
You won't see him hyping the crowd by fist pumping the air or clapping, his mixing talent gets the crowd going.

I just. Dont..how this man mixes so seamlessly, so flawlessly, every blend is so well thought out, all while beat matching as well. Even how quickly he preps the deck for the next track. He must have his playlist pre organised in one playlist and then quickly selecting the next track with his controller. No doubt he is The Donfather.

@@glenamo Depends, in 1 year he got a main playlist for clubs, a different one for festivals, but on the Xoyo residency was different every week, put on count is still human and travel the whole planet for festival season and europe almost non stop. I went to Virus rec 18 year birthday at the steelyard and it was announced as a special guest the same night and done 1 hour neurofunk set and it was insane

He used to do that even when he was djing with only vinyl. (non digital.)

21 years I have been blessed with jungle and Dnb and I have seen Andy many times in Toronto or WEMF and he has always been the one who absolutely kills it time and time again this style is identical to none !

A legend in the game. Still one of the best live DnB DJ's ever - used to call his sets 'relentless' back in the early 2000s, have fond memories of one of those sets at Creamfields (2005 or 06 maybe). You keep going, sir.

Rowsell I know this is tedious question that’s been asked a zillion times, but - cue points and years of practice aside - how does he beat match so perfectly for 100 or so tunes with virtually no touching of the decks. For one he must be very, very good at timing the release. The majority of drum and bass songs are within a smaller divergence of tempo now, maybe 172 - 175, compared to my old days. But still, it’s incredible.
@@benashford I guess it was a pré recorded set. He's using Serato/or Traktor maybe, so he must have prepared everything before. I donno if I'm clear or right, but that's how I understand it ^^
