Даже такой профессионал в музыке как Игорь Крутой выступая на заключительном этапе ШоуМаскГоОн выразил практически ту же мысль сказав, что Диана приучила его к тому что она всегда неожиданна и на этом заключительном этапе исполняя Personsal Jesus она только утвердила его в этом мнении.
Вчера я впервые был на живом концерте Дианы Анкудиновой (она первый раз выступала в нашем городе), и не смотря на то что весь ее репертуар я знаю от А до Я, живой концерт был не сравним с записями из Ютуба, а даже те песни которые я прослушивал десятки раз прозвучали по иному, как то вокально свежо, другими словами неожиданно. Выходя с концерта я спросил свою жену, которая не являлась фанаткой Дианы Анкудиновой: "Когда Диана снова приедет к нам с концертом пойдешь?" Ответ: "Что за вопрос?"

Yes, it is a talent show, from Russia, called "You Are Super". However, the show was designed so that children from deprived backgrounds had an opportunity to show off their talents. This performance was from early 2019 when Diana was 15 (born 31st May 2003). Diana actually competed on the show twice, firstly in 2018, which she won easily and then again in 2019 when she was invited back, along with other previous winners and finalists, for a "Grand Prix" - she won again.

This was the first song I ever saw from Diana Ankudinova (age 15). I was blown away. I've been following her ever since and am constantly blown away by how she has from a young age mastered all the skills of vocal performance - and with that unique rich tone she is just unmatched.

As classified a Dramatic Contralto which is the lowest female singing voice and consider her at 15 is totally awesome.Her performance ability is off the charts and you will be blown away the more you hear her.Derniere Danse is a cover in French also Crow and Blizzard two songs in Russian but her performance of Rechenka is totally brilliant.Enjoy the trip

She released Falling in Love (Elvis song) less then a year ago, she was 18 years old. She has improved and I think Falling in Love is her best yet, you should check that out, as well Rechenka, she was 14 when she did that one. I really enjoyed your reaction to Diana. Diana is a very very rare dramatic contralto the lowest deepest darkest female voice type. She was only 15 years old at the time of this performance and yes she did win. Diana is able to sing with polyphonic overtones which makes her voice so special and unique. At the age of three in the middle of Russia's far Eastern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly.
A massage therapist who visited the orphanage trying to help kids, was the first to recognize something special in this little girl, and eventually adopted her. Diana was sent for singing lessons because it was thought that this might help her learn to speak without impediment. Only two years later she started singing in local theater, and in street plays and performances. And soon after was entered in a Russian TV music competition for disadvantaged children. By the age of 10 she was winning local competitions, singing on live TV shows, and her songs started showing up on TH-cam.
A year ago, at the age of 18, her first performance during a new Russian television competition with several other renowned performers, has gone viral and has garnered hundreds of TH-cam 'reaction' videos, and millions of viewers. Her first song at the competition, an entirely new take on Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling in Love with You' has been called mesmerizing, transcendental and other-worldly...it highlights her uniquely deep voice, and effortless range from low to high, along with her trademark dramatic and passionate interpretation. Certain artists do have the ability to do covers that are better than the originals. Not every time, no. But you should not be surprised when they pull it off. The one's currently performing who can do that include this one (Diana Ankudinova,) Dimash Kudaibergen and Angelina Jordan (not a complete list.)
Side note: "Diana Ankudinova" is pronounced Dee ON ah On koo DEEN ah vuh (stress goes on the syllables in all caps.)

(I am not a professional but I have compiled information found on Diana's official website, in interviews and in reactions from singers and musicians)
Your astonishment is not exceptional! Diana is an unique contralto (dramatic contralto) her comfort range is C3-C6 but in constant evolution. Diana uses many vocal techniques rarely used in pop music (like overtones, yodel, and some from lyric chant....). The one that seems to amaze people the most is multitonal (polyphonic) voice. The root notes are enriched with powerful harmonics which can give the impression that there are several overlapping voices or an artificial effect which gives this result.
This technique is used in Slavic folk music, like Bulgarian vocal groups or artists like Pelageya (th-cam.com/users/OlegSemyonov73videos), the Russian folk diva. I cannot tell you exactly how these artists achieve this result, I was just told that it is linked to the simultaneous use of the different resonators of the human body and that such a mastery of the voice and of the breath with such a fluidity requires years of work, Diana has been singing on stage and has been taking singing and performing arts lessons since the age of 6!
She has become famous in the broadcast "You're Great!" ("You are Super"), a song contest reserved for children who have had a difficult start in life. This is the case of Diana who was mistreated and ended up in an orphanage at 3 years old.
In her shows, Diana participates in the direction, direction and arrangements of her performances. She is a complete artist.
In addition, until the recent past her costumes were often designed and sewn by her mother and grandmother since she was 5.
