i agree with you on the album stuff! i feel like the boycott really forced myself to confront my buying habits and the rampent spending within the kpop community :/ it's hard to completely stop spending money as a collector but there's nothing wrong with going slow and i feel like it's even more fun bc then the era isn't over in 2.5 seconds lol
My thing with albums has always been I just buy one set of albums for my Ults and then I buy the rest of my cards later. I like I collect full group Stray Kids and I just buy one of each photo book and one member jewel case. Right now they take up just over one shelf. Then there are other people I collect and I only get my favorite version of the album or no albums depending on how I feel. I’ve never bought a twice album and am almost finished with my Nayeon collection. Do what works for you and don’t feel bad for it. 😊
I adore your videos so much! Very calming and relaxing! But I agree, I haven't been buying albums a lot lately. Maybe once in awhile but I am also running out of storage space for my albums. Due to that I have been just buying the photocards for groups I collect whenever I see them become available.
I rarely buy albums anymore. The stress with the high shipping, the 25% customs I need to pay on top of that, and then trading the cards; it's not financially worth it in the end. I mostly just buy the photocards and buy some albums for a few groups I also collect albums for. Most albums you can buy secondhand on Mercari Japan, which is cheaper, and you can also get sealed albums there. I am considering just buying most of my albums secondhand at this point because I'm cutting back on benefits anyway for most of my groups. Selling extra copies of albums is too difficult for me since there's no market for them in my country.
I love your videos! I also had a wake up call regarding the amount of money that I was spending on K-pop, I got so overwhelmed with so many comebacks and the different versions. Now I buy one version of the albums, except for NCT and Taeyong solos (since he is my ult), with this now I am able to save more money and to spend in other things that now bring me more joy like traveling with friends or swimming lessons. Greetings from Costa Rica!
I don’t think there are US exclusive versions for Dream. However, I swear I saw somewhere that they just announced Wendy’s album is getting some US distribution, so Dreamzens might not be out of the woods yet. But now I can’t find where I saw that about Wendy so maybe I hallucinated it 😅
yes wendy & dream will both have us distribution! you can preorder wendy’s from target, b&n, and a couple other retailers right now since hers will release the 12th. as for dream i think they haven’t started their preorders cause they won’t be here till sometime in may
@@aireonamcnair178 Oh right, I forgot that SM is months behind when it comes to releasing US versions. Nice to see Wendy is confirmed for American stores.
it’s interesting that the US exclusives are releasing so much later because ISTJ it was like immediate and same with the fact check and golden age albums :o
you collect nct in full so thats definitely expensive. thats like 5 groups already. and its time they start releasing solo. many more will come so i do pray for your wallet😅 you are the most complete nct collector i have seen tho and you keep up with them so well like never really fall behind. im super impressed👍 i love your shinee and aespa collections too. they are kind of my fav bg and gg right now. and i recently started to like kiss of life🫶 as for your question, i do watch setting up videos but if you think they dont do numbers then its ok. effort is needed to put out a video so it is up to you if you want to do it.

the consumerism in kpop is so real 😭
