- two SWEET Fragrances for men from back in the days....Joop Homme Vs Mont Blanc Individuel, one is classic...other one is hyped in recent times..which is for you? my head on comparison between two gorgeous winter fragrances which can warm you up in the cold weather, for men. enjoy guys

JOOP! Homme is a timeless classic! Just love it! I'm 53 years old and remember well how popular it was in 80-90"s. And it is still actual! Every one should have this fragrance in its collection!

Yeppers! Do you remember that OG formula and how original it was for the time. It smelled so much better back then compared to now, but I still love even the reformulated version. Talkimg Joop makes me 'giddy" lol

Hello Joy, I absolutely love your reviews! I also watch Jeremy Fragrance reviews, but i trust him less because he has somewhat of a celebrity, almost sellout vibe to him. I trust You though, because I can tell your videos are from the heart. Keep doing what your doing. When your well known dont become like Jeremy. We love your videos because we know your real.
this is really huge for me man...means a lot...i do this from absolute love for frags....they are my life....jeremy is a cool guy and i really like his cool approach, but i pick my frags based on my nose and notes, thats the best way to buy frags really, wear what you love...im going to just give you what i get from the ones i bought....at least some ideas will be there, thats my part of happiness :) have an awesome day man

I had Joop! in 1994,and I still have it in my collection,reminds me of one very dear person that I dated at that time.It's a masterpiece,although I rarely wear it nowadays.Because of the similarities,I never bought Montblanc,despite good reviews.That goes to original santal too.Whoever was a perfumer,very original.Beast mode at it's best!
Joop, and also Joop Night Flight, I have never received so many compliments from any other scent. But that's just me. Joop is damn sexy,

Michael I seem to get more compliments from Night Flight. I do one spray in front of neck, on back of neck and one behind each ear, I also spray my arm then rub my arms together. It may seem like too much, but I've had people say it's just right

Thanks, Joy. Four years later this video is still relevant. I was in Burlington this week, three weeks after Christmas. This rack store has still not restocked after Christmas. Fragrances were still being cleaned out. I found Joop! Homme 125 ml for $25 and Mont Blanc Individuel 50 ml for $20. I have never smelled this stuff before. I am in heaven.
I enjoyed this segment. In depth, honest to the point of no hype, non biased, informative and definitely an eye opener. I totally agree when you mentioned about "when you know how" to use this particular scent. A frag either new or not either expensive or inexpensive it may be for as long as you enjoy it and know how to use it is the important line here. This involves knowing about our frag collection and what they can offer to serve us and in order to serve us well we have to garner the knowledge. The timing, the setting, the occasion are just a few things to consider but very important factors. Thank You Joy for the enlightening segment. Bravo!

Hey! Great review! Joop! Homme has always been one of my personal favorates. Individual Is a funny one. I don't own it but whenever I smell it on a tester I don't find it that special. I'll have to buy it and see if it changes my mind! 😊 thanks for this my friend!

btw, just keep your reviews as long as they are atm! That is kind of an unique type of reviewing i would say. everybody tries to make it as short as possible, but you talk more and make good points&remarks. it's okay and funny ;D

I love Joop. The opening is just too much and too strong and i can't stand it but the dry down is amazing. Soo in love with it. Great fragrance
The older formulations of Joop Homme where awesome...the new ones smells really generic..not so good anymore...but..projection and longevity of Joop Homme is still beastmode.Joop is still one of the best compliment-getters from woman.
I bought into the hype & purchased both bottles. They were blind buys and after trying them out a few times I was really disappointed with these two as well as YSL La Nuit de Lhomme. I gave them all away. I'm looking into buying samples so I won't repeat the same mistake.

Even if it was 30 min i enjoy it every min and will se it again. I feel joop homme is strongest of thoes 2. And after many many hours u think it gone, bang it comes back joop. Mont blanc its ok but is like joop homme Light versen.
You have the reformulation Coty Joop. Its so so much weaker than the original Lancaster Joop.

bahahaha, spot on with the Joop! I learned the hard way. But when I wear this with just one full spray directly on the back of my neck, its a compliment beast! totally unexpected. haven't yet tried the mb individual. but I will! great video. thanks, great info, Jeff

Your review is pretty transparent and clear.. Joop is very sweety/unsafe hate or like/ longer lasting and booble gum.. Individual is for office purpose/ safer and more fruity / less longivity..but now Joop had been reformulated and bacame weeker than before so its more close to individual now adays.
about individuel i would say it's an ok scent for me. And gets the job done. No omg reaction from this. And if you over spray this it can cloy. Perfect for winter. Just an over hyped scent. And original santal smells much better. Opening of santal is very good to my nose.

Montblanc Individuel is the insipid and even more synthetic version of Joop Homme....

Good review. Nothing like pink Joop it is the god of projection and silage. Still wear it from time to time.
Try Aventus (if you haven't already) it's wonderful.
Individuel smells good on me. It is sweet and spicy. It dries down to a “Le Male” by Gaultier type vibe. The reformulated Le Male did lose its manhood. Individuel keeps his.
It does have the metallic tone he describes but that gives it longevity. The best thing about it is when it dries down, it has that soft vanilla type thing that women are drawn to, makes them want to nuzzle.
For $20 it’s a good value and can be worn as an everyday fragrance. I’m with him, it’s better in cooler weather.
cool weather now. just bought Joop don't know which batch maybe new batch(reformulated). Longevity and projection not so strong. bummer. Applied more than 5 sprays still can't smell it
Nieva makes a skin lotion (after shave)that's unscented . Apply then spray your frag of choice :)

Both of them are definitely on the softer side. Reformulated or not, I go with 8 to 10 sprays with both and all I get is 3 hours max of projection. I'll never buy an edt again.

I made the mistake of putting three sprays on my shirt and one on my wrist. Wow ! I had to take the shirt off !!!!!!!!!! It is a beast !!!!!! Born free , wild. It’s an awesome fragrance!!!!
I've just tried joop! today and I am into it. You're absolutely right. It's like a pink animal. Sexy sweet. I was only into fresh fragrances until today.
Interesting is that the parfum designer Pierre Bourdon, designed Joop Nightflight and also Mont Blanc Individuel. Joop Nightflight is also very very fresh and interesting fragrance.
yo so i just got both individuel and joop homme, and honestly they are both different smelling.... Individuel is rather more fresh and sharp while joop is cherry like powdery smooth.
thanks a ton joy. firstly let me credit you for a absolutely apt comparison........ both the perfumes have a similar feel in terms of the DNA of the fragrance , however differ completely in performance and strength of the scent. earlier i had only individuel but

i think i got the reformed Joop! Homme. Isn't as strong on my skin as reviewers say. I sampled it and got performance... so i bought it online from a seller i've only always gotten authentic fragrances from. So i don't knw what the deal is.

I agree.In as much as I want to watch all of Joy's videos,my attention span is really short...much like 10 minute or less short. More than 10 minute videos tends to sway away my attention span already.

I had to laugh when I saw this review. All of my fragrances in my collection are lined up linear... going from light, summery fragrances, to buisness/formal, to dark daring like encre noire (all facets separate by season complement) etc. Joop and Mont blanc individuel are side by side in my collection. Both very great, both similarly scented, but individual, unique characteristics.... like q pair of beautiful twins 😊

I agree as well. The only difference I can tell is in the opening of MBI. It has a almost soapy/detergent opening that fades fairly quickly.

Blind bought Joop! Homme because it was dirt cheap. Yet, it is not even worth the cheap price, it's just awful. It is now used as a Toilet air freshener. I don't think I will try Mont Blanc Individuel because of the similarities. There are enough much better (also cheap) fragrances.

Wat up bro, Help me out. I fell for the hype. I blind bought Mont Blanc individuel. 4 sprays and it disappears. No projection. Can it be fake? I got it from fragrance.net. I've seen jeremy's reviews and many others. Total disappointment.
bro fragrancenet is legit as far as i know.but during the summer mb individual escapes fast, more for winter or cooler days.im really sorry you had this experience, but my humble request, please never blind buy, its a big mistake.some frags are good but never work with all users, if possible try on your skin in future and see what transitions and performance you get , i like joop over individual actually in winter :) have a nice day man

Same on me. After 3 hours it's a skin scent completely opposite on most reviews. Is this reformulated? I bought mine from a reputable seller.
even 1 million doesn't last on me lol. while it goes nuclear on my friends skin. my skin is always dry and he always uses lotions and stuff. it depends on your skin... and your clothes as well as far as i know.

Yep. I got now Mont Blanc Individuel =) clear greyish fragrance.... Cap has weight, decent weight. I hope it hasnt been much reformulated.
I feel the performance on me isnt great. Projection. But its a nice smell beautiful office scent and safe clean scent raspberry....
very clean and fresh fruity...somewhat close to starwalker but sweeter :)

Shaan W. Longevity is OK. Average roughly. not bad. But the Performance with projection is not so guud not so good. Probably sillage is pretty good.

The purple vintage juice is gorgeous smells like a cinnamon grape creamsicle. The current is disgusting! Smells like cotton candy & armpits- TOO much honeysuckle.
To my nose and memory, they smell exactly the same. Been rocking with Joop since 1993.
Hey man, good reviews but, please make them short. Preferably under 10 minutes. Beyond 10 mins it gets boring and one has to fast forward.
