Seems really fun to play, I'd definitely try it if I had the game. ..though, I'm curious, is there a way with Beat Saber to express the same kind of energy that occurs in the original MV where the band starts dancing, instead of being inanimated (like how the MV starts)?
Idk what you did differently this time round bit this is the first map of yours that felt satisfying to play!! The blocks almost always come perfectly in time to the music with my only complaint being the part at 2:00 as it's abnormally easy to get out of the rhythm there, maybe try to make it less repetitive? But idk I'm not a map maker, just like to play maps. Amazing job :D
I just now also played the "Scum" map of yours which is also much better than your previous maps. But still it feels like the blocks often aren't in tune with the song (timing wise), often coming in ever so slightly faster/slower than the song compared to other maps I play. I know I'm absolutely not a person to judge considering I have no idea how hard mapping is, though I wanted to ask if you notice it as well and if yes, that you could maybe try to fix it? I really love Lovejoy maps and you seem to be the only person actively making them, with "Normal People things" almost being perfect imo. Anyways, still great stuff! Have a nice day ^^
@@Minetendo0000 I know how to fix the timing issue you mentioned, its a very annoying process to fix it as I would have to get rid of the current audio file thats offbeat and get a new one, then get all the notes back on point as they would’ve been moved around. Its a very annoying process but i can do it if you really want to, let me know what maps need fixing the most.
Also the reason why this map was better for you was because i skipped a step in the audio set up. Basically, to prevent a hot start (the level starting too quickly) normally, I would get the audio file and use arrow vortex to extend the song by 2 seconds but still have it on beat, it gives me a number of seconds to extend it by, lets say for example its 2.416 seconds, i go into audacity and generate silence by that amount. Unfortunately, my arrow vortex stopped working, so I just extend the song by 2 seconds and skip the arrow vortex part. Thats why it feels off for you as its not on beat. As i said in the other comment. Very very annoyed process to fix, but if it makes the levels that much better than i will do it
@@HeroicBanjo3809 You don't necessarily have to do it if it's too hard!! I understand that it can be very time consuming.. Your block placements are very satisfying to play, it really is just some lone blocks (or groups of blocks) having a too short/long time interval and trying to get that fixed sure as hell can take a while. Sorry, I didn't quite understand what you talked about here but whatever you did seemed to work quite well for this map, so I think maybe continue doing that? I can try to give some feedback on your future maps if you want, though I'm not very good at expressing and giving proper/understandable criticism (and am very picky for that matter haha). Either way, love what you're doing! You're currently filling the Normal-People-Things-shaped-hole in my heart ^^
