As the video says, theres absolutely no honor in killing. And as a muslim woman that lives in the middle east i am just disgusted. Its so heartbreaking especially hearing the story, she had done NOTHING wrong islamic wise, she went to an imam asked for and got a divorce (all of which is a woman’s right in islam) then she got married to another muslim man. All of this is completely okay. I dont get how she “dishonored” them? Allah says in the quran “whoever kills an innocent person, it shall be as if he has killed all of mankind” (5:32) Another verse also states “theres no compulsion in religion” (2:256) so even IF Samia had done something “bad” and dishonored the religion, its still between her and god and no family member can “kill” her in “honor”. Which again, she never did anything wrong. Infact the marriage to her cousin was islamicly wrong because they had forced her into it. Marriage is supposed to create happiness, security and family and not to make grudges and ruin our lives. Theres so much beauty and joy in marriage in islam if its done properly, both parties loving and caring for one another. This is just one more thing her family robbed her of. She was failed by her family from the start of that forced marriage. Even an arranged marriage can be happy, but do NOT call this that, because it was completely forced on her, poor thing.. and as an iraqi i understand how some families are so so extreme to the point they go AGAINST THE RELIGION just to keep their so called “honor” and disgusting “cultural values”. May allah grant her the best place in paradise and give her the eternal peace that her family robbed her off. May all the people involved in ruining and taking her life get their punishment in the hereafter. My heart goes out to her truly 😕💔 And thank you for covering her case and putting this as such a good reminder out there. This should stop within our societies. I couldnt have said it better so i will mention it again- THERE IS NO HONOR IN KILLING.
I click Zara's videos almost instantly, but ur comment was the first I see just under the video,I've never clicked faster. Slight Jay reveal,I can't wait.
Thank you so much for covering this tragic case (they all are!) But the "honor killing" type makes my blood boil!!!! MY only hope is the new generations really hope they'll put an End to this . About the heritage thing, I knew it! You're stunningly gorgeous! Long live India. R.I.P SAMIA🕊
I thought I was the only person who thought marrying your cousin is weird. I know that it's in some people's culture and even religion but marrying family is weird to me especially when some individuals are forced or to maintain a reputation
It's very common in Pakistan and also some parts of the UAE to marry first cousins. I find it sickening. In my culture, we will break up weddings if there is even a distant relation.
Reputation..reputation. It's all Samia's family thinks about, even after all these years.😢😒 Also, to many people from countries like Pakistan reputation isn't just important, it's PARAMOUNT. It matters more than anything else. The fact of matter is that Samia's family loved their reputation more than they loved her.
Was the father even sick or was that a trap? Being raised in a country so different to Pakistan and being expected to adjust easily seems like a recipe for disaster. This is so sad.
Every single detail u have said zara is soo true and accurate in ever single word and everything I would highly recommend Samia documentary it's called murder for love it's based her case when I watched I get goosed bumps and I'm lucky to be a Asian girl who would never marry her cousin ❤
When CULTURE is delivered as religion, it’s a dangerous mixture, if we also include the “what others would say” 😔 Love and protect your children, May Allah protect us.

Also zara Samia had a UK wedding register before she Passed away it's is true if you see the documentary it shows she had a Islamic wedding and a UK registered also Samia was loved by everyone and her friends and family but tragic it was cut short it wasn't Samia fault one thing I don't understand is why her family wanted to her to marry her cousin like is that how in I'm not gonna be rude about Pakistan culture but what makes you and your family decide oh you have to marry your cousin just to keep the land at home you have marry your first cousin it's just disgusting to me cos I can't imagine doing that I just can't but zara I love how u said everything it was very accurate no single details not missed 😔💕💕💕💕💗💗💗rip Samia

YES FINALLY A NEW UPLOAD☺ Zara i love your channel but could you please cover more people of colour cases especially the Asian omes i find them so interesting😂 and the plots too!
I’m African American and I’m passionate about these cases too. It’s because I care about other women and I care about children regardless of race or religion.
It was culture+mixed with religion which often misleading and people used it wrongly. And oh, no, all of those things weren’t Islamic teachings at all, not sunni. In fact, Islam encourage us to marry people from various backgrounds, not our close family. Im a Muslim woman. I’m allowed to do whatever I want but I know my limits. I get to study what I want, work, get active. Marry the man I love. I can have kids when I want to. Socialise. It’s frustrating how people use religion to enable what they’re doing while in fact it’s on them. Never the religion.
Nikah ceremony in pakistan is considered legal marriage in the UK because it is consider legal in Pakistan. You dont need to register it in the UK u only register in the UK if u have a nikah ceremony in the UK because a nikah isnt classed as a legal ceremony in the UK.
@@Smartiesmmm211 No because i married abroad and went to register it and was told by the government office if its recognised abroad then it doesn’t need to be registered. As long as u have ur marriage certificate the abroad one when required. Nothing else needs to be done.
That's what I thought too, because when you get married overseas and come to a country you don't need to get remarried there? But Samia's parents have disputed the validity of her second marriage which confused me!
She should have never trusted her family. They literally forced her to marry her cousin, which in my opinion is disgusting and incestuous. They verbally and emotionally harrassed and manipulated her.She would be alive if she had trusted her gut and didnt allow her family to manipulate her.I would not have trusted my parents if they had treated me like that but that's just me.
I'm horrified at this topic.... but I am over the moon at the fact your video today was near an hour!! ❤ Love that this is double the norm. Ty so much for being thorough. P.s. yay! You have distance ancestors in , Maderia Portugal too?? 🇵🇹 woohoo! Omg!! I hardly ever meet anyone from Madeira!!! I'm the first generation born here in the states....my whole family even my brother were all born in Madeira! ❤
If I could reveal my maiden last name the Portugal part would make a lot of sense, but given the rest of my family and their names etc I'm shocked there was nothing further. Haha couldn't believe it was 100%! Yay to long videos! I try 😂
@ZaraV yes, 100% NEVER happens! lol. That's amazing. Now I kinda wanna do mine... but I also don't wanna open up a can of worms and find out I have like 14 other long lost siblings who are fugitives or something haha. (I watch way too much true crime🤣)
4:20 I took an ancestry test, my whole life I was as lead to believe I’m mainly Native American and it was a huge part of my identity. Then I find out I’m 70% Scottish. It was devastating to me. I still am lead by my Native American values and I’m constantly learning more about my Scottish heritage which is also amazing. That test also told me the man I thought was my biological father is not and that it seems like the man who is has passed away already. It was hard to navigate those results but I’m glad I know for sure.
Wow that's incredible to hear. I can only imagine how it must have felt, you are a strong person! Good for you to accept and embrace it and learn more about your heritage. Power to you! ❤️ Thanks for commenting and watching
5:30 awe I love hearing you and your hubby chatting together! 💖 you guys are so cute! Also, again, I love you for covering little known cases, or the more harsh cases. It really feels like you’re fighting for these women and in a way, giving them a louder voice! ❤❤❤ keep up your amazing work!
Thank you so much! Haha we really are best friends, have been for most of our lives ❤️ but that's a story for another video lol. Thank you for saying that also, I get a lot of commentary about the whole make-up thing, but I don't believe it takes away from the subject matter or how I feel about the topic. These stories are so tragic and deserve to be told and shared.
I’ve always thought you were from India. I’ve had friends from there since I was a teen, since you and my friends daughter have very similar features, I figured so. You are absolutely GORGEOUS ❤❤
How can people so ignorant to you. Your amazing and I’m sure the research is beyond i is beyond a crazy amount of work. How does any other true crime platform talk about cases outside of their ethnicity or outside of their country? It’s obviously due to research so these people are just ignorant. You’re excellent at what you do. Continue doing what you do and I and many others will continue watching you.
I haven’t seen any negative comments but regardless who cares!!! I stumbled on your channel & instantly subscribed & love love love these cases you’re covering! I’m a true crime indulger even though it always breaks my heart & I love yours bc I’ve seen so many channels that keep talking about the same cases … one will do it then I see all of them do it so this is so refreshing to see that you cover southeastern countries. & you do such an amazing job at it… keep doing you beautiful ❤❤
This is absolutely horrific. I will never understand how a parent or family member can be ok with doing this. Look into the case of shafilea ahmed who was murdered by her parents at the age of 17. That case shook me to my core. There is a revealing twist to how they got caught.
no not even culture, certain villages may be more likely to do that. Thank you for mentioning this, because I also wanted to comment that arranged marriages are definitely not expected in Islam; yes it's good to get approval from families but technically if 2 consenting adults want to get married, they can.
There will never be a day we can't be aware of what's happening to women (not to mention our nonninary/trans and alphabet mafia peeps) regardless of race/ethnicity Anything could happen for any reason and I'm so glad you cover the cases you do. I only just discovered your channel but I'm absolutely here for you and your content 🧡

I've always thought that you were from India and that's it so I'm very confused that anybody thought you were from anywhere else but you're just south Asia that's kind of cool to know your heritage I did one with it and I had so many that I didn't even know
For those who do not understand islam has nothing to do with this. Unfortunately culture and tradition is greater then the religion and yes marriage is encouraged but by islamic law no one can be forced to marry someone they do not want to marry
Alhamdullah thank you 🙏 for this explanation , we lived the Islamic life with my very strick father and not once did he force any of us to marry ppl that were not agree to , may Allah rest his soul in Jannah in eternal peace 🙏🙏❤️❤️
I suggest you actually research into the sharia laws implemented in the UAE that actually force women to stay married to men despite abuse that may be taking place behind closed doors and women in the West may have it easier but the reality of the Islamic laws governing the UAE are forcing women to marry men they do not desire to. It's hard to acknowledge that religion actually does have some problematic aspects of it, but what you are saying is entirely incorrect.
@@KushQueen9The UAE just abuses Islam and implements rules they shouldn’t. Muslims should follow what the Quran says and now where does it allow forced marriage. So what the commentator above is saying isn’t incorrect.
I watched a 16 year old girl get beat by her father because a boy at her work was showing interest in her. She did not show any interest in him as she knew her culture wouldn't allow it. I got involved as I witnessed him hit her and him and his son tried to come at me. The cops were called and she was taken to the hospital. I will never know what happened to her but my biggest fear is that my actions caused her more harm than good. When I asked the manager at the store to call the police he refused and said he did not care what happened to women. It broke my heart
I want to start by saying your videos are amazing and I love that you bring awareness to every type of case there is and anybody else who says otherwise is ridiculous by trying to insinuate that you don't know anything about it so why would you have to talk about it you talk about it because you want to bring awareness to these difficult cases who are always in different ways like honor killings and stuff like that and you have every right to bring awareness and you don't have to apologize for it and I say this to anybody who's out there who wants to post something out there like you don't understand what you are talking about you shouldn't be saying it, then they need to just leave the the channel and go away because you are doing your job by bringing awareness to these helpless people who were innocent and did not deserve what they got
A nikah is absolutely legal in, at least, the State of Texas. You then take it to the county clerks office and just have it registered as a record and they will simply give you a civil marraige certificate. No "civil ceremony" is required.
Saddest thing about is that she had so much love for her father who had so little love for her, truly heartbreaking how your own father would be an accomplice in your demise and fathers are a daughters first love. Evil man and evil family. He died shortly after she did which was God avenging her, you do not get to live a happy life when you can be so callous towards someone else but your own blood?!
I just have to say I'm not a makeup or lash girl but I love it on others I've just could never get it right if that makes sense and I love how u do your makeup & your lashes are so pretty what brand are they
I've heard about this being done from documentaries that I watched, and I still don't understand why it's okay to murder your child, sister, wife, etc... She probably seemed happy to her family because she felt that she had to be,but she let her friends know how she really felt. I also wouldn't trust her family to tell the truth about what really happened. I would like to be able to say that her mother and sister were afraid of being killed, so that's why they didn't do anything to help her, but I'm a Momma and a grandmother and I would do anything to help my daughter and granddaughters to be safe even if it meant my own life had to given up, I'd do it, so that I knew that they were okay and not in any danger. Her husband Ali was a brave man for doing all that he did and putting himself at risk. I'm just shaking my head because all this young, vibrant, beautiful girl did was fall in love and try to be her own person, and she got murdered for it. I also can't believe her father okay it and held her legs as she was being killed, because I know that my Daddy would have killed the person that he caught trying to end my life. He also would've told people to FO when they said something bad about me too. This poor girl trusted the wrong people.

Allah says in the quran “whoever kills an innocent person, it shall be as if he has killed all of mankind” (5:32)
Another verse also states “theres no compulsion in religion” (2:256) so even IF Samia had done something “bad” and dishonored the religion, its still between her and god and no family member can “kill” her in “honor”.
My heart goes out to her truly 😕💔
And thank you for covering her case and putting this as such a good reminder out there. This should stop within our societies. I couldnt have said it better so i will mention it again- THERE IS NO HONOR IN KILLING.
That’s awesome! I want to do that MyHeritage too. People are just rude your beautiful and do a great job bringing these stories to us and awareness ❤
She is overweight.
Zara, do you know how rare and incredible it is that you’re 100% from somewhere?
I WISH. I could say that.
Why?
Zara I love your stories and how passionate you talk and feel about the victims. You are indeed a good mother, wife, friend and sister. Love always ❤
Always! Thank you Zara for the research
Omg finally, Jay did an arm reveal 🤯
I click Zara's videos almost instantly, but ur comment was the first I see just under the video,I've never clicked faster. Slight Jay reveal,I can't wait.
😂👏👍 That's such a great comment I'm lovin it
🤣🤣🤣
Thank you so much for covering this tragic case (they all are!) But the "honor killing" type makes my blood boil!!!! MY only hope is the new generations really hope they'll put an End to this . About the heritage thing, I knew it! You're stunningly gorgeous! Long live India. R.I.P SAMIA🕊
When you said they were first cousins, I audibly said “eww.”
I thought I was the only person who thought marrying your cousin is weird. I know that it's in some people's culture and even religion but marrying family is weird to me especially when some individuals are forced or to maintain a reputation
Nasty hypocrites
The Royal Englisch Family are all related. Its only now that this isnt Practiced anymore
@@lajefe1066 its not a part of religion. It was historically practiced in the west too. There is a big move away from it now
It's very common in Pakistan and also some parts of the UAE to marry first cousins. I find it sickening. In my culture, we will break up weddings if there is even a distant relation.
Thank you for covering this in the way you do! It must take a lot out of you to research some of the details, and I appreciate the work you put in ♥️
Reputation..reputation.
When CULTURE is delivered as religion, it’s a dangerous mixture, if we also include the “what others would say” 😔
Love and protect your children, May Allah protect us.
Oh my god thank u soo much for cover this case zara and saying my name thank you sooo much ❤❤❤😢 plus I have another case suggestion for u its called shaffia Ahmed another case plus happy Easter 🐰🐇🐇🐇💕💕🐣🐣
You're welcome 🤗
Thank you xx
Her sister is a weirdo in my opinion lol
That’s what I was thinking !!
She knew what happened to her sister and now she is scared of her life and is siding with her father and his family to save her skin otherwise she would also end up like Samia.
Maybe scared
Wow I can't believe I found this channel!!!! I've been searching and hoping for something like this and I'm so excited for this!!!

Zara lot of respect to you because i guess you are the one of the few youtubers who sheds light on south asian crimes.
Women are not condemned to servitude & ownership. We have a responsibility to ensure all females be free of archaic beliefs & customs
I remember watching this case. Samia seemed so happy when she finally met her new husband and moved to Dubai. I wish she never travelled to Pakistan.
I can't be the only one who guessed India. You are amaaaazing!!!!❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
You're not alone. That was my thought too.❤
I thought Indian as well ❤
Yes. I always thought Zara looked Indian for sure. No question. South Asian for sure.
Me too I always thought she is Indian. I'm from India and I have seen many people who looks like Zara,so I always assumed she is Indian 😊
How come all you guys are guessing Indian?!! Haha noone ever guesses I'm indian in person so that's cool you guys all got it right!
Thank you for this respectfully and kind narrative. You are a gem ❤
i love you gurll. you're so underrated ❤

I've never heard of someone being 100% but I'm from the US 😂
I think most Asian people are 100% and the people from US are not native American. Your guys are from everywhere.
This is so sad. I’ll never understand why??? Rest in Peace sweet angel. 😢

Aw yay im so glad! Yes of course!
my nails are the same colour as yours rn!!! just made me excited :p
So sad . If she would have just continued to live her life she would be ALIVE
I’m African American and I’m passionate about these cases too. It’s because I care about other women and I care about children regardless of race or religion.
Her family don't seemed to care about her
Duh! Ya think??
Your makeup looks beautiful!!!! ☀️😍
I always guessed India ❤
You are absolutely stunning and thank you for sharing victim's stories with respect.
Well said
wish this comment had more likes!! such a heartbreaking case
THANK YOU FOR BRINGING AWARENESS TO THESE HORRIBLE CASES, MAY SHE REST IN PEACE🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
This is so horrifically sad 😢
Nikah ceremony in pakistan is considered legal marriage in the UK because it is consider legal in Pakistan. You dont need to register it in the UK u only register in the UK if u have a nikah ceremony in the UK because a nikah isnt classed as a legal ceremony in the UK.
Don’t you still have to let the government know your married and prove it by producing your nikkah papers… at least that’s how it works in Canada
@ZaraV they disputed it simply because they didn't agree with her choice. Evil people.
As someone that traveled and lived in India. I 100% thought you were Indian. Goa makes sense because Goa was colonised by the Portuguese. 😊
Why are you devastated to be Scottish??? What the heck is it with you "I'm not white" people being devastated to find out you are something else? 🙄
@@ZaraV thank you Sis. I appreciate you. Many blessings your way 🥰
She looked so sad in her wedding photo, it's a shame her family lied and said she was happy all along

Lol at the heritage reveal. That's pretty awesome! You're pure lol

How can people so ignorant to you. Your amazing and I’m sure the research is beyond i is beyond a crazy amount of work. How does any other true crime platform talk about cases outside of their ethnicity or outside of their country? It’s obviously due to research so these people are just ignorant. I think deep down she knew they were going to eventually kill her.. this is so sad..
Stunning makeup as usual Zara 💝💝💝
This is absolutely horrific. I will never understand how a parent or family member can be ok with doing this. Look into the case of shafilea ahmed who was murdered by her parents at the age of 17. That case shook me to my core. There is a revealing twist to how they got caught.
My guess about her marriage not being recognized in the UK, would be that the UK considered it a religious marriage only, and not a legal one...
Arranged marriages arent encouraged and expected in Islam…this is wrong information. Maybe more by pakistani indian culture
Yes they are, forced marriages aren’t.
no not even culture, certain villages may be more likely to do that. Thank you for mentioning this, because I also wanted to comment that arranged marriages are definitely not expected in Islam; yes it's good to get approval from families but technically if 2 consenting adults want to get married, they can.
@@nidam6334 you need your walis approval in islam, you can only seek Permissions elsewhere if you wali has no valid reason for disproving

Goa was colonized by Portugal 1500s to 1960s, so may be you have family from the Goa area who was Portuguese. So interesting....love it.
My exact and initial thoughts too❤❤
I guest that you are South Asian from the beginning :)
Girl, you at the counter just being you. You are BEAUTIFUL, I mean I've always thought you were very pretty, but I think this is the first time i had seen ypu not in your set up!

I've always thought that you were from India and that's it so I'm very confused that anybody thought you were from anywhere else but you're just south Asia that's kind of cool to know your heritage I did one with it and I had so many that I didn't even know
Thank Goodness for Ali & Samia's friends😔
If they wouldn't have fought for justice for their friend everything would've been covered up!
@@KushQueen9
Islam does not force marriage
You are lying.

😢😢 poor girl may she rest in peace
Thanks for sharing
Girl I straight up thought you were from India ❤
It's not a matter of culture when it comes to murder. Period.
I just have to say I'm not a makeup or lash girl but I love it on others I've just could never get it right if that makes sense and I love how u do your makeup & your lashes are so pretty what brand are they

@@ZaraV your welcome no worries u made my nigjt by Responding I'm fan girling lol my husband's like why are u screaming lol 😂😂
@trinashivers7236 haha you're funny!!!
