Season III or no Season III this feels like an ending. The arc that started with the beginning of Season I has come full circle. Also, with the last scene, I like how Haru in her own witty way is basically getting Legoshi to commit to their relationship and moving forward, seemingly talking him out of dropping out of school, as well as Legoshi's line about how "it's fine to live like this" referring to his current life. It feels like Legoshi has decided to stay and move forward with Haru. Again, regardless if we get another season or not, this is a good ending.

Apparently the series has been doing pretty well on streaming so far from what i can see, and given that it seems more or less a certainty that we'll get the rest of the material adapted into a third and maybe even fourth season. While I'm not genuinely surprised because this is an anime, I would like to point out I should be surprised that Louis did not die of shock. Or blood loss.
Apparently getting limbs ripped off is a semi-regular occurrence in this show, though not necessarily on screen. I'm not too surprised that everyone is fine.
I mean, we are talking about the same guy who: -Growed up in a slaugtherhouse -Killed a mafia boss -Eaten meat of himself to replace the mafia boss that he just killed -Get a trusty second hand in the mafia -Watched ibuki trying to eat him, just to realize seconds later he just killed himself to let him leave the underworld I think if we look the full scheme of things, loosing one of his legs (wich also was his living curse for him) because he ask to his freak wolf friend to eat it, it's not a big deal (i mean, at least this time he technically was the one who had control over his own suffering)
@@fabriziodipaola8543 i think they meant more the physical/medical shock that comes with things like losing a limb. when people sustain a serious injury, there tends to be this loop of reaction that the brain goes through to try and deal with it. The brain will try to increase bloodflow to cause scabbing, not realizing its just bleeding the body out. this can also cause the heart to work itself to death as it tries to pump more and more blood rapidly in such a short time. Adrenaline worsens both of these outcomes, and further deprives the body of oxygen.

I know him eating his foot would mean them deepening their relationship and Logoshi finally hearing Louie) or whatever his name out. Because Louie open up to him. But honestly…they could have just called the damn cops 😂 the bear didn’t even die still so wtf-) Also his whole foot didn’t need to be gone- if that 4 bother him that much, he could have just shaved it off his skin. And mannnn 😂😂🤣 I know this a anime- but that guy feels no pain of his missing foot even tho he use to sucking it up 😮💨 Seriously But other than that. Great season- can’t wait for season 3
To be far this is the animes best adaptation of what was a mess of a manga going by the whole eating analogy is like a fantastic dinner at a Mexican restaurant. You loved the meal although some parts were not that savory and the outer built shell wasn't the best well made and god damn does the ending not go down well afterwards, but you don't forget it.
Yeah it needed to happen but it’s still sad. Riz was just lonely and wanted a friend. He stopped taking his pills to try and get closer to Tem but that mistake ended up destroying both his and Tem’s lives.
I honestly didn't like the ending... Maybe I am also taking in consideration the manga, but also just as the anime the ending for season 2 feels dry. There were so many points they could have left it here just feels rushed. Unlike season 1, at least they left some sort of cliffhanger, here they just cutted it and tbh I think one episode more or more time overall would have concluded it better... the whole interrogation actually had important details that lead to the 3rd act. But they just skipped it and rushed it. I however don't think it's a horrible season I just would have hoped a better closing of the 2nd act. I do have hope that they polish the 3rd act tho!
Agree. On the other hand, it is not rare to see the last scenes of the previous season in much more detail as the first scenes for the next season (like the interrogation scene) . It happens A Lot in series in general.
Don't worry there's still a vol 13 which means season 3 is coming. That's what I saw in e book legosi to meet (secret) + At volume 13 jack is just a storyteller so don't get your hopes up
Honestly Legosi should have just stayed in school and become the Beastar. Legosi could've been together with Haru and be called a hero and he probably wouldn't feel so lonely and depressed
Well I’ll see you later again beastars. This season was honestly my favorite. They did so well with character growth and all. It was just way more interesting I loved it. Though there’s a few characters and things I hope to see more of in the next season.
Legosi: "Louis. What's happened to you?" Louis: "I decided to forage my own path. I now realize that nothing lasts forever." Legosi: "Then, our beastar is truly dead. Goodbye, old friend."
What a sweet little ending. It felt underwhelming, and a bit shorted but somehow the calmness in the scene made me ok with. I’m not upset in the slightest, and am once again reinvigorated for the next chapter in the saga. Great show!
It goes to shown that life is not so black and white, we just gotta accept something even if it hurt and endure the entire world as it torment us even if we are doing something right, but if we have a friend or someone we can lean on or maybe someone who understand and listen, Life can get a little easier, even if it small, it's enough to brighten our day, it's Sad but then again it's Beautiful in it's own ways.
Well, that was... abrupt. Lets see what season 3 will bring, though i wish they went little easier on the mysticism and focused more on the reality of existence in the world like this, on the other side, that is what manga did, so yea...
I read the manga right after the episode where Kibi’s arm is removed, and pondered when the season would end and omg haha maybe I was reading too fast cuz I thought it’d end with the reveal of legosi’s grandpa
How are they going to give Legoshi a record when Louis offered him the foot xD? And it's not like he was going to eat the rest of Louis. And then at the end when Haru xD kind of tests Legoshi who's too innocent and awkward about love and romance..it's so cute.
I really hate how legoshi still ended up getting a record when Louis's testimony should state that he offered his foot to give him the strength to win or else he, pina and Louis were gonna be killed. Like legoshi was clearly trying to defend an innocent from harm especially a herbivore
@*SIMA* The Gamer Apparently in the Beastars world the circumstances don't matter, it's black and white "consuming another's meat is bad no matter what" and they charged him for it anyway. Surely there would be extenuating factors to consider in a life or death situation like this based on Louis' statements or something but no. Frankly, it seems that Legoshi's action (or others carnivores who may have done similar things as him) is viewed in a very narrow minded manner and considered bad across the board reasons be damned. That the authorities proceeded to brand him an offender even then is downright stupid, insulting and a gross miscarriage of justice in my eyes. It was clearly a unique case but instead they dropped this boat anchor of limitations on his head and it seemed like he would be fated to live out his life devoid of anything other than a narrow path of strictly carnivore only schools, jobs and only ever being able to marry a female of his own species thus seemingly ruining any potential future with Haru. I'm glad that he was able to ultimately get it removed/struck from the records in the end due to Yafya having connections and promising such for capturing Melon. That was something i didn't like about the story, it seemed so ridiculous to label him as such even if this was a justifiable act.
@@justinmiddleton8818 to be fair he also basically said "im gonna eat you because i want to" and that he wouldn't use "i eated louis because he asked me to" as an excuse.
@Mizzix Yeah, it is true to some degree though even then Louis more or less still willfully consented to Legoshi consuming his marked leg/foot in order to defeat Riz which he wouldn't have otherwise. I guess you could say a part of him had wanted to do it but at the same time he was still able to stop himself from consuming Louis whole in the way that Riz did to Tem, it shows he is able to restrain his instincts and not totally fall victim to them. That's what the big difference is between the two, because Riz wasn't able to keep himself in control and going off the meds (which were mandated prescriptions and caused him side effects) only made it worse then when Tem got injured he couldn't resist the temptation and gave in to his instincts. That said, i still stand by what i said in my previous post above.
@Lizbeth Sanchez Nope, there's still so much more to go. Likely another season or two to adapt the rest of the series. The manga has 196 chapters so there's a lot more material to cover. As of this episode we're at the halfway point!!!!
Btw i just love how legoshi in the was just like: -Taking things to consider, i think i have to live alone and wandering the world Just to haru to say -Mf if you that you will talk me again Legoshi: -Ok relax it was joke i swear please don't hate me please I just love these two XD
The ending so far really disapointed me bc i didnt want it to end like that, they could atleast have kissed before it ended but that's my opinion, so i hope there will come a season 3
That because there's aren't, you have to achieve it not wait for something to happen, every road will have a challenge and you have to face it not avoid it. it will be worth it In the end
It appears that all signs point to there being another season either by the end of this year or early next, so i'm definitely looking forward to it and further ones to have all 196 chapters in anime form.
A happy ending huh. I guess it is, considering that they skipped over some important details in the manga. It feels like they're keeping it ambiguous on whether or not their will be a season 3 (even though its highly likely).
@Brad ShadowDog My thinking is yes on the latter, because this doesn't really feel like an ending to me when the manga does actually have a conclusion. I doubt they are just going to leave it hanging here when there's still so much more material to adapt and so far nothing has suggested (at least officially) they are not going to continue on.
@Jason Menendez Well that is true, though i don't know assuming they do adapt the rest of the material in another season or two if it's going to be left more or less as is. Though given the series has basically followed the manga up to this point i would guess they're not going to deviate too heavily but maybe change things to some degree but we'll see. I'll honestly be surprised if when they do eventually come to the point in which the manga's final arc ends that it gets changed and thus feel more like a definitive ending. You never know, the animation and story people over there likely already know the plot points and may find the end lacking then decide to alter and tweak things to where it feels more conclusive.
I honestly do hope they polish the 3rd act on the anime. However I do agree this is far from a "happy ending" it's just an ending. Besides a lot of stuff was not concluded and the whole interrogation was skipped with VERY important details that actually lead to the 3rd act.
It a mistake that Legoshi just drops out of school and besides so many friends got him out and besides he still needs to fix thing with Jack. But either way I hope Legoshi can find his real sole mate and hope she'll be around his size or Juno's
Guys idk if they're making the anime but if you wanna continue the story in the manga start from chp 100 I think there are around 180 Chp in total as of now
this will be a good point for some to end it the manga many feel seems to be rushed but i feel thats how it was supposed to be a quick wrap-up instead of a slow painful process
I mean, it's already been more or less confirmed that a new season is coming soon right? So with that said i wouldn't really say this is so much an ending but just a temporary hiatus, i mean we're only at the halfway point of the manga's storyline at this point as there's still so much more to go. I really doubt they're just going to leave it hanging here and not go any further because they've already gotten this far into the series and all. I'm sure they'll announce it soon enough, they just wrapped the second season so they'll need some time to regroup and get going.
I was so intrigued by the series by the end of season one and watched season two with high hopes but the end just left me confused, itchy, and very unhappy.
@King Kong Yes, Legoshi and Haru hook up and are engaged to be married at the very end of the series. They had to jump over a lot of hurdles to get to that point but indeed they are officially together as a couple. It's going to be a while before we come to that point in terms of the anime, but it is true that they ultimately do get together.
Literally everything he has done to train his body to this point, his entire resolve to getting stronger without succumbing to eating meat, became completely pointless and all of these plot beats just crashed and burned. That fight would've had the same exact result if he didn't train with Gohin, and he wouldn't have found Rouis and nearly killed because he wouldn't be in the black market. He was trying so hard to become stronger in his own way, only to fall back on his words and eat meat to get stronger, then acting like nothing happened at all. I was loving this season much more than the first and the very last episode it all just falls apart. Did the writer just say "fuck it" or something? God this sucks, I was loving it so much too.
Guessing you have not read the manga as this is more or less how it played out there. Also, it is because of his training Legoshi learned to improve himself so you are wrong there. Plus, Louis TOLD HIM to eat his foot to not only help Legoshi, but so Louis could be freed from the branding on his foot. Did you pay attention at all?
I honestly don't know how to feel about this ending, it was just a big wtf slap to the face - legoshi literally went against everything he trained for and ate louie foot to become stronger - he ended up getting arrested, charged and put on a registry and now he has to pretty much drop out of school messing up his future - and then lastly he appeared to have messed up whatever relationship him and haru had but I guess him and louie are buddy buddy close now?.. like WHAT???

It's still quite early yet, i mean they just wrapped season 2 so assuming that more is coming they have to regroup and plan it all out. There has so far been nothing to suggest they are not going to continue and just leave it hanging here, not when they're this far along into the manga's storyline already.
@@justinmiddleton8818 true, although there is no much need to plan out an end credit scene for this season either, just show us a teaser like last time about S3's villain
I dont think theyre gonna renew another season out of their own will (excl. fan demands) and if they are, i don’t think they should. the goal in season 1 was to find tem’s killer and for legosi to learn how get out of his shell and embrace his differences and the world around him; season 2 pretty much wrapped that up. Also *slight spoiler* >>>>>>>> In the manga version where Legoshi was fighting Riz in the bathroom, he had a flashback of himself with his grandpa who turned out to be a Komodo Dragon, not a wolf. This flashback simply implies that theres more to the story after the whole fight is over, but they intentionally removed it in the anime to bring a clean closure in season 2. Now its just up to you whether you wanna read the rest of it from there.
But wouldn't it still be fun to see the slice of life moments and the more hilarious action from the anime? They aren't just gonna drop it that easily. There's tons of more stuff to go through, like with melon. Sure Legosi completed his main-objective, but when he does that, new ones arrive every-single time. Wouldn't it be better to let the anime finish fully?
@@emulatorisland7417 I wouldn’t be surprised if they did make a season 3, but the probability is low, considering how episode 12 ended. This is simply how most animes go; by the time the protagonist achieves their goal, the season ends. Most anime adaptations are to promote it’s manga counterpart. In any case, a crap ton happens after this fighting arc, which would be difficult to mash together in a third season.
@@treeknees that doesn’t really make sense though, when season 3 was confirmed to already be in production. Honestly we’d probably get at least 4 seasons.
Good ending but I feel like it shouldn't end there because when Legoshi said that he's dropping out of school I was like now he's going to throw away all the friends he made at school like Louis, his childhood friend Jack, his girlfriends Haru, and close friend Juno. You know I hope Legoshi reverses his decision in Season 3 because he made so many friends including Louis and is close with his childhood friend Jack, and is actually in a relationship with Haru and very close friends with Juno. Legoshi he's probably the most moral character in the series but he constantly keeps his friends in the shadows of his secret life because of something big happening, now that he has a criminal record Legoshi should stay in school to rehabilitate and build his moral compass.
What i can't get over is the whole idea that herbivores are weak. You can find all sorts of footage from Africa of carmivores being horribly injured or killed by the animals they hunt. I have to chalk it up to the cultural viewpoint of the author of Beastars.

For now it is, though apparently a third season (and maybe even fourth) is coming sometime either late this year or early next year. Hasn't been officially announced as in production yet but likely will be in due time.
@Dreamshard Juno x Legoshi was never going to happen in a million years, he clearly wasn't interested in her romantically speaking. Her feelings toward him weren't all that genuine honestly so it was more a mix of one sided starry eyed school girl crush/enamorment while seeing him as some trophy or prize in her ultimate goal to have the things she craves (as Louis mentions which are beauty, men and status as the Beastar) to further her image and be some perfect dream like representation of a carnivore couple. She wasn't exactly looking for a serious genuine boyfriend/girlfriend relationship with him. Aside from that, she had this pie in the sky image in her head as opposed to how he really is personality wise and didn't try to get to know him better first. They have no chemistry together and it really is a one sided thing that goes nowhere because Legoshi just plain doesn't like her like that and never did to begin with. This is what makes the story so interesting, the fact that he is in love with a girl that is a different species from him rather than Juno who is the same (I think it's also apparently said at one point he doesn't due to the fact that she reminds him of his late mother, so that's another reason aside from not being attracted in general why he doesn't get together with her) and is literally defying nature and his carnivorous instincts to do so. I can see that you really dislike Haru, but personally while you may disagree with me on this i feel despite some of the things she says and does sometimes she genuinely loves him despite the challenges that they face as an inter species couple.

@@ellapicito836 Well due to his job, all the damage he's received and near deaths he's experienced, and having to leave his wife for work can you really blame him for being unfriendly, quarreling, and grumpy? Also so far he's only quarreled with Legoshi since Legoshi thinks he knows better while Gohin has been through the same or similar shit with others on a day to day bases.
While I'm not genuinely surprised because this is an anime, I would like to point out I should be surprised that Louis did not die of shock. Or blood loss.
Blood loss is not a thing in anime they have like 60 gallons of blood or something idk
Apparently getting limbs ripped off is a semi-regular occurrence in this show, though not necessarily on screen. I'm not too surprised that everyone is fine.
I mean, we are talking about the same guy who:
-Growed up in a slaugtherhouse
-Killed a mafia boss
-Eaten meat of himself to replace the mafia boss that he just killed
-Get a trusty second hand in the mafia
-Watched ibuki trying to eat him, just to realize seconds later he just killed himself to let him leave the underworld
I think if we look the full scheme of things, loosing one of his legs (wich also was his living curse for him) because he ask to his freak wolf friend to eat it, it's not a big deal (i mean, at least this time he technically was the one who had control over his own suffering)

Louis right foot holds the true power 😳
And one of the shortest ending
He would bury strangers body but eat his friend's leg 🦵 lol 🤣
I can't believe that how it ends
@Lizbeth Sanchez Nope, there's still so much more to go. Likely another season or two to adapt the rest of the series. The manga has 196 chapters so there's a lot more material to cover. As of this episode we're at the halfway point!!!!
I find the end confusing, hopefully a third season will come ... PLEASE!!!
Btw i just love how legoshi in the was just like:
-Taking things to consider, i think i have to live alone and wandering the world
Just to haru to say
-Mf if you that you will talk me again
Legoshi:
-Ok relax it was joke i swear please don't hate me please

A happy ending huh. I guess it is, considering that they skipped over some important details in the manga.
It feels like they're keeping it ambiguous on whether or not their will be a season 3 (even though its highly likely).
@Brad ShadowDog My thinking is yes on the latter, because this doesn't really feel like an ending to me when the manga does actually have a conclusion. I doubt they are just going to leave it hanging here when there's still so much more material to adapt and so far nothing has suggested (at least officially) they are not going to continue on.
@@justinmiddleton8818 although to be fair, the manga doesn't have a proper ending either

It's going to be a while before we come to that point in terms of the anime, but it is true that they ultimately do get together.
I can't remember where I read it, but if I remember correctly, Carnivores with a record of Predation cannot get married to an herbivore.
Also *slight spoiler* >>>>>>>>
In the manga version where Legoshi was fighting Riz in the bathroom, he had a flashback of himself with his grandpa who turned out to be a Komodo Dragon, not a wolf. This flashback simply implies that theres more to the story after the whole fight is over, but they intentionally removed it in the anime to bring a clean closure in season 2.
Now its just up to you whether you wanna read the rest of it from there.
SPOILER
Riz was never charged for Tem’s murder, he was only charged for kidnapping Pina.

I don't know if I enjoyed this season anywhere near as much as season 1 tbh... ill have to read the manga tho
I HATE THAT RABBIT SO MUCH i wished that legoshi falled for Juno >:( SO UNFAIR
