THE DOOM SLAYER IS HERE!!!!!! As a colossal fan of DOOM since the original game, this figma is a very imperative toy but not without some issues. While the proportions of the slayer isn't close to the cg model it still a sweet look, love the accessories, and the articulation while not perfect, it's still good enough to satisfy pulling some kick ass poses. The price is a tough pill to swallow and while there's others to compare (the nedo is very tempting) this one is a good one pick up if you can. Great review and let's *RIP AND TEAR!!!!!!*

I've pre-ordered mine on October of last year and I'm still excited to see! Despite some of its issues and I can definitely see them, I'm just so happy to finally get a Doom figure that shows my love of the franchise. I'm the kind of guy that would collect a figure from a series that I like for the passion, rather than just buying it for fun. Hopefully the one I'll get doesn't have too many issues.

@@skyfigurefun Not yet... unfortunately. BBTS has been constantly delaying the date at when it is supposed to arrive so many times it's not even funny but so far it says it will arrive in April.

You were pretty thorough in this review, outstanding in my opinion. I've had that figure for almost a month and I'm very happy to have it in my collection, despite the minor paint details and choice in joints.
But now I wonder how different the slayer would be if Bandai or Storm Collectibles did their own take.

I felt this guy was really annoying to handle and the lack luster ankles were super saddening,but after seeing this review and some photos online,I may have to give this guy another play session and give him a chance, accessories are godlike (screw the shoulder canon both snapped 😭)
I love this figure! The only gripes I have are the looks for the shoulders, which can be dealt with by posing him. The accessories are awesome but I lost track of the hands so I ended up using the tightest for for each weapon. Will Figma go for a classic look like McFarlane did? I don't think so, this one took GSC to a whole new level to match the bulk with the posing for a big dude. I truly enjoy this one!

Love the review lad, have him pre-ordered last March of 2022 which was expected to arrive last December unfortunately, Mine hasn't arrived yet.
He definitely will fit with my Marvel Legends and my Black Series wave. I have another figmas like Overwatch Reaper, Astolfo, and Nezuko on my collection looking forward to do a review on my channel once I got him at hand.
One of the most comprehensive action figure reviews ive ever seen. I hope you get your hands on a 1000toys master chief and make the same detailed review on it like this someday. 1000toys chief is the perfect companion piece to this figure imo. Great job!
I got the nendoroid because it came with a mini cacodemon and the classic chainsaw.
The Nendo is a great option!
Shame they changed so much as i'd prefer it to be fully accurate, but at least it looks muuuch more like the source material than the Mcfarlane toy, as well as being a pretty solid figure.
The proportions on the macfarlane are beautiful, but the figma wins paint, articulation and poseability
I should be getting mine over the next month since I preordered directly from GoodSmile US and, yes, I preordered day one. I've another preorder from them, the Dread Samus and I may actually take a break after two because... well, things get more expensive for less. And I didn't have a Samus figure (and I missed out on the Prime 3 release) so... better fix that. Plus having them posed together will be great! I'll let you know if anything on the figure is either loose, stiff, broken or just wrong.

I literally just got this in hand today and it’s great. But the shotgun weapons hand holds it kinda loose. Did you have that issue?
Kind of. I found curling the fingers a bit helps. I also forced a bunch of different guns of different sizes in there throughout the recording process so I couldn't objectively say if that is an issue with mine.
He will definitely make a decent start to my collection since I don't have any figure of Doom Slayer at all. I got into the franchise last year and I very much dig it like growing up I heard about it here and there but never really got into it, but anyways I really hope Figma decides to make perhaps the Classic Doom Guy or some of the demons atleast. Regarding the flame belch; If I apply dish soap or heat the flame belch first, you reckon it'll be fine right? I'm scared lol
Don't heat it, that won't work in this situation. Use lube - soap or shock oil - as it needs to be loosened. Just a drop in there and you should be fine.
@@StevensToyReviewsI also heard dish soap might weaken the plastic? It's that true? If it's true I might clean the joint and relube it with shock oil.

I love this figure, but maybe within 30 minutes of playing around with it the shoulder cannon snapped off, it's a real problem that should have totally been caught during QC (I would rather have had the snap point be stiff, there is so much articulation in that cannon already that the twist point where it broke is redundant.)
WE NEED TO ASK GOODSMILE TO MAKE A WEAPONS PACK, COLOR VARIANTS, AND DEMON FIGURES , IF THEY DON'T HEAR US THEY WON'T DO SHT. COME ON, STEVEN, JUMP ON THE BANDWAGON

My figure had some paint bleeding on the visor and my shoulder cannon snapped. I still love the figure but it bothers me that I put in a good amount of money for a figure that has paint issues on the face of all things 😵💫
Mine figure has bleeding paint on the chest area.. The silver one is bleeding out.. Fuuk i buy its expensive figure and leg loose..

I love doom eternal and when I first saw good smile was making a Doom Slayer figure. I was hyped. But I’m still questioning if I should get this figure.

This is prolly the best figure of doomslayer out there, but that’s not a difficult task since the only other alternative is the mcfarlane doomslayer. But you definitely don’t wanna go mcfarlane for doomslayer so this remains the only viable option. The figma elbow joints are still as atrocious as ever, but otherwise I like it.
McFarlane Classic Doomguy is dope though, in my cheap opinion at least
@@gabrielhelms2040 it’s true. But I believe mcfarlane is one of the few if not the only one who have produced a classic doomguy figure.
I thought that too originally. And then when my figma one couldnt even hold the gun due to a loose grip. Involuntary splits due to loose joints and the shoulder accessory being loose I had to swap back to mcfarlane.
never thought id have to switch to mcfarlane over an import version. I was one of the unlucky ones

I feel like the should've left the doom license to 1000toys there master chief was amazing and the probably would have done more versions

I’m trying to get mine. I got mine at the big bad toy store I should have it just kept getting delayed and delayed so I said why not just buy it on Amazon blah blah blah now I owe someone $200 worth of debt,I don’t know how it got this bad either way, I can’t wait
Not sure why you did that. It takes time for product to get to NA retail, especially with the port situation beginning to settle down. As mentioned, he was scheduled for May, then delayed all the way to November. He should be at NA retail within the next month or so.

The proportions look so weird and off compared to the actual game model, it almost looks like one of those awkward looking 1/18 scale figures from e.g. Acid Rain.
I don't give a fuck what anyone says this is 3asily one of the best figures figma has ever put out. It's an outstanding figure. Posing him with the insane amount of accessories, he just looks superb
