She saw their case even though they didn't have the proper paperwork. She gave the humans second chances when none of them really deserved it. Three of them failed her tests miserably showing that they were the same failed people they were when they were sent to the bad place in the first place. Eleanor who didn't fail still threw away her ticket to the good place. And then she gives them a phenomenal third chance where she resets time and fate for just four unimportant humans. And then Michael throws that back in her face with his tampering. Antagonist? More like the most infinitely patient and kindest person in the cosmos.

I live in J-ville, but I don't follow sports, so I had no clue who it was. I remember looking up subtitles to try and find out what Jason said when he burned Acidcat's speedboat.

I think the coolest part about this for me (aside from Maya Rudolph being phenomenal as usual and the moment with Jeff throwing Michael the key) was how the credits were set up to roll at the lowest point of the interaction when Michael and Janet were about to be essentially exterminated, and finish at a point where you thought the episode would have been about to end. And _then_ Janet's first little 'bloop' and "My powers are back online" turns the entire thing around again suddenly, when you least expect it.

As a Brit, I guffawed at the Brexit joke. The idea of Michael accidentally causing it, and other weird stuff, is better than what actually happened. Hate crime has risen, the nation divided, uncertainty, a terrorist killed an MP for it!! But in The Good Place, it happened because of a loveable demon. BTW England has not left Europe. The majority of the *UK* (including Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) voted to leave the EU. Which saddens me deeply.
I feel like the most character improvement is Janet. All the characters have grown in some way but this scene shows just how much Janet has become from a computer with infinite knowledge and power and a written script to emotions and caring about her friends. Chalk it up to what you want, but I can't see Janet as a computer or entity anymore. She's a human with awesome powers that is very concerned about what will happen to her and her friends. Just look at 1:46!!!
When you realise that Janet actually gets her powers back as soon as she walks through the doorway so in this scene she generated all those items on the spot as a way to escape...
