Oh no Daniel. “There must be some good wine in the Plzen. I’d go for that rather than beer……” ( pr words to that effect)…… in the town where Pilsner beer was invented…… 🤦♂️
I was horrified I tell you when he said that. Horrified. Considered giving him 'the Ashworth' and firing him into the sun but will give him a chance to make amends. White wine in Plzen. For the love of all that's holy.
the team shouldn’t turn to dust because bruno is removed, that’s a huge problem. if he gets injured does united end the season in the bottom half? gotta find another way asap
I get bruno is our best attacking player but thought Bruno was brutal on Saturday imo, gave the ball away needlessly for the 2nd goal n it wasn't working for him bar his goal.
This whole sacking his seems really weird tbh. The reports are that he didn’t want Amorim and wanted a British coach but he wasn’t let go when they signed someone else but instead a day after a crap loss against Forest. Seems really reactionary which is worrying
It will seem weird because we don't have ANY information about what went on. I suppose it depends on what happened after the club hired Amorim. Whether Ashworth got on board behind Amorim and fully commited, or felt like he hadn't been listened to, held a grudge, and was going round after Arsenal saying things like, "See... I told you we should have got someone else!" There's a good chance he didn't realise he wasn't going to be THE man, and would have to work within an executive team. If he joined thinking he was going to have full authority, then that's probably on him. I don't think anyone else was under the misconception that there would be anything other than a senior executive committee making the final decisions.
Not sure wht U r saying? His whole philosophy was clearly against Amorim and he clearly didn’t want Amorim. But to assess this and say he was pushing for southgate is a complete non-sequitur.
I would sell any player in the squad except kobbie and amad, the rest can do one. Mentally weak, technically rubbish and lacking spines. I hate this group of players.
hojulnd apart from not being able to get the ball and not knowing what do do when he gets it and being as stiff as a 40 year old Harry Kane. Yeah there is a player there.
Now we're going to the opposite end; Glazers let everyone and everything just linger in the doldrums and apathy; Sir Jim is extremely impatient and swings his axe like at Nice...neither extreme seems very good for the club but Sir Jim's seems marginally (see what I did there) better. I don't know about Ashworth and Brailsford, are they Ted-talking powerpointers or smart guys? But I think Berrada and Wilcox know their stuff and maybe they thought Ashworth was too wishy-washy.
In the the old RantCast written article days I always assumed Ed stood for Editor's comment.
Every time i think we hit rock bottom something else hilarious happens that sinks us a few centimetres deeper
Extended ten hag then sacked him costing them millions
Paid millions for ashworth and sacked him 5 months in the contract
Ineos off to a hot start

Would Jaden Sancho have been any good in one of Amorim's No.10s ?
Jadon has a massive chip on his shoulder about United giving him months off while paying him £300k a week. So in theory, maybe, in reality, no.

Yeah.... we all know who the big dog is in the executive team
Why hasn't anyone done the Victoria Plzen, I thought that was a supermodel joke?
There’s still time

Amorim is a perfectly accurate meteorologist tbf Ed
Ashworth never wanted southgate per the athletic, Romano and the times… I think ESPN just made it up. He defo wanted potter tho.
Are those media pictures not really weird then. Dan smiling and being all jolly welcoming Amorim when he didn’t want him

Same moon..... same
You Forgot De Gea's howler away at Arsenal!

How is a guy who has never won a thing a “10/10”or “best in class”?
Best to acknowledge a mistake early, but we look like fools. Again.
Chablis IS Chardonnay Ed...
Don't drink white... as you can tell!
