We’re on the road!! We’re sooo excited to finally be living in the van and showing you beautiful destinations in BC! What did you think of the lay-flat captain chair? 😂
Your chairs look so comfy and awesome! Maddy would've napped for sure! Love Erics Travel hat, looks very adventurous and Canadian :D Getting gas for us is also every time painfull :/
I enjoyed this video beyond words! The scenario of Canada from the road was just breathtaking. Eric and Sarah, your use of the drone made the video awesome. I am glad that your hard work paid off in Spades! Looking forward to the upcoming adventures through Canada as only you can do!
I had a VW bug back in the 70’s with the big bumpers. The gas hose was caught on the bumper when I pulled away and the whole gas tank fell over and caught on fire. Luckily the attendant was able to shut off the gas and the fire truck was there in a matter of minutes. I definitely always check to make sure my car is free from the gas hose!! Safe travels. I have 1993 Chevy class b that I am getting ready for retirement travel. Your video really helped me figure out the inside redo. You did a great job!
So excited for you! Our neighbors when we were staying in San Jose del Cabo in '21 just built a home in OK Falls, this will be a treat to see the area through your eyes!
Oh small world!! Unfortunately we didn’t film a video in OK falls because we wanted to fully enjoy our time with our friends… but we’ll show you more of the Okanagan next week :)
Perfect 💕💖💕 Good to see you out and about - - happy and, Canada looks beautiful.. I've only seen the country from above which certainly is beautiful.. Glad to see this is also so, on the ground 😊 I hope you find your friends and, do enjoy some summertime off 😊😊
Yay, road trip begins. Can't wait to see the views. Drive carefully as I see Gord the Ford doesn't come with headrests. Love the hat Eric. Gas where I live in Ontario is currently 2.24 L, hopefully the price goes down for you guys. Cheers.
It’s a lot of gas but pay off is you can go a lot of miles with out filling up. Good in america for like Nevada, Arizona, Texas where you get long stretches of open road and gas is few and fart between. But if you have only one good gas gauge you should use the non gauged tank first then the second tank as the last tank. But when I had dual tanks I would fill one tank with like 5 gallons and it was my back up tank, and other tank was primary.
Haha loved your excitement in the beginning of the video! Reminded us of our first day in the RV. We also made a stop at Canadian tire 😂BC sure is beautiful! We are currently exploring a little town called Invermere.😊
I mean Canadian Tire is nice but it's no Tim Horton's. Bon Voyage! İyi yolculuklar! Buen viaje! Great conversations. Great camera setup in the van for on-the-road conversations.
So happy for you guys , let’s see the adventures in Canada 🇨🇦 😃😃 but you forgot one important thing for travelling ……. Tim Hortons 😆😆😆😆 all the best y muchas bendiciones ♥️
Don’t laugh about pulling away still connected to the gas pump. Happened to me when I was traveling with another family in Austria. Pulled the tank right off the stand. I was the only one who spoke any German and they called me in to translate/mediate with the very angry proprietor 😳
@@EricandSarah Hahaha! At the time it was. One hot headed Austrian who was demanding far too much payment (it was his young son who told us to move forward and didn’t remove the nozzle and was now nowhere to be seen) and the American head of the family I was traveling with who responded in kind. I was 20 years old and at that time only knew a smattering of high school German. It kept escalating until the proprietor started shouting “Aus! Aus!” I knew what that meant and told all he wanted us to leave. We contacted the BP company when we got back to the states and paid the far lesser amount of repairs needed so all ended well and we laugh about it to this day.
To bad for British Columbians that is what you get when you elect a Liberal NDP government they have a habit of making life very expensive for everyone. Here in Alberta we still enjoying lower gas prices. Sorry guys!
"Lower" gas prices lol. Been nice to see it going down a bit at least. Much as I like to blame the ndp and the libs for things, it's really not their doing this time. Everything else is still their fault though lol

Looks SOOO comfy!
Check your clutch fan. Some of those fords were notorious for slipping and not spinning the fan, thus overheating.
Thanks for the suggestion! We’ll have to check that out 😊

The first day jitters are the best! 😄 And Invermere is a cool little town. Enjoy!
So sad I'm missing out on bc summer!!!
It truly is the best!!
Make sure you check the temperature of the engine especially going up hill
Always! That’s why we stopped for a bit when it got too hot :)
Congrats on being able to get out there!!! If I was in that captain chair I would be napping ALL DAY 😂
Hahaha we definitely both nap any time we’re the passenger 😂😂 you can’t not!
Great video that I’m watching in 2024 😂
We’re happy people are still enjoying it a few years later!! 😄
I mean Canadian Tire is nice but it's no Tim Horton's. Bon Voyage! İyi yolculuklar! Buen viaje! Great conversations. Great camera setup in the van for on-the-road conversations.
Hahaha I’m sure we’ll make plenty of Tim Horton’s stops in the future too 😉
Gas is now almost double that!
So happy for you guys , let’s see the adventures in Canada 🇨🇦 😃😃 but you forgot one important thing for travelling ……. Tim Hortons 😆😆😆😆 all the best y muchas bendiciones ♥️
Hahaha don’t worry we’ll make plenty of Tim Hortons stops over the summer 😉
$2.07 is cheap its $4,61 in NY state
Except that our gas is calculated in Canadian dollars and litres so $2.07CAD/litre is the equivalent of about $6.15USD/gallon I believe 😳
I see “Froggy” made a debut 😊
He’s a part of the van these days ☺️

No way!! Eric is happy to hear that it’s a very rational fear. That sounds like a stressful experience!

That seatbelt isn’t going to save you!
2.07 per gallon for gas!!!! cheap af
Per litre. Canada uses litres!
