I have to say this man because I hate to underestimate good football teams and SMU is a good football team. Who have they really played? PSU is battle tested in the big 10. I mean who has SMU played against and yes, I am including Clemson who I think this year are mediocre at best and they most likely be one and done. And you are telling me this team is going to come into Happy Valley and pull a win? Ok I get is we do have Franklin, and we can't underestimate his ability to F-up, nor this team beating themselves with stupid penalties, or the ability of the refs not to "see" blatant holding calls, but still.
I was chatting with an SMU fan and I compared SMU to Illinois only a little worse and he got very insulted. I did point out that Illinois is a pretty good team, but he couldn't be assuaged
@@teekay_1That’s the team I was comparing them to as well, but I think they’re slightly better than Illinois. The unfortunate thing for SMU is that they’ve been a 2nd half team, and PSU has the #1 2nd half defense in the country and the #16 2nd half offense And obviously the stadium is going to do what the stadium does.
Exactly. I couldn't take another Um Um Um Um Um Um Um Um Um Um Um Um Um Um Um. I thought it was Jerry Jones years ago before he learned how to speak publicly
Franklin will still call it a successful season if he loses to either Smooooo or Boise. But the season will in fact be #Wasted!! ...if PSU doesn't make it to the final 4.
Boise State always shows up ready to play. They were Giant killers. If PSU makes it to that game, can they completely sell out to stop the run and win?

@@the_ap_1561 One thing is almost certain, Vegas will give Boise waaaay too many points. Since the PSU defense can't tackle even if their life depended on it I am expecting a close game. But methinx PSU will score quickly while Boise grinds it out and comes up just short. It won't be an easy win for PSU.
This is a issue like TCU went through when they played Georgia for the championship....SMU is just a team that can't play Big Boy Football... maybe the real question who would be a tougher opponent for Penn State...? SMU or Alabama?
Alabama. Big programs have depth where they can rotate players, particularly the o-line and d-line so it would be a bigger challenge. I don't think SMU has reached that rarified air where the second string players can compete for a starting job.
SMU is very good and the last thing we want to do is underestimating our opponent.
I think he is underestimating how loud our Stadium gets
He compared BC and Tulane so yea I think he might be
@@pepoutdoors2735The largest road stadium they played in this year was Louisville. 😂
It's not a zero factor but it's like a "we enjoy the challenge of the atmosphere"
Long range weather forecast is for 26°with 10 mi an hour winds Brrrr!
I watched the replay of the ACC title game two days ago on the ACC channel. It was....uh.... interesting.
This is going to be a very competitive game … come on PSU!
Adisa Isaac is the other high draft DE pick from last year.
Pony Up 🐎 SMU
Penn State doesn’t have the coaching to underestimate any opponent. They have to go out and totally own the game. Fight in the trenches every game.
Good show but as a podcaster you don't have to do resets like a radio host at 7:36
Wasn't Paterno the only coach who voted for SMU (11-0-1) over Penn State (11-1) in the Final 1982 Coaches' Poll?
Paterno and Judgement don't go well together (Sandusky)
I love that Bob wears a Buc'ees visor. Greatest "gas station" on the planet. If youve never come to TX and visit Buc'ees, you havent lived.

No team from the Big10 or ACC has a shot at this thing. It’s between either Texas or Georgia.
Oregon has the best team money can buy...
Thats what they said last year
The Trxas that lost 2 times against Georgia?
But apparently, Texas has a really good truckstop.

I would caution you to not ridicule SMU. That gives them a cause
@@peterwhite7428penn st gonna do what it always does in big games…
@@peterwhite7428 If SMU players are looking on TH-cam to get them motivated, then they've already lost the game.
@SurferRC agreed. SMU will be a tough game.
