It does tend to have slightly soapy feel but in a very good way. However, fragrances are subjective, some may like it some may not. I always recommend decants before making the purchasing decision(though I blind buy fragrances generally and some grow on me over time) However I don't get the detergent vibe, it may be the floral notes that you feel like detergent smell. I get around 7 to 8 hours on my clothes in high summer heat. Though after 3 hours it sits closer to the skin. If you have ordered this fragrance recently then let it macerate. Keep it in a dark cool place devoid of any sunlight. I think you will get significant performance and if possible try on clothes since they last longer on clothes. I hav fatan and its scent is like an Oaisis in Summer.....Do U think Profumo or Porto Neroli , which 1 is Good 4 Indian summer daily use/ office or casual use???? Lemme know...
personally I love the porto neroli more and very good. It's very inoffensive and good for both casual as well as formal use. But you have to carry a decant. the profumo has slightly more longeivity but porto neroli smell is awesome. However smell is again a personal choice. If you are looking for strong summer perfume try the ajayeb too it's very underrated. If you like the video subscribe for more reviews. Thanks

Ajayeb dubai has a good fragrance but poor performance.
